Recently, the 2025 "Hurun·Brilliant Future Education Awards Ceremony" was successfully held in Shanghai. With the theme "Boundless Intelligent Education · Co-creation and Co-advancement," the event aimed to gather global wisdom and jointly envision the future of education. At this prestigious gathering, Vanke Bilingual School was honored with the title of "2025 Education Impact Brand," and Principal Yang Fan of Vanke Bilingual School was awarded "2025 Influential Figure in the Education Industry."

Host: Thank you for accepting the interview. To begin, could you please briefly introduce your school?


杨帆校长:深圳市龙华区万科双语学校是由万科教育发展基金会创办的一所九年一贯制义务教育民办学校,于2018年9月正式开学。


Principal Yang Fan: Shenzhen Longhua Vanke Bilingual School is a private nine-year compulsory education institution established by the Vanke Education Development Foundation. It officially opened in September 2018.


学校坚持“让孩子站在未来中央”的办学理念,基于国家课程内容,吸收国际教育先进理念,创造性开设中西融合的、线上线下结合的、为学生成长服务的多元一体的万科双语课程体系,采用沉浸式的双语教学、PBL-STEM+跨学科融合教与学,积极打造差异性、回应式的因材施教的课堂,通过自主发展方案以及自主学习时间空间营造的途径,充分激发孩子学习内驱力,致力于培养身体健康、人格健全、学力卓越,具有家国情怀和国际视野, 敢于创造美好未来的中国公民。


The school adheres to the educational philosophy of "letting our children experience the future." Building on the national curriculum while incorporating advanced international educational concepts, we have creatively developed a multifaceted Vanke bilingual curriculum system that integrates Chinese and Western approaches, combines online and offline learning, and is dedicated to supporting student development. Through immersive bilingual teaching, PBL-STEM+ interdisciplinary education, and a commitment to creating differentiated, responsive classrooms tailored to individual student needs, we strive to fully ignite students' intrinsic motivation to learn. This is achieved through personalized development plans and the provision of autonomous learning time and space. Our goal is to nurture well-rounded Chinese citizens who are physically healthy, emotionally balanced, academically accomplished, deeply rooted in their cultural identity yet globally minded, and courageous enough to create a better future.


目前,学校被广东省棋类协会授予广东省国际象棋特色学校称号,获评广东省绿色学校,成为深圳市首批四所预防近视试点校之一,通过2022国际生态学校绿旗认证,被评为中国登山协会攀岩特色学校、深圳市语言文字规范化示范学校、深圳市健康促进学校。


Currently, the school has been honored with the title of "Guangdong Provincial Chess Characteristic School" by the Guangdong Provincial Chess Association, recognized as a "Green School of Guangdong Province," and selected as one of the first four pilot schools in Shenzhen for myopia prevention. It has also achieved the Green Flag certification from the international Eco-Schools program in 2022, and been designated as a "Climbing Characteristic School" by the Chinese Mountaineering Association, a "Shenzhen Language Standardization Model School," and a "Shenzhen Health Promotion School."

Vanke Bilingual School builds a learning community based on a “growth mindset,” with lifelong growth as its core value. Students develop through compulsory courses such as “Life Planning” alongside participation in diverse activities; teachers advance through the “Teacher Professional Development Institute”; and parents grow through the “Parent Development Institute.” This makes the school a dynamic learning environment where students, teachers, and parents grow together, laying a solid foundation for creating a forward-looking, innovative international school.

Since its establishment, the school has earned a strong reputation in the community. In December 2022, an expert panel for evaluating the performance of private compulsory education schools in Shenzhen visited Vanke Bilingual School to conduct an assessment. After careful evaluation, the panel unanimously concluded that Vanke Bilingual School is a high-quality brand institution with forward-thinking educational philosophy, clear development direction, emerging distinctive features, standardized and orderly management, commendable educational quality, rich campus culture, and a comfortable and beautiful environment. It fosters a positive, growth-oriented atmosphere and is highly regarded by students, appreciated by parents, and praised by society. There is great anticipation for Vanke Bilingual School to become an influential model for private schools in Shenzhen and even the Greater Bay Area.

结构重组:取消传统教研组,按学科与领域成立语文、数学、英语学科委员会以及体育与健康、科技教育委员会,强化跨年级、跨学科的教学研究与资源整合。


Structural Reorganization: Traditional teaching and research groups have been replaced by the establishment of subject and domain committees—such as the Chinese Language, Mathematics, and English Subject Committees, along with the Physical Education & Health and Technology Education Committees—strengthening cross-grade and interdisciplinary teaching research and resource integration.


机制创新:倡导成立教师实践社群(Communities of Practice,简称CoP),使老师们能够根据真实的教育教学过程中遇到的问题,选择各自感兴趣的,自由组合成研究小组,进行深入研究和自主实践,有效促进了教师的工作自主性,研究成果能够更快地对教育教学起效,惠及所有学生。


Mechanism Innovation: The school encourages the formation of Communities of Practice (CoP), allowing teachers to voluntarily form research groups based on real educational challenges they encounter and their personal interests. This promotes in-depth study and autonomous practice, effectively enhancing teachers’ professional autonomy. Research outcomes can then be applied more rapidly to teaching and learning, benefiting all students.
