万双网讯  2025年12月8日，万科双语学校举行2025-2026学年第一学期第15周升旗仪式。本周升旗仪式由6Y班负责。6Y班是一个团结友爱、充满活力的集体。同学们乐观开朗、严于律己、互帮互助、自信阳光。仪式由曾思齐（Kiki）和黄语童（Annebella）两位同学主持，护旗任务由6Y班全体同学共同承担，他们圆满完成了庄严的升旗环节。

On December 8, 2025, Vanke Bilingual School held its 15th flag-raising ceremony for the 2025-2026 fall semester. This week’s ceremony was organized by Class 6Y—a united, caring, and energetic group of students who are optimistic, self-disciplined, supportive, confident, and full of positive energy. The event was hosted by Zeng Siqi (Kiki) and Huang Yutong (Annebella), while the rest of the class proudly served as the honor guard, carrying out the solemn flag-raising procedure.

在国旗下讲话环节，白雅茜（Kate）和罗政（Ryan）两位同学以《以国之名悼念，以史之名缅怀》为题进行了演讲。他们在演讲中谈到，12月13日国家公祭日将至，回顾87年前南京大屠杀的惨痛历史，30万同胞不幸遇难，这段黑暗岁月是中华民族深深的伤痛。面对暴行，无数英雄儿女与国际友人展现出勇气与人道精神。他们强调，公祭既为缅怀逝者，也为从历史中汲取奋进之力——唯有国家强大、民族振兴，方能守护和平。最后，他们呼吁同学们珍惜当下、勤奋学习、锻炼身心、继承精神，勇担时代使命，为民族复兴贡献力量。

During the speech under the national flag, Bai Yaxi (Kate) and Luo Zheng (Ryan) delivered an address titled “Cherish Peace in Memory of the Martyrs” They spoke about the approaching National Memorial Day on December 13th, reflecting on the tragic history of the Nanjing Massacre 87 years ago, during which 300,000 compatriots lost their lives—a profound and enduring wound for the Chinese nation. In the face of such atrocities, countless heroes and international friends demonstrated remarkable courage and humanitarian spirit. They emphasized that public commemoration of this event serves both to honor the victims and to draw strength from its history: that only a strong nation can safeguard lasting peace. In closing, they encouraged fellow students to cherish the present, study diligently, strengthen both body and mind, carry forward a resilient spirit, and actively contribute to national renewal.

接下来，胡雅琼老师宣读了2025年深圳市“龙华杯”青少年足球比赛的获奖情况。本次比赛，我校共组织5支队伍、74名队员参赛，涵盖了初中男子组、初中女子组、小学男子甲组、小学女子甲组和小学男子乙组。随后，杨帆校长和Joao老师为获得殿军的小学女子甲组获奖同学颁发了奖牌。

Following the speech, teacher Hu Yaqiong announced VBS’s achievements in the 2025 Shenzhen "Longhua Cup" Youth Football Tournament. The school fielded five teams with a total of 74 players across all divisions,  including Middle School Boys, Middle School Girls, Primary School Boys Division A, Primary School Girls Division A, and Primary School Boys Division B. Principal Yang Fan and teacher Joao then presented medals to the Primary School Girls Division A team, which placed fourth in the competition.

仪式最后，杨帆校长发表了讲话。她首先向在本次“龙华杯”比赛中获奖的运动员们表示热烈祝贺，并指出，我校所有足球队均由对足球怀有浓厚兴趣的同学自发组成，由本校教师担任教练，队员们利用课余时间坚持训练，此次取得优异成绩实属不易。她强调，每一场比赛，学校都面向全体师生广泛宣传，并始终秉持公平公正的原则。名次不是最重要的，学校最为珍视的是同学们在训练和比赛中展现出的坚毅和执着。同时，她也强调老师要做的不仅是技术指导，更要做思想的引路人，要在赛前引导方向、赛后复盘反思，助力同学们更好地成长。最后，杨校勉励同学们，愿同学们在自己热爱与擅长的领域里持续探索、不断精进，保持对体育锻炼和运动的热爱，在未来创造更多精彩。

In her concluding remarks, Principal Yang Fan first extended warm congratulations to all of the athletes who excelled in the "Longhua Cup." She noted that the football teams at VBS were formed voluntarily by students who are passionate about the sport and trained diligently after school—making their achievements especially commendable. She emphasized that the school promotes more matches throughout the community and will consistently uphold fairness and integrity. While rankings matter, what the school values most is the perseverance and dedication students show in training and competition. Teachers, she added, should not only instruct skills but also guide student’s mindsets—encouraging before games and reflecting afterwards to support students’ growth. Principal Yang encouraged all students to keep exploring and improving in areas they love and excel in, to maintain their passion for sports and exercise, to create even more wonderful achievements in the future.

I'm Bai Yaxi, and this is Luo Zheng. The topic of our speech is ‘Cherish Peace in Memory of the Martyrs”.

我是罗政,她是白雅茜。今天我们演讲的主题是--以国之名悼念，以史之名缅怀。

Today, standing under the solemn national flag, our hearts are heavy. December 13th — the National Memorial Day for the Nanjing Massacre Victims is coming soon. Eighty-seven years ago, the invading Japanese army broke into Nanjing brutally. A terrible disaster covered this ancient and beautiful city in an instant.

今天，站在庄严的国旗下，我们心情格外沉重，因为 12 月 13 日——南京大屠杀死难者国家公祭日即将来临。87 年前，侵华日军野蛮闯入南京，一场惨绝人寰的灾难瞬间笼罩这座古老而美丽的城市。

In just six weeks, 300,000 innocent compatriots were killed. Those were dark days. Nanjing became hell on earth. Japanese invaders used cruel methods like shooting, chopping with knives, burning and burying alive to slaughter civilians and disarmed soldiers. It was the darkest and most painful chapter in human history. It is also a deep wound in the Chinese nation’s heart.

短短六周，30 万无辜同胞惨遭杀害。那是怎样一段黑暗的日子啊，南京城沦为了人间地狱。日本侵略者用枪杀、刀砍、焚烧、活埋等残忍手段，对平民和放下武器的士兵大肆屠戮。这是人类历史上最黑暗、最惨痛的篇章，是我们中华民族刻骨铭心的伤痛。

But in the face of such cruelty, many heroes stood up. Brave soldiers fought fiercely against the enemy. Even when seriously injured, they never gave up — all for the country’s liberation. Kind civilians refused to surrender even under bayonets, showing the Chinese nation’s integrity. International friends also risked their safety to help compatriots. Their humanitarian spirit was like warm lights, brightening Nanjing in the darkness.

但面对暴行，无数英雄儿女挺身而出。英勇的战士们奋勇杀敌，即便身负重伤也毫不退缩，只为国家和民族的解放；善良的平民们在刺刀下宁死不屈，用生命诠释了中华民族的骨气；还有那些不顾安危、救助同胞的国际友人，他们的人道主义精神如温暖光芒，照亮了黑暗中的南京城。

We hold this national memorial to remember history and mourn the dead. It’s not only sadness for the victims, but also a way to gain strength from suffering and help the spirits pass on. History is the best textbook and a wake-up call. It always warns us: Weak nations are bullied. Only when the country is strong and the nation prospers can we avoid such tragedies.

我们举行国家公祭，就是要铭记这段历史，缅怀逝去的生命。这不仅是对死难者的哀思，更是要从苦难中汲取力量，让他们的精神永远传承。历史是最好的教科书，也是清醒剂，它时刻警示我们：落后就要挨打，只有国家强大、民族振兴，才能避免悲剧重演。

VBS students, we live in a peaceful age, enjoying happiness bought with our ancestors’ blood. We must cherish peace, study hard, exercise well and cultivate good virtues. Let’s learn from history, take on our times’ responsibilities, and strive for the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation!
