To hone students’ oratory skills, elevate their bilingual proficiency, and empower them to take center stage, Vanke Bilingual School hosted its 61th E-Talk event in the school theater on January 20, 2026. The event attracted a live audience of over a hundred teachers and students and was livestreamed to the entire school community.

Under the theme "Animal World," featured eight students from grades one to three who served as "Animal Science Ambassadors," sharing their knowledge and personal insights about animals in English. The activity not only deepened the students' understanding of the animal kingdom and enhanced their English expression and logical thinking skills, but also subtly conveyed the ecological values of cherishing life and respecting nature.  Shawn Wang from Class 3F served as the host of the event, while teachers Chris and William acted as judges, providing insightful and professional feedback on the students' outstanding performances.

Dragon Long from Class 3F delivered a wonderful speech titled My Favorite Animal, focusing on the theme "Horses: Our Close Friends". Using his first encounter with a brown horse as the main story, he described the clear sound of hooves, the smooth mane, and the exhilarating feeling of riding with the wind. In his speech, Dragon not only shared how horseback riding improves both physical fitness and mental strength, but also gently explained the deeper lesson he learned from spending time with horses — that true courage includes gentleness, and that respect is what builds trust between humans and animals. The judges praised his beautiful and poetic language, and noted that all the photos in his presentation came from his own riding experiences. This personal touch made his speech especially moving.

Starting from the origins of the dragon's image, Wesley explained how ancient people combined features from different creatures to create this legendary being, and also explored how dinosaur fossils might have inspired the legends of dragons. The judges spoke highly of his performance, praising his confident stage presence, engaging delivery, well-prepared and clearly structured content, as well as his broad knowledge and strong overall communication skills.
