万双网讯  又是一年清明至,春风化雨,思忆绵长。清明,不仅是一个节气、一个节日,更是一份文化的传承、一种精神的回望。万科双语学校以此为契机,精心策划并组织开展了多元化的PBL实践活动,引导全校学生在实践中感悟传统之美,在体验中传承民族之魂。


Another Qingming Festival has arrived with spring breezes and drizzling rains, evoking long-lasting memories. Qingming is not merely a solar term or a festival, it is a cultural heritage and a spiritual reflection. Seizing this opportunity, Vanke Bilingual School carefully designed and organized diverse PBL practice activities, guiding students of all grades to appreciate the beauty of this traditional time through hands-on experiences that carry forward our national spirit.


一年级的孩子们以“寻春·知节,绘清明”为主题,用画笔记录与家人共度的清明时光。扫墓、踏青、放风筝、插柳、吃青团、荡秋千……一幅幅稚嫩的画作中,既有对传统习俗的认知,也饱含对节日的美好期待。


First graders, under the theme “Seeking Spring, Knowing the Season, and Painting Qingming,” used their brushes to record the Qingming Festival time spent with their families. Tomb sweeping, spring outings, kite flying, willow planting, eating Qingtuan, swinging on swings… Their innocent drawings not only showed their understanding of traditional customs but also their joyful expectations for the festival.

二年级开展“清明祭英烈 足迹印丰碑”PBL实践,学生走出家门祭奠革命先烈,聆听英雄故事,用照片与文字记录感悟,在行走中传承红色基因。


Second graders carried out the PBL practice of “Qingming Tribute to Heroes in the Footprints on the Monument.” They stepped out of their homes to honor the revolutionary martyrs, listen to heroic stories, and record their reflections with photos and words, passing on the red political genes through their journeys.

三年级学生完成了以“清明雨·纸上春”为主题的清明实践作业。孩子们通过“制作青团”品味寒食文化,在“寻找大自然的色彩”任务中创作别致书签,并用英语记录颜色,在实践中感受春天的生机与传统节日的温度。


Third graders completed their Qingming practice assignment themed “Qingming Rain through Spring on Paper.” They experienced cold-food culture by “making Qingtuan,” created unique bookmarks in the task “Finding Nature’s Colors,” and recorded the colors in English, feeling the vitality of spring and the warmth of the traditional festival.

Fourth graders finished their practice assignment themed “Qingming Spring Outing.” They wrote short poems to capture the beauty of spring, explored the concept of stability in the cross-disciplinary task “Triangles in a Kite,” and deepened their understanding and appreciation of Chinese culture.

五年级则以“家风传承·家国在心”为主线,鼓励学生化身"家族小记者"采访长辈,记录代代相传的家训家风。此外,学校还精心设计了多条踏青路线供学生选择:致敬城市英雄的红色基因之旅、探寻岭南古韵的文化之旅,以及亲近自然的生态探索之旅,引导学生在春光中感悟生命的传承与成长。


Fifth graders, guided by the main theme of “Family Tradition Transmission to Keep Family and Country in Heart,” students were encouraged to become “family reporters” interviewing their elders to record the family sayings and traditions passed down through generations. Additionally, the school carefully designed several spring outing routes for students to choose from: a red-culture journey honoring city heroes, a cultural journey exploring Lingnan’s ancient charm, and an ecological discovery journey about getting close to nature – all of them guiding students to appreciate the continuity of life and growth in the spring light.

六年级的同学们以“慎终追远,不负春光”为主题制作清明手帐,通过采访家中长辈,了解家族迁移史、先辈故事和老物件背后的记忆,在对话中追寻生命的根源。同时,同学们还亲手制作清明蛋或青团,用笔尖摘抄清明诗句,在动手实践中感受传统节日的仪式感。


Sixth graders made Qingming Festival journals under the theme of “Reverently Remembering the Past and Living Up to the Spring.” They interviewed their elders to learn about their family’s migration history, stories of their ancestors, and the memories behind antique objects, tracing the roots of life through conversations. At the same time, they made Qingming eggs and Qingtuan by hand and copied Qingming poems with their pens, experiencing the ritualistic sense of the traditional festival through hands-on activities.

七年级的同学们以“怀思清明日,立志少年时”为主题,在英语学科中用英文介绍清明习俗,以国际语言传递中华传统文化的独特魅力;在语文学科中,同学们结合第二单元课文内容,以《清明追思,致敬最可爱的人》或《以清明之名,致我深爱的土地》为题,撰写抒情短文,将对先烈的敬意、对土地的热爱诉诸笔端,展现新时代少年的家国情怀与使命担当。


Seventh graders, with the theme of “Remembering the Departed on Qingming and Finding Aspiration in Youth,” introduced Qingming customs in English in their English class, using an international language to convey the unique charm of traditional Chinese culture. In their Chinese class, drawing on texts from the second unit, they wrote lyrical essays titled “Qingming Remembrance: A Tribute to the Loveliest People” or “In the Name of Qingming, To the Land I Deeply Love,” that expressed their respect for the martyrs and showed love for the land, showcasing the sense of family, country, and the mission of the new generation.

Eighth graders conducted the “Seeking Traces and Passing on of Hearts” Qingming practice assignment. They told traditional stories through English comics, used brushes and cameras to record Qingming landscapes and the changing of the times, and expressed their reflections through various other creations, honoring the inheritance of festival culture.

Vanke Bilingual School has always adhered to the philosophy of “holistic education,” deeply integrating traditional culture into subject teaching and practical activities. The school uses PBL projects as a vehicle to allow students to experience authentic and rigorous learning. The Qingming-themed practice activities spanning along eight grades are a vivid tapestry of this philosophy. First graders depicting spring with brushes, third graders tasting the cold-food culture of green rice balls, fourth graders exploring triangle stability with kites, fifth graders tracing family traditions to carry forward family and patriotic sentiments, seventh graders expressing cultural confidence through bilingual communication, and eighth graders telling traditional stories with English comics… Each project is not a superficial “hands-on activity” but a “deep learning” rooted in real contexts. Through tomb sweeping and spring outings, students feel the continuity of life; through the interviewing of elders, they touch family memories; through cross-disciplinary tasks, they achieve knowledge integration and innovative in its application.


这个清明节,同学们在画笔下播种文化种子,在实践中感悟先辈智慧,在踏青中体悟生命传承,真正做到了“祭祖思亲不忘本,踏青赏春不负时”。而这场跨越八个年级的成果展示,不仅印证了万科双语学校“真实而严谨的学习”这一教育理念的落地生根,更彰显出——当传统文化遇见PBL,当学科边界被打破,学生便不再是被动的接受者,而是自己成长旅程的探索者与创造者。这些扎根于实践的素养与能力,将成为他们走向未来、回应时代的坚实基石。


This Qingming Festival, students sowed cultural seeds, felt the wisdom of their ancestors, and experienced the continuity of life during their spring outings – truly “honoring ancestors and remembering our roots without forgetting, to enjoy spring outings and the season without wasting time.” This exhibition of outcomes across eight grades not only confirms the deep-rooted implementation of Vanke Bilingual School’s educational philosophy of “authentic and rigorous learning,” but also demonstrates that when traditional culture meets PBL and subject boundaries are broken, students are no longer passive recipients but become explorers and creators. These competencies and abilities that are grounded in practice will become a solid foundation for them as they move towards the future and respond to the times.
