万双网讯  2025年2月8日,深圳万科双语学校以“追光前行,Fun肆奔跑”乐跑活动欢快开启新学期杨帆校长亲自为老师们发放红包,传递新年的祝福与奋进的力量。在这片欢乐的氛围背后,学校正悄然深化一场关于教学勇气与教育转变的深刻探讨。早在2018年建校之际,万科双语学校便敏锐捕捉到人工智能发展的趋势,率先从小学一年级开始开设中小学人工智能课程,积极培养学生卓越的创造力、想象力、思维力及信息素养。近几年,学校更持续通过一系列专业培训和研讨活动,持续助力各科教师在AI时代的挑战下重拾教学勇气共同探索并开辟适应新时代需求的教育新路径


On February 8, 2025, Vanke Bilingual School in Shenzhen kicked off the new semester with a fun run event titled “Chasing Light and Running Joyfully.” Principal Yang Fan personally distributed red envelopes to the teachers, conveying New Year’s blessings and the power of progress. Within this joyful atmosphere, the school held a deep and profound discussion on teaching courage and educational transformation. From its establishment in 2018, Vanke Bilingual School has keenly followed the trend of artificial intelligence development, pioneering the integration of AI courses into the school’s curriculum starting from first grade, actively nurturing students’ exceptional creativity, imagination, thinking skills, and informational literacy. In recent years, the school has continued to support teachers across various subjects in regaining their teaching confidence in the face of AI challenges through a series of professional training and discussion activities, collectively exploring and paving new educational paths that meet the needs of the new era.

The core team of the PBL project from Zhangjiang Hi-tech Experimental Primary School, a seed school for project-based learning in Shanghai’s Pudong New District, brought a series of high-quality project-based learning lectures to the teachers at VBS. Their team showcased how to tightly integrate theoretical knowledge with real-world problems across core subjects such as science, mathematics, and English through carefully designed project learning cases, effectively igniting students’ inquiry desires and innovative capabilities. These cases not only provided rich teaching references for teachers but also prompted them to deeply reflect on the application value of intelligent technologies in education. In the discussion titled “Empowering Students’ Collaboration and Innovation Skills through Intelligent Technology from a Child's Perspective,” teachers recognized that intelligent technology is not only an auxiliary tool for teaching but also a key force driving educational reform. It can provide students with more personalized and diversified learning experiences, helping to enhance their innovative abilities through collaborative communication. This understanding offers teachers clear direction and ideas for better integrating intelligent technology with traditional teaching methods for their future endeavors.

Dr. Yuan Hui, Vice Principal of Science at VBS, approached the topic from a macro perspective with his presentation on “Digital Literacy — A Discussion on Educational Reform Based on Artificial Intelligence.” He delved into the cutting-edge applications of AI technology in the field of education. He pointed out that VBS has always been at the forefront of digital education; as early as 2022, the school began developing its own digital platform to assist teachers in deeply integrating AI technology into teaching practices and constructing a personalized AI digital teaching system, seizing the initiative in educational reform. This lecture not only answered teachers’ questions but also ignited their passion and confidence in facing the challenges posed by AI. Dr. Yuan, who emphasized that teachers should approach AI technology as a driving force for educational innovation rather than an adaptation that will lead to the path of educational development.

Although AI possesses vast knowledge and powerful problem-solving abilities, it struggles to deliver the depth of wisdom encapsulated in the proverb “teaching a person to fish.” Director Zhou Jinfen, in her lecture titled “Caring for Children's Growth in the Subtle Details,” presented a multifaceted interpretation of the diverse roles of teachers in the AI era, drawing upon her deep educational background. She profoundly noted that each child’s growth is a beautifully complex system requiring teachers to nurture them with immense love while also utilizing professional knowledge and keen observation skills to meticulously craft personalized teaching plans that provide precise and effective guidance that helps children move steadily along their paths of growth. Through narrative and direct research, Director Zhou integrates this philosophy into daily educational practice, showcasing the professionalism and logic of education while infusing it with warmth and emotion. She asserted that education is not merely the transfer of knowledge but a comprehensive process that stimulates students' intrinsic motivation and cultivates their logical thinking and problem-solving abilities. In the school’s operations, safety always occupies an unshakable primary position. To this end, the school specially invited Li Xiang, an emergency rescue trainer and evaluator from the National Emergency Management Department, to conduct first aid training for teachers. Through practical exercises, teachers mastered basic first aid skills, providing solid assurance for students’ safety. School safety supervisor Teacher Zhang Kun analyzed the current campus safety situation and shared strategies for enhancing campus safety while at work.

Teacher Chen Jiamin delivered a special presentation entitled “Enhancing Educational Teaching Levels to Safeguard our Children.” She emphasized the importance of comprehensively strengthening ideological and political thinking among the teaching staff and significantly improving teachers’ professional ethics, also discussing ways to support the independent development of classes and students to protect children's healthy growth.

She elaborated on the new physical examination policy and the arrangements for recess activities, aiming to help teachers better guide students in recognizing the importance of physical exercise and enhancing their interest while ensuring that students receive sufficient exercise and development in physical activities.

The school offers economics courses for grades 1-3 and philosophy courses for grades 6-7, aimed at helping students build unique cognitive frameworks and enhancing their abilities to analyze and solve real-life problems. By bringing the lessons taught by economics and philosophy teachers into this training hall, teachers gained a deeper understanding of students' learning content, optimized teaching strategies, and promoted the refinement of students’ cognitive structures and the enhancement of higher-order thinking abilities. On this basis, Principal Yang shared profound insights based on the concept of “Teaching Courage.” She encouraged teachers not to fear the challenges posed by artificial intelligence in education but to rediscover the intrinsic strength and belief behind choosing to be a teacher, by empathizing with students’ needs and exploring innovative teaching models.
