【辩论赛】一场有关智能电子产品使用的激烈“舌战”——VBS举办第二届家校联合辩论赛

万双网讯  学生使用智能电子产品辅助学习是“利大于弊”还是“弊大于利”? 4月27日晚,万科双语学校第二届家校联合辩论赛在学校剧场举行。学生与家长联合组成正反两个战队展开了一场激烈的“舌战”。杨帆校长、林红英校长助理、吴珂主任、初中部分老师、七年级全体学生参与了本次活动。

 

VBS News Net: Do the cons outweigh the pros in using electronic products to complement studies for students? On April 27, VBS held the 2nd debate on electronic devices between students and parents at the school theatre. 4月初,根据自愿原则从各班同学和家长中招募辩手,确定各自观点。此次辩论赛在选择观点的过程中,出现了与上届辩论不同的情况,不再是学生和家长观点针锋相对,而是家长和学生都有选择正方和反方的,也就是两个辩论队都由学生和家长共同组成。更有意思的是有一对父子分列不同阵营。这正体现了万双思想开放、和谐包容的特点。

 

At the beginning of April, debaters were recruited from each class. It was different from the previous debate that students and their parents were no longer opposed to each other, but both chose the pros and cons. What's more interesting was that there was a father and a son on different sides.

 

4月27日晚,伴随主持人衣鹏老师幽默的开场辞,大赛拉开帷幕。正方一辩祝凯盈同学首先陈词:“智能电子产品改变了传统教育的方法,提高了学习时效,顺应了科技发展的趋势,能高效辅助学习”,台下的同学和老师们信服地不断点头。

 

On April 27, the debate started with the opening by Mr. Yipeng, who hosted the debate. Zhu Kaiying, the first speaker of the positive side, explained, 'Electronic devices have changed the way of learning, and the development of technology can efficiently help us in learning.'

反方一辩方释健同学的陈词同样精彩:“智能电子产品会在某一程度上局限我们的思维,也无法保证效率与知识的权威性,而且中学生缺乏自律性,容易沉迷网络,不能有效辅助学习。”

 

Fang Shi Jian, the first speaker of the negative side, stated, 'Electronic devices will limit our thinking, and can not guarantee the efficiency and authority of knowledge. Moreover, junior high school students lack self-discipline and are prone to indulge on the Internet. Electronic devices can not efficiently help us in learning.'

自由辩环节伍宣静同学气势惊人,条理清晰地打出己方观点:“智能电子产品辅助学习带来便利的同时也让学生依赖网络获取答案而丧失自主思考,不利于人格构建,更不利于我们学习。”

 

In the free debate session, Wu Xuanjing stated her opinion, 'Electronic devices make students rely on the Internet and lose their independent thinking, which is detrimental to our learning and personality construction.'

正方邓力夫爸爸情感丰沛,以开放幽默的态度面对智能化的未来:“因为有了互联网和电子产品,第一次知道‘湖’读hu而不是fu,湖南人太难了!感谢智能电子产品,使人们更简单地获取知识,帮助学习。”

正方四辩张悠然则铿锵有力:“智能电子产品辅助学习可以打破思维局限性,降低学习成本,让教育资源公平化,让我们能方便快速地学到想要的知识。”

 

Zhang Youran, the 4th speaker of the positive side, believed, 'Electronic devices can break the limitations of thinking, reduce learning costs, make educational resources fair, and allow us to learn the knowledge we want quickly and easily.'

辩论赛的最后一个环节是台下的同学向台上的各位辩手提问,同学们积极举手,踊跃参与。

 

 In the last part of the debate, the students asked questions to the debaters on the stage. The students raised their hands and participated actively.

























 

辩论赛主席高鹏博老师感慨地说:“从这场辩论中,家长辩手们的认真热情让我感动,我看到了同学们自信的态度和严密的逻辑,你们让我看到了,创造美好未来的中国公民是什么样!”

赛后,杨帆校长为“最佳辩手”邓力夫爸爸、伍宣静同学、“最佳风采奖”获得者陈乐聆同学和张悠然同学颁奖。

 

After the debate, Principal Yang presented awards to the best debaters, Deng Lifu's father, Wu Xuanjing, and the Optimum Mien Award winners Chen Leling and Zhang Youran.

“观点没有输赢”。林红英校长助理总结道,“希望能够通过这次辩论赛,让每位同学明白,在我们的学习和生活中该如何对待电子产品,让它更好地辅助我们的学习。感谢每位家长,你们的支持和包容,让家校又实现了一次良好的沟通,相信我们的孩子一定会更加自主自制,创造美好未来!”

 

Assistant Principal Ms. Lin concluded, 'I hope that every student can understand how to treat electronic devices in our study and life so that they can better help you in learning. I want to thank every parent, and I believe that our children can control themselves well and create a better future!'

活动结束后,回到班级的同学们热情不减,继续讨论万双制定“电子产品使用公约”的意义。家长们充满激情,对孩子们的表现赞不绝口。

 

After the activity, the students returned to the class and continued to discuss the significance of the regulation on using electronic gadgets. Parents were full of enthusiasm and praised the students for their excellent performance.






 

未来是人工智能的时代,对于电子智能产品的使用,万科双语学校没有采取简单的限制措施,而是通过辩论的形式,让学生、家长、教师从各自角度出发,基于民主、平等的原则,开展辩论、商讨等系列活动,增进彼此的理解和信任,制定《万科双语学校学生使用电子产品公约》。既起到引导和规范的作用,又适应时代发展积极发挥电子智能产品应有的作用。本次活动对于培养学生卓越的批判性思维、优异的演讲与合作能力、自觉合理合规使用电子产品、爱眼护眼等具有重要意义。

 

The future is about AI. VBS has not adopted simple restrictions for using electronic devices. Instead, a series of debates and discussions enhanced the understanding and trust between students and parents. Discussed jointly by parents, teachers, and students, on the basis of equality, regulation on using electronic gadgets for VBS students will be published. This event was of great significance for cultivating students' critical thinking, speech, and cooperation skills.

2020年7月10日,由学生、家长、教师平等协商制订的《万科双语学校学生使用电子产品公约》正式推出,全校600余名学生、家长及各班班主任在公约上郑重签名。此举标志着学生将以契约的方式使用电子产品,有章可循,有“法”可依。

 

Discussed jointly by parents, teachers, and students, on the basis of equality, regulation on using electronic gadgets for VBS students was published on July 10 with the signatures of 600 students, parents and class teachers across the school. This would mean that students have to use electronic gadgets with rules and regulations which they had agreed on.
