万双网讯  2026年10月19日，秋日暖阳洒满校园，万科双语学校迎来2026—2027学年第一学期第8周升旗仪式暨奥林匹克周启动仪式。本周升旗仪式由3G班承办，李国彰（Eric）、林歆懿（Cindy）担任主持人，8E班谭凯琳（Kaylin）、8I班齐梓妍（Apple）、3G班杨博霖（Rric）担任升旗手。护旗方阵由3G班全体同学组成，他们以“团结友爱、勤奋好学、积极向上”为中队目标，步伐整齐、精神饱满地护送五星红旗入场。国歌奏响，全体师生肃立注目，少先队员行队礼，升旗仪式在庄严肃穆的氛围中圆满完成。

On October 19th, 2026, under the warm autumn sunshine, Vanke Bilingual School (VBS) held its Week 8 Flag-Raising Ceremony and Olympic Week Launch Ceremony for the first semester of the 2026–2027 academic year. The ceremony was organized by Class 3G and hosted by Eric Li and Cindy Lin. Kaylin Tan from Class 8E, Apple Qi from Class 8I, and Eric Yang from Class 3G served as flag raisers. The flag escort team, consisting of the rest of the students from Class 3G, marched in neat formation and in high spirits, carrying the national flag into the ceremony. Guided by their class motto, "Unity and Friendship, Diligence in Learning, and a Positive Attitude", they demonstrated remarkable enthusiasm and teamwork. As the national anthem played, teachers and students stood respectfully at attention, while Young Pioneers gave their salutes. The ceremony concluded in a solemn and dignified atmosphere.

在国旗下讲话环节，3G班高锦琰（Gary）、李彝琛（Yichen）围绕“传承长征精神，争做拼搏少年”发表主题演讲。今年恰逢红军长征胜利90周年。两位同学以这一重要历史节点为引，带领大家重温红军将士翻越雪山、穿越草地、完成二万五千里长征的壮阔史诗，并号召大家以长征精神砥砺当下：遇到阻碍时不轻言放弃，认定方向后笃定前行、坚持到底，在团队协作中彼此信任、相互扶持，共同跨越每一道难关。

During the speech session under the national flag, Gary Gao and Yichen Li from Class 3G delivered a speech entitled "Carrying Forward the Spirit of the Long March and Striving to Be Determined Young Achievers". This year marks the 90th anniversary of the victory of the Red Army's Long March. Taking this significant historical milestone as their starting point, the two students revisited the remarkable journey of the Red Army soldiers, who crossed snow-covered mountains and vast grasslands to complete the 25,000 kilometer Long March. They encouraged their fellow students to carry forward the spirit of the Long March in their everyday lives: never giving up in the face of difficulties, remaining committed to their goals, persevering with determination, and supporting one another to overcome challenges together.

随后，他们将话题引向即将到来的校运动会，号召大家把赛场视作自己的“新长征路”。两位同学指出，比赛较量的不只是速度，更是恒心；跌倒后重新出发，交接棒时托付信任，领先时不骄傲，落后时不气馁——这些都是拼搏精神的具体写照。他们倡议新时代少年将长征精神融入日常：树立远大志向，勤学苦练、磨炼意志、团结同伴，勇敢迎接成长路上的每一次考验。愿每一位同学都能接过先辈手中的精神火炬，以昂扬的姿态、坚定的步伐，在属于自己的赛道上奋力奔跑，走好这一代人的长征路。

They then turned their attention to the upcoming school sports meeting, encouraging everyone to regard the sports field as their own "new Long March". They emphasized that athletic competition is not merely a test of speed, but also of perseverance. Getting back up after a fall, placing trust in teammates during a relay race, remaining humble in victory, and refusing to lose heart in defeat are all expressions of the spirit of determination. They called on young people of the new era to integrate the spirit of the Long March into their daily lives by setting ambitious goals, studying and training diligently, strengthening their willpower, supporting their peers, and bravely embracing every challenge along their journeys of growth. They expressed the hope that every student would carry forward the spiritual legacy of previous generations, move ahead with confidence and determination, and run wholeheartedly on the track, continuing the Long March of their generation.

接下来，VBS奥林匹克周暨第九届田径运动会启动仪式正式开始。本届运动会以“迎APEC峰会，展万双少年风采”为主题，将APEC“开放、创新、合作”的理念与体育竞技中挑战自我、突破极限的追求相融合，为校园注入开放包容、奋勇争先的运动气息。火炬传递环节率先展开，各年级火炬手依次就位。他们虽年级不同，却有着同样的运动热情与突破勇气。

The launch ceremony for the 9th VBS Olympic Week then officially began. Under the theme of "Welcoming the APEC Summit and Showcasing the Spirit of VBS Students", this year's event brings together APEC's values of openness, innovation, and cooperation with the sporting pursuit of challenging oneself and pushing beyond one's limits, creating an atmosphere of inclusiveness, determination, and athletic excellence across the campus. The ceremony opened with the torch relay, as torchbearers from different grades took their positions. Although they came from different age groups, they shared the same passion for sports and the courage to push their boundaries.

1G班李诗远涉猎攀岩、滑雪、滑板等多项运动，敢于挑战、永不言弃；2C班张芸昕勇闯高难度探险赛道，并在舞蹈、短跑中屡获佳绩；3C班黄小米在拉丁舞赛事中夺得精英组冠军，以坚持诠释坚韧自信；4C班王悠扬在田径、游泳、足球等项目中表现突出；5D班车谨初在接力、足球、跳绳、短跑项目表现亮眼；6F班傅竑勋在长短跑、跳绳、篮球赛场屡创佳绩；7I班管礼娴是多项田径校纪录保持者、游泳国家二级运动员；8G班梁佳睿在国际象棋赛场发挥出色，跻身广东女子百强；9E班成鑫深耕重剑项目，在U14、U16个人与团体赛事中多次获奖。

Li Shiyuan from Class 1G actively participates in rock climbing, skiing, skateboarding, and other sports, demonstrating a willingness to embrace challenges and never give up. Zhang Yunxin from Class 2C has taken on demanding adventure courses and achieved excellent results in dance and sprinting competitions. Huang Xiaomi from Class 3C won the championship in an elite category of a Latin dance competition, demonstrating resilience and confidence through perseverance. Wang Youyang from Class 4C has excelled in athletics, swimming, and football. Che Jinchu from Class 5D has delivered impressive performances in relay races, football, skipping, and sprinting. Fu Hongxun from Class 6F has achieved outstanding results in both long- and short-distance running, skipping, and basketball. Guan Lixian from Class 7I holds several school athletics records and is a National Second-level Athlete in swimming. Liang Jiarui from Class 8G has distinguished herself in chess competitions, ranking among the top 100 female chess players in Guangdong Province. Cheng Xin from Class 9E has demonstrated exceptional dedication to épée fencing, winning multiple awards in individual and team events in the U14 and U16 categories.

火炬在手中依次交接，也将希望、勇气与拼搏信念传递给全场师生。最后，火炬传递至杨帆校长手中，她与九位火炬手共同点燃圣火。跃动的火焰升腾而起，象征着万双学子追求卓越、永不停歇的坚定脚步，也点燃了属于这个秋天的热血与梦想。

As the torch passed from one bearer to the next, it carried a message of hope, courage, and perseverance to everyone present. Finally, the torch was passed to Principal Yang Fan, who joined the nine torchbearers in lighting the ceremonial flame. As the flame rose and flickered, it symbolized the unwavering determination of VBS students to pursue excellence and keep moving forward, igniting the passion and dreams of autumn.

随后，杨帆校长为本届运动会致辞。杨校首先代表学校向运动会的顺利启幕致以热烈的祝贺。她谈到，奥林匹克精神从来不只是速度与力量的比拼，“更快、更高、更强——更团结”的背后是一种催人奋进的成长力量，教会我们直面挑战、永不言弃，也教会我们彼此成就、携手同行。体育在锤炼意志、涵养品格、强健体魄方面发挥着不可替代的作用，赛场正是万双少年磨砺自我、绽放光彩的最好课堂。杨校勉励同学们：站上赛场，胜负并非唯一的答案；比名次更珍贵的，是全力以赴后问心无愧的坚持，是逆境中迎难而上的勇气，是团队里彼此托举的温暖。她向全体师生发出倡议：尊重规则、善待对手，共同营造一场安全有序、团结友爱、热血温暖的校园盛会。最后，杨校祝愿同学们赛出风采、赛出水平、收获成长，让青春在赛场上飞扬。

Principal Yang Fan then delivered an address to mark the opening of the Athletics Meet. On behalf of the school, she extended her warm congratulations on the successful launch of the event. She emphasized that the Olympic spirit goes far beyond a competition of speed and strength. The motto "Faster, Higher, Stronger – Together" embodies the powerful spirit of personal growth, inspiring us to face challenges with courage, persevere through difficulties, and support one another in achieving shared success. She highlighted the irreplaceable role of sports in building resilience, developing character, and strengthening physical fitness, describing the sports field as an invaluable classroom where VBS students can challenge themselves and shine. Principal Yang reminded students that winning and losing are not the only measures of success. More valuable than rankings are the determination to give one's best, the courage to overcome adversity, and the support and encouragement shared among teammates. She called on all teachers and students to respect the rules, treat opponents with kindness, and work together to create a safe, orderly, inclusive, and inspiring sporting celebration. Finally, she wished every student the opportunity to demonstrate their abilities, achieve personal growth, and let their youthful energy shine on the sports field.

Amid enthusiastic applause from teachers and students, the Week 8 Flag-Raising Ceremony and Olympic Week Launch Ceremony at Vanke Bilingual School came to a successful conclusion. From reflecting on the spirit of the Long March to lighting the ceremonial flame, students deepened their understanding of responsibility under the national flag and strengthened their determination with the spirit of perseverance. 大家早上好！迎着朝阳，五星红旗高高飘扬。今天我们国旗下讲话的主题是：《传承长征精神，争做拼搏少年》。

This year, we celebrate the 90th anniversary of the victory of the Red Army’s Long March. Ninety years ago, Red Army soldiers crossed snowy mountains and grasslands. They braved difficulties and stayed united. They finished the 25,000-kilometer Long March. We have learned that the Long March spirit means bearing hardship, keeping on trying, and working together. The wars are over, but the Long March spirit always encourages us.

今年，我们迎来红军长征胜利 90 周年。九十年前，红军战士翻雪山、过草地，不怕困难，团结一心，走完二万五千里长征。我们读懂，长征精神，就是不怕吃苦、坚持到底、团结奋斗的精神。硝烟虽然早已散去，但长征精神一直鼓舞着我们。

Soon we will have our school sports meeting. The sports field is our "new Long March road". We run, do long jumps and take part in relay races. We compete not only for speed, but also for perseverance. We are like the soldiers on the Long March. If we fall down, we stand up again bravely. In relay races, we work together and help each other. We are not complacent when we win. We do not give up when we lose. We keep trying hard. This is the sporting spirit.
