万双网讯  2025蛇年即将携着新春的蓬勃朝气踏步而来之际，我们满怀期待地迎接首个世界非遗版春节的盛大登场。提及春节，那舌尖上不可或缺的美食非饺子莫属，它承载着诸多喜庆祥瑞的寓意。在万科双语学校传统的冬至包饺子活动中，我们借此契机，提前奏响了迎春的序曲。

As we approach the Year of the Snake in 2025, filled with the vibrant energy of the Spring Festival, we eagerly anticipate the grand debut of the first World Intangible Cultural Heritage Spring Festival. When it comes to the Chinese New Year, dumplings are a delicacy that carries a lot of joyful and auspicious meanings. During the traditional winter solstice dumpling-making event at Vanke Bilingual School, we seized this opportunity to herald the arrival of spring.

活动伊始，杨帆校长向全体老师致谢并送上祝福，希望大家在活动中增进情感，感受家的温暖和节日的欢乐。她提到春节被列入世界非物质文化遗产，通过包饺子活动，老师们体验并传承中华文化，增强爱国情怀。学校将不断努力，营造一个和谐、温馨、充满活力的工作环境，确保每位教师在工作中感到快乐，生活中得到关爱。

At the beginning of the event, Principal Yang Fan expressed gratitude to all the teachers and extended her best wishes, hoping that everyone would strengthen their bonds of friendship and experience the warmth of home and the joy of the festival. She highlighted that the Spring Festival has been recognized as a part of the world’s intangible cultural heritage list, and through the dumpling-making activity, teachers can engage with and pass on Chinese culture, thereby showing their patriotic spirit. The school will continue to strive to create a harmonious, warm, and vibrant working environment, ensuring that every teacher feels joy in their work and receives care in their lives.

活动现场，桌上摆放着七种精心准备的馅料和三种不同颜色的面皮，新鲜的肉类和蔬菜经过厨师们的精心调配，化身为诱人的美味馅料。南方的同事们与北方的同事们一同放下了地域的差异，共同投入到这项传统活动中。大家围坐一起，有的熟练地擀着面皮，有的细心地包着馅料，现场气氛既热烈又和谐。外教老师的参与，更为这次活动增添了国际化的色彩，让不同文化背景的员工都能在这个特别的日子里感受到家的温暖。欢声笑语中，每个人都在为同一个目标努力——那就是制作出美味的饺子，共同庆祝冬至的到来。

For the event, the table was adorned with seven carefully prepared fillings and three different colors of dough. Fresh meats and vegetables, skillfully blended by the chefs, transformed into delicious and enticing fillings. Colleagues from the south and north of China set aside their regional differences and wholeheartedly engaged in this traditional activity together. Everyone gathered around, with some expertly rolling out the dough while others carefully filled and wrapped the dumplings. The atmosphere was both lively and harmonious. The involvement of foreign teachers added an international flavor to the event, allowing employees from different cultural backgrounds to feel the warmth of home on this special day. Amid laughter and joy, everyone worked toward the same goal — to make delicious dumplings and celebrate the arrival of the Winter Solstice together.

随着热气腾腾的饺子出锅，每个人脸上都洋溢着满足与幸福的笑容。在冬至时节吃饺子，已然是我们的一种习俗，创校至今，万双每年都会在冬至这天开展冬至暖冬包饺子活动，在继承优秀传统习俗弘扬中国传统文化的同时，也让每天用热爱、勤奋和竭尽全力奋斗在"让孩子们站在未来中央”路上的老师们聚在一起过一个温馨的传统节曰，这不仅仅是一顿简单的饺子宴，更是一次心灵的交流和文化的交融，让传统文化在校园内得以传承的同时，也让教职工之间的情感更加紧密。

As the steaming dumplings were taken out of the pot, everyone’s face was filled with smiles of satisfaction and happiness. Eating dumplings during the Winter Solstice has become a custom for us. Since the establishment of the school, VBS has held the Warm Winter Dumpling Activity on this day every year. This event not only exhibits the excellent traditional customs and promotes Chinese culture but also brings together the teachers who all work so passionately, diligently, and wholeheartedly towards the goal of “allowing children to stand at the center of the future”to celebrate a warm traditional festival together. This is not merely a simple dumpling feast; it is also a heartfelt exchange and a blending of cultures, allowing traditional culture to be passed down in the campus while strengthening the bonds among faculty and staff.

The Winter Solstice is not only a significant solar term but also a festival that symbolizes reunion and warmth. Today, we gather together to participate in the teacher’s dumpling-making activity, which not only enhances our emotional connections but also allows us to experience the warmth of home and the joy of the holiday amidst our busy work schedules.

Making dumplings is a traditional custom of the Chinese nation, symbolizing reunion, happiness, and fulfillment. On such a meaningful day, we engage in making delicious food to experience the rich cultural heritage of China and enhance our love for our country. This year, our Spring Festival has also been included in the list of UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritage! These traditional festivals and the culture they embody are an enduring source of development for the Chinese nation.

The Winter Solstice is the time when the daytime is the shortest and the nighttime is the longest in the Northern Hemisphere. After this day, the days will gradually get longer and the nights shorter, marking a renewed anticipation for sunlight. May our tomorrows be even brighter and more beautiful!
