万双网讯  为认真贯彻落实习近平新时代中国特色社会主义思想，培育和弘扬社会主义核心价值观，更好地运用传统节日弘扬民族优秀文化传统，推进中华民族共同精神家园建设，值此中国共产党建党100 周年到来之际，在清明节期间，深圳市龙华区万科双语学校组织开展了 “传承红色基因  继承优良传统”主题教育活动。

VBS News Net: As it's the 100th anniversary of CPC's founding, VBS organized an educational activity on inheriting the red gene and the excellent Chinese tradition during the Tomb-Sweeping Day.

4月1日下午，万科双语学校（各班委派两到三名同学）70名学生来到深圳革命烈士陵园祭奠革命先烈。

On the afternoon of April 1, 70 VBS students came to the Shenzhen Revolutionary Martyrs Cemetery to pay homage to the revolutionary martyrs.

在深圳革命烈士纪念馆，同学们聆听了“全国公安系统抗震救灾先进个人” “全国三八红旗手”、原武警广东省公安边防总队机动支队卫生队队长陈伟红的报告。陈伟红老师以“不负韶华 只争朝夕”为题，生动地讲述了在汶川大地震中的所见所闻所感，说到动情处，禁不住潸然泪下。同学们认真聆听，深深被地震中惨烈的故事、受伤少年的坚强、救援英雄的事迹感染，眼里噙满了泪花，对英雄充满了崇敬，坚定了珍爱生命的信念。

At the Shenzhen Revolutionary Martyrs Memorial Hall, the students listened to the report by Chen Weihong, the National Advanced Individual for Earthquake and Disaster Relief, the Bearer of Red Flag March 8, and the former head of Guangdong Provincial Public Security Border Defense Corps medical team, Ms. Chen Weihong couldn't help crying when she vividly described what she saw during the Wenchuan earthquake. The students listened carefully and were deeply affected by the tragic story of the earthquake. Tears filled their eyes, full of respect for the heroes.

在革命烈士纪念碑前，全体师生默哀、鞠躬，全体少先队员重温入队誓词，在纪念碑前庄严宣誓：“我是中国少年先锋队队员。我宣誓：我热爱中国共产党，热爱祖国，热爱人民，好好学习，好好锻炼，准备着：为共产主义事业贡献力量！” 同学们铿锵的誓言在烈士陵园久久回荡。

In front of the Revolutionary Martyrs Monument, all the teachers and students mourned and bowed. All the young pioneers reviewed the oath and swore in front of the monument, 'I am a Chinese Young Pioneer member. I swear that I love the CPC, love our motherland, and love our people. I'll study hard and get ready to contribute to communism!' The vows of the students echoed in the Martyrs Cemetery for a long time.

接着，全体师生怀着崇敬的心情瞻仰纪念碑，并敬献鲜花。2C班的两位同学(陈明雅 、张孟遥)郑重地将班级同学写给烈士的信件放在纪念碑前。同学们在信中写道：“谢谢你们用生命换来了我们的和平生活，我们永远不会忘记你们。”

Then, all teachers and students admired the monument with reverence and presented flowers. Two students from 2C placed the letters written by their classmates to the martyrs in front of the memorial. The students wrote, 'Thank you for trading your lives for our peaceful time. We will never forget you.'

8G班陈鸿屹同学写道：“他们对于整个国家来说可能很渺小，但他们做的事绝不渺小。他们的名字可能会被遗忘，但他们所做的贡献、他们的精神决不会被遗忘。在今天，我们缅怀他们，就是为了不要遗忘。要记住：我们今天所有美好的一切，都是他们用生命换来的。”

Chen Hongyi from 8G wrote, 'We may forget their names, but we'll never forget their contributions and spirits. Please remember that they traded their lives for our peaceful time.'

本次系列活动为同学们继承和学习革命英烈不畏艰难、勇于献身的革命精神提供了实践平台，培养了青少年对中华民族优秀文化的高度认同，更是一次通过学习先烈、敬仰先贤、追忆先人获得具有震撼性的精神洗礼和灵魂熏陶的宝贵机会，也是实实在在地践行社会主义核心价值观的生动载体，激发了同学们浓厚的家国情怀。

This series of activities provided a practical platform for students to inherit and learn from heroes' spirit, cultivated young people's recognition for the excellent Chinese culture. It is also an actual practice of socialism's core values, which inspires patriotism among the students.

On March 23, the first League class of the Youth League branch and student union handover ceremony was held in the theater. School Party Branch Secretary Yang Fan, Principal Assistant Ms. Lin, Deputy Director of the Development Center Mr. Wu Ke, and all the class teachers, young teachers, and students from Years 7 to 9 participated in this activity.

3月29日，万科双语学校各班召开主题班会，全面学习清明节知识，了解清明节的来历、民俗，深入学习革命先烈的革命传统故事，并开展清明节气经典诗词诵读、班级演讲、清明假期实践作业等多项活动。在实践作业中，四五年级同学登入“中华英烈网”，使用云祭祀的方式缅怀英雄，用文字或诗歌记录英烈故事，写下感想。

On March 29, each class held a class meeting to learn the knowledge of Tomb-Sweeping Day comprehensively. It helped students learn the origin of the Tomb-Sweeping Day, folk customs, and the revolutionary martyrs'  stories. They did classic poetry reading, speeches, and Tomb-Sweeping Day holiday Practice homework. In the practical work, students in Years 4 and 5 logged on to chinamartyrs.gov.cn to cherish heroes' memory and wrote down their thoughts.
