万双网讯  2021年12月13日，2021-2022第一学期第十六周升旗仪式在学校操场举行。本周升旗仪式由4E班和4I班承担。4E班是个求知好学、充满热情的班集体；4I班是个团结互助乐观向上的班集体。升旗仪式由4I班张珂菁和4E班孔令豪主持，4E班杨雨秋和4I班叶一帆做了演讲。他们演讲的题目是《以国之名悼念，以史之名缅怀》。4E班王煊喆和4I班杨馨儿进行了节水宣讲。

VBS News Net: On December 13，the 16th-week flag-raising assembly was held on school playground, undertaken by 4E and 4I. 4E is an enthusiastic and knowledgeable group. 4I is an optimistic group that unites and helps each other. Zhang Kejing from 4I and Kong Linghao from 4E co-hosted the assembly. Yang Yuqiu from 4E and Ye Yifan from 4I gave a speech. 1937年12月13日，是中华民族近代史上最沉重的一页。84年前的今天，侵华日军攻占南京，在此后的一个多月，血腥屠杀30余万中国人，其滔天罪行，罄竹难书。

December 13, 1937, was the heaviest day in the modern history of the Chinese nation. 84 years ago, the Japanese invaders captured Nanjing. They massacred more than 300,000 Chinese people in the following month. Their crimes were too numerous to record.

中国政府将每年的12月13日设立为南京大屠杀死难者国家公祭日，祭奠南京大屠杀30万遇难同胞。我们勿忘国耻、铭记历史。吾辈自强的民族精神代代相传！

The Chinese government established December 13th as the National Memorial Day for the Nanjing Massacre. It is the sacrifice for the 300,000 victims. Let us not forget the shame in the history. We should strive to be stronger for generations.

今天，2021年12月13日，是第八个南京大屠杀死难者国家公祭日。今天，站在历史的凭栏处，以肃穆的仪式追忆逝者、缅怀英灵。悼以国之名，祭以民族之大义。

Today is the eighth National Memorial Day for the victims of the Nanjing Massacre. We cherish them with the solemn ceremony here. To mourn in the name of the country and sacrifice to the justice of the nation.

本周升旗仪式上，4E班王煊喆和4I班杨馨儿进行了节水宣讲，号召同学们节约用水，积极打造“零废弃”校园。

Wang Xuanzhe from 4E and Yang Xiner from 4I gave a speech on saving water at the flag-raising assembly. They called on schoolmates to save water and actively build a "zero waste" campus.

万科双语学校一直践行“零废弃”理念，积极打造“零废弃”校园，作为万双学子，我们应该共同践行节约理念，在PBL零废弃项目研究中关注时事动态，用自己的行动作出贡献。

Our school has been practicing the concept of“zero waste”and actively building a “zero waste” campus. As students here, we are willing to practice the concept together and make contributions with our own actions.

12月8日，深圳市水务局举办媒体通气会，记者从会上了解到，深圳市正多措并举解决用水缺口问题，并已于8日起精准降低我市用水供水压力，以减少漏损。

On the 8th of December, the Shenzhen Water Affairs Bureau held a media conference. The reporter learned from the meeting that Shenzhen has been taking multiple measures to solve the water gap problem, and has accurately reduced the pressure on the city’s water  supply from the 8th of December.

全民节约用水刻不容缓，在学校我们可以节约用水，在家里重复利用水资源，为城市减负，从我做起。

在大湾区科学论坛——纳米科学分论坛上，中国工程院院士王迎军分享了纳米技术与再生医学结合的最新成果。

At the nanoscience forum, Wang Yingjun, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, shared the latest achievements in the combination of nanotechnology and regenerative medicine.

中国工程院院士钟南山在生命科学分论坛中发表致辞。他强调中国疫苗接种要达到理论上群体免疫，接种率要达到全体人口的83%。目前我国已经有11.5亿人完成了全程接种，占了81.9%，为群体免疫奠定了很好的基础。

Zhong Nanshan, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, delivered a speech on life sciences. He pointed out that the vaccination rate in China should reach 83% of the whole population. At present, 1.15 billion people in China have completed the whole vaccination process, accounting for 81.9%, which has laid a good foundation for mass immunization.
