On September 19, 2022, Vanke Bilingual School held a flag-raising ceremony for the fourth week of the first semester of 2022-2023. This week's flag-raising ceremony is co-hosted by classes 7C and 7D. Class 7C is a sunny, enterprising class. Class 7D is a hard-working, united class.

升旗仪式由7D班的薛家祺和邹雨轩主持。7C班的李心茗、揣毅做了国旗下讲话。他们演讲的题目是《弘扬伟大抗战精神  同心共筑强大国防》。杨帆校长进行了时事热点分享。

The flag-raising ceremony was presided over by Xue Jiaqi and Zou Yuxuan of 7D . Li Xinming and Qiu Yi of 7C gave a speech. The topic of their speech was "Carrying Forward the Great Spirit of the Anti-Japanese War and Building a Strong National Defense Together." Principle Yang Fan shared current affairs.

亲爱的老师们、同学们：

大家早上好！今天我们演讲的题目是《弘扬伟大抗战精神，同心共筑强大国防》。九月的第三个周六，是我们的全民国防教育日，在这个特殊的日子里，我们将最清澈的爱奉献给我们的祖国。

Dear teachers and students,

Good morning！The topic of our speech today is "Carrying Forward the Great Spirit of the Anti-Japanese War and Building a Strong National Defense Together.". The third Saturday of September is our National Defense Education Day. On this special day, we dedicate our clearest love to our motherland.

“若无国防，则国难屡起，民将不得安其业。”回眸近代历史，列强一次次用坚船利炮轰开中国国门，给中华民族上了痛彻心扉的一课。电影《无问西东》里多次出现这样一幕：防空警报一响，正在上课的西南联大师生跌跌撞撞冲出简陋的教室，跑进校舍附近的山沟、树林躲避空袭。国防羸弱，偌大的中国竟然放不下一张安静的书桌。

“If there is no national defense, there will be many national disasters and the people will not be able to secure their careers." Looking back on modern history, the great powers have repeatedly opened the door of China with strong weapons, giving the Chinese nation a painful lesson. In the movie Forever Young, the scene appeared many times: when the air defense alarm sounded, the teachers and students of Southwest United University who were in class stumbled out of the simple classroom and ran into the ravines and woods near the school buildings to avoid air attacks. The national defense was so weak that even no quiet desk could be placed in China.

抗战时期，“跑警报”是师生们要学会的“第一课”。尖锐刺耳的防空警报、呼啸而至的敌军战机，无疑是最直观的国防教育。或许正是这刻骨铭心的一课，让那个年代的许多学子深深懂得国与家、国家与国防的关系。多年后，这些年轻学子中走出了包括“两弹一星”元勋郭永怀、朱光亚、邓稼先等在内的众多杰出人物。他们把自己的名字隐进青山，把国家的安宁举过头顶，用不懈的奋斗改变着中国落后挨打的面貌。

During the Anti-Japanese War, "run for shelter " was the "first lesson" for teachers and students. The sharp air defense alarm and the roaring enemy fighters were undoubtedly the most intuitive national defense education. Perhaps it was the unforgettable lesson that made many students of that era deeply understand the relationship between the state and the family, and between the state and the national defense. Many years later, many outstanding figures including Guo Yonghuai, Zhu Guangya and Deng Jiaxian emerged from these young students. They hid their names in the Green Mountains, raised the peace of the country above their heads, and changed the backwardness of China with unremitting efforts.

时间之河川流不息，每一代青少年都有自己的使命，都要在身处的时代谋划人生、创造历史。今天的我们，生长在一个相对和平安宁的环境，但各种安全威胁仍暗涛汹涌，国防安全仍是吾辈之未来重任。

这个周六和周日，我们共同经历了两个对国家和我们每个人都很重要的值得纪念的日子：北京时间2022年9月17日17时47分，经过约5小时的出舱活动，神舟十四号航天员陈冬、刘洋、蔡旭哲密切协同，完成出舱活动期间全部既定任务，航天员陈冬、航天员蔡旭哲已安全返回问天实验舱，出舱活动取得圆满成功。

Good morning. This Saturday and Sunday, we shared two memorable days that matter to the country and each of us: At 17:47 on September 17, 2022, Beijing time, after about 5 hours of outboard activities, Shenzhou 14 astronauts Chen Dong, Liu Yang, and Cai Xuzhe worked closely together to complete all the scheduled tasks during the outboard activities. Astronaut Chen Dong, Astronaut Cai Xuzhe have returned to the Wentian experimental module safely, and the outboard activity has been a complete success.

9月18日是“九一八”事变的纪念日。1931年9月18日夜，日本在中国东北蓄意制造并发动的一场侵华战争，是日本帝国主义全面侵华的开端。自此，中华民族开启了长达14年的浴血奋战。大半个中国被践踏，3500多万同胞伤亡。

September 18 is the anniversary of the "September 18th Incident".
