万双网讯  2025年9月28日，万科双语学校2025-2026学年第一学期第五周升旗仪式在学校操场举行。本周升旗仪式由5G班承担。5G班是一个乐观向上、坚毅笃行的班集体。升旗仪式由5G班杨连纵同学和吴芮颍同学主持。护旗方阵由5G班全体同学组成。  

On September 28th, 2025, the 5th Week Flag-Raising Ceremony of the First Semester of the 2025-2026 Academic Year of Vanke Bilingual School (VBS) was held on the school playground. This week’s ceremony was undertaken by Class 5G, an optimistic and determined class. The ceremony was hosted by Yang Lianzong (Eric) and Wu Ruiying (Kitty) from Class 5G, and the flag guard phalanx was composed of all students of Class 5G.

佟可心、柴淑语、曾钰芸和张嘉艺同学作了国旗下讲话，题目为《红旗飘扬，共庆华诞》。他们在演讲中与同学们一起回顾了1949年新中国的成立以及76年来祖国在经济、科技等领域的发展成就，指出学生当下的努力对祖国未来的重要意义，并告诉大家，课堂学习与日常小事都是爱国的表现。演讲还号召万双学子从身边事做起，以青春奋斗助力祖国发展，不负时代与不负韶华。

Tong Kexin (Sophia), Chai Shuyu (Yolanda), Zeng Yuyun (Hannah) and Zhang Jiayi (Lisa) delivered a speech under the national flag titled The Red Flag Flutters, Celebrating the National Day Together. In their speech, they reviewed with the students about the founding of New China in 1949 and of the motherland’s development achievements in economy, science and technology over the past 76 years, pointing out the significance of students’ current efforts for the motherland’s future, and telling everyone that classroom learning and every little daily thing are all manifestations of patriotism. The speech also called on VBS students to start with small things around them, contributing to the motherland’s development with youthful efforts, and living up to the times of their youth.

本次的“书记话时事”以“从太空到深山：感受祖国的硬核实力”为主题，第一书记董爱霞老师向全校师生分享了中国在航天与基建领域取得的两项重大进展。“从太空出舱到深山架桥，每一项成就背后，都是无数建设者与科研人员刻苦钻研、团结协作的成果，”她在讲话中总结道，“它们是国家科技自立自强的生动体现。”同时，她鼓励同学们将这份“中国骄傲”转化为成长动力，未来以自身所学与奋斗，为国家发展贡献青春力量。

The “Secretary Talks About Current Affairs” session of this ceremony took the theme “From Space to Deep within Mountains: Experiencing the Motherland’s Strong Hard Power”. Teacher Dong Aixia shared with all teachers and students two major advancements made by China in the fields of aerospace and infrastructure construction. “From extravehicular activities in space to building bridges deep inside mountains, behind every achievement are the fruits of labor of countless builders and researchers’ diligent study and solidarity,” she summarized in her speech. “They are vivid manifestations of the country’s self-reliance in science and technology.” At the same time, she encouraged students to turn this “Chinese pride” into motivation for growth, and contribute their strength and knowledge to national development efforts in the future.

仪式最后，胡雅琼老师宣读了第2-4周获得“金海豚”荣誉的班级。校长助理林红英老师、督导与发展中心主任周金凤老师、团支部书记陈佳敏老师为获奖班级颁奖。

At the end of the ceremony, Teacher Hu Yaqiong announced the classes that won the “Golden Dolphin” honor from Week 2 to Week 4. Teacher Lin Hongying (Assistant Principal), Teacher Zhou Jinfeng (Director of the Supervision and Development Center) and Teacher Chen Jiamin (Secretary of the Youth League Branch) presented the awards to the winning classes.

Dear teachers and students,

尊敬的老师们，亲爱的同学们：

Good morning! On this bright and sunny morning, we gather under the national flag. The Five-Star Red Flag is fluttering in the gentle breeze, telling us stories of China’s grand and great history.

大家好！在这阳光明媚的早晨，我们齐聚在国旗下，鲜艳的五星红旗在微风中飘扬，诉说着一段段波澜壮阔的历史。

Seventy-six years ago, on October 1st, 1949, Chairman Mao Zedong solemnly announced to the whole world from the Tian’anmen Rostrum：“The Central People’s Government of the People’s Republic of China is founded today!” At that moment, the whole country was full of joy. From that moment on, the Chinese people stood up and started a new age of our own.

76 年前，1949 年的 10 月 1 日，毛泽东主席在天安门城楼上向全世界庄严宣告：“中华人民共和国中央人民政府，今天 —— 成立了！” 那一刻，举国欢腾，那一刻，中国人民从此站了起来，开启了属于我们的新纪元。

Over the past 76 years, our great motherland has changed a lot and taken on a new look. The country has made one Five-Year Plan after another. With the reform and opening-up policy to develop the economy, we have turned our motherland into a strong economic country around the world.

76 年来，我们伟大的祖国旧貌换新颜。国家制定了一个又一个五年规划，改革开放发展经济，我们把祖国发展成为了世界经济强国。

Previously small coastal fishing villages have now grown into well-known economic cities. Inland cities in the west are also developing well with the call of the new“Western Development Strategy”.

曾经的沿海小渔村已发展成国际知名的经济发达城市，西部内地城市也在 “西部大开发” 的号角声中蓬勃发展。

We started from having nothing, and now we can make cars and airplanes. From the time when scientists used abacuses to develop our nuclear defense, to now having our own supercomputers, fast 5G networks, and being proficient in scientific fields such as quantum technology and life sciences... National Day helps us remember history, keep our original goal in mind, and encourages us to work hard for realizing the Chinese Dream of the great renewal of the Chinese nation.

我们从开始的一穷二白，到可以造汽车、造飞机；从科学家们用算盘打出核盾牌，到现在有了自己的超级计算机，5G 网络跑得飞快，量子科技、生命科学…… 我们走在了科学领域的前沿。国庆让我们铭记历史，不忘初心，激励着我们为实现中华民族伟大复兴的中国梦而努力奋斗。

Maybe some students would say that these achievements are too distant for us. But please remember, the hard work of our elders is to let us have a stable desk and a bright classroom today. And our efforts now are building the foundation for our motherland’s future. In class, solving a difficult math problem is training our ability to explore things we don’t know. In Chinese class, reading and understanding a patriotic poem or article is passing on the love for our country that is in our blood. In art class, drawing the beautiful mountains and rivers of our motherland is putting our love onto the tip of our pens. Even picking up a piece of garbage on our own during breaks or cleaning the classroom carefully when it’s our turn is protecting our shared home with our actions—this is how teenagers show their love for the country.

或许有同学会说，这些成就离我们太遥远。但请记得，前辈们的奋斗，正是为了让我们拥有安稳的书桌、明亮的教室；而我们今天的努力，正是在为祖国的明天奠基。课堂上，解开一道数学难题，是在锤炼探索未知的能力；语文课上，品读一篇爱国诗文，是在传承血脉里的家国情怀；美术课上，描绘祖国的大好河山，是在将热爱融入笔尖。哪怕是课间主动捡起一片垃圾，值日时认真打扫教室，也是在以行动守护我们共同的家园 —— 这，就是少年人的爱国。

As students of VBS, and as teenagers standing at the center of the future, we should start with the small things around us. We need to follow the rules, study hard, respect our teachers, get along well with classmates, open our eyes to the world, and try to become Chinese citizens with sound physical and mental health, excellent academic skills, love for our country, a global view, and the courage to create a great future!

作为万双学子，作为站在未来中央的少年，我们要从身边的小事做起，遵守纪律，勤奋学习，尊敬师长，团结同学，拓宽国际视野，努力成为身体健康、人格健全、学力卓越，具有家国情怀和国际视野，敢于创造美好未来的中国公民！

Dear students, the fluttering national flag is the indicator of our beliefs; the loud national anthem is the call for us to move forward. Let’s see our youth as a pen and our hard work as ink. Let’s make a promise under the national flag: we will not let the times of our youth down; we will use knowledge to enrich our minds and use actions to do our duty, making our motherland’s tomorrow even more shining because of us!

大家早上好！今天，我想和大家分享两则振奋人心的中国新闻，感受属于我们国家的 “上天入地” 硬核实力。

Dear teachers and students,

Good morning! Today, I want to share two inspiring news stories about China with you, to experience the “soaring to the sky and reaching into the earth” kind of power of our country.

就在上周，咱们中国航天又传来好消息！9 月 26 日凌晨，神舟二十号航天员陈中瑞、王杰叔叔，在距离地球 600 多公里的空间站外，足足工作了 6 个小时。他们像太空 “工程师” 一样，精准安装了空间碎片防护装置，还仔细检查了舱外设备，圆满完成了第四次出舱任务。更了不起的是，这次出舱是我国首次由两名第三批航天员搭档完成舱外作业—— 大家知道吗？第三批航天员是咱们国家航天队伍里的 “新生力量”，就像咱们班级里刚加入小组的新同学，而这次两位 “新航天人” 能默契配合完成高难度任务，正如同班级里新老同学一起攻克学习难题：既有对任务流程的熟练衔接，又有彼此间的高效协作，这不仅说明他们自身能力过硬，更标志着中国航天人才队伍的 “接力棒” 顺利传递，未来会有更多年轻航天员带着中国梦想飞向太空！

Just last week, we received great news from China’s aerospace industry! In the early morning of September 26th, Astronauts Chen Zhongrui and Wang Jie of Shenzhou-20 worked outside the space station (more than 600 kilometers away from Earth) for a full 6 hours. Like “space engineers”, they accurately installed space debris protection devices and carefully inspected the equipment outside the cabin, successfully completing the fourth extravehicular mission. What’s even more remarkable is that this extravehicular mission is the first time in China that two astronauts from the third batch have completed the task in tandem. Did you know? The third batch of astronauts are the “new forces” in China’s aerospace team, just like the new classmates who have just joined a new group at our school. The two “new astronauts” successfully completed this difficult task with tacit cooperation, which is just like the new and old classmates in a class working together to solve problems: it not only shows their proficient connection with the mission process and efficient cooperation with each other, but also marks the smooth handover of the “baton” of China’s aerospace talent team. In the future, more young astronauts will fly to space to carry the Chinese dream!

而在咱们祖国的大地上，另一项 “世界第一” 工程也已登场。9 月 28 日，位于贵州的花江峡谷大桥正式通车啦！这座大桥特别 “牛”：全长近 3000 米，主桥跨径 1420 米，桥面到水面的高度有 625 米，相当于 200 多层楼高，不管是跨径还是高度，都稳居世界第一，被大家称为 “横竖都是世界第一” 的超级大桥。以前，大桥两岸的人们来往要走 2 小时山路，现在开车 2 分钟就能直达，还能带动当地发展旅游、卖出更多特色农产品。建设者们克服了峡谷强风等难题，用智慧和汗水架起了这座 “便民桥”“致富桥”。

On the ground of our motherland, another “world’s first” project has also been launched. On September 28th, the Huajiang Gorge Bridge in Guizhou was officially opened for traffic! This bridge is particularly “impressive”: with a total length of nearly 3,000 meters, a main span of 1,420 meters, and a height of 625 meters from the deck to the water (equivalent to the height of more than 200 floors). It ranks first in the world in both span and height, and is known as a “super bridge that is first in the world in both horizontal and vertical aspects”. In the past, it took people on both sides of the gorge 2 hours to travel via mountain roads; now, it only takes 2 minutes by car to cross directly. This bridge also promotes the local tourism development and the sales of more specialty agricultural products. The builders overcame difficulties such as strong winds in the gorge, and built this “convenient and prosperity bridge” with wisdom and sweat.

同学们，从太空出舱的航天壮举，到深山架桥的工程奇迹，这体现了逐梦苍穹与架桥山海的中国力量，背后是无数人刻苦钻研、勇于创新的付出，更是中国科技自立自强、团结协作的生动体现。这些 “中国骄傲” 告诉我们，只要有梦想、肯奋斗，就能创造奇迹。

Students, from the aerospace feats of extravehicular activities in space to the engineering miracle of building bridges in deep mountains, all of these reflect the Chinese strength of pursuing dreams in the sky and building bridges across mountains and seas. Behind them are the efforts of countless people doing diligent research and innovation, and they are also vivid manifestations of China’s self-reliance in science and technology and solidarity. These “Chinese prides” tell us that as long as we have dreams that we are willing to strive for, we can create miracles.

再过几天就是国庆佳节，愿大家在庆祝节日的同时，将这些中国奇迹铭记于心，让它们成为成长路上的动力，未来用自己的力量，让更多 “中国骄傲” 闪耀世界！

The National Day is just a few days away. I hope that while celebrating this festival, everyone will keep these Chinese miracles in mind, let them become your motivation on your growth journey, and use your own strength in the future to make “Chinese pride” shine around the world!
