万双网讯  2025年9月22日，万科双语学校2025-2026学年第一学期第四周升旗仪式在学校操场隆重举行。本次升旗仪式由朝气蓬勃的7I班承担。7I班是一个海纳百川、充满凝聚力的班集体。仪式上，丁子尧同学和杨若愚同学作为主持人，以饱满的精神面貌确保了环节的流畅进行。

On September 22, 2025, Vanke Bilingual School solemnly held the flag-raising ceremony for the fourth week of the first semester of the 2025-2026 academic year on the school playground. The ceremony was undertaken by the vibrant Class 7I, an inclusive and highly cohesive group. During the event, students Ding Ziyao (Eric) and Yang Ruoyu (Athena) served as hosts, ensuring the smooth progression of the ceremony with their energetic and professional demeanor.

在庄重的国旗下，李瑾瑜同学和杨紫安同学发表了题为《心系国防，筑梦中华》的演讲。他们向全体师生生动阐述了国防之于民族存亡和个人安宁的深远意义，强调新时代学子必须居安思危，将个人成长融入国家命运。他们号召同学们以史为鉴，主动学习国防知识，增强使命感；积极投身军训，锤炼坚强意志；从身边小事做起，培养爱国情怀，共同维护国家尊严，以智慧、体魄和勇气，肩负起民族复兴的伟大责任。

Under the solemn national flag, students Li Jinyu (Miffy) and Yang Zi’an (Angel) delivered a speech titled “Cherish National Defense, Build the Chinese Dream.” They eloquently explained to all faculty and students the profound significance of national defense for the survival of our nation and the security of every individual. The speakers emphasized that students in the new era must remain vigilant in times of peace and integrate personal growth with the nation’s destiny. They called upon their fellow students to draw lessons from history and take the initiative to learn about national defense, thereby strengthening their sense of mission. They also encouraged everyone to actively participate in military training to forge resilience, and to start with daily actions that cultivate patriotic feelings. Together, they urged, we must uphold our nation’s dignity and shoulder the great responsibility of national rejuvenation with our wisdom, physical strength, and courage.

紧接着，派驻第一书记董爱霞老师开启了书记话时事第一讲。董老师从“九一八事变”的历史切入，深刻指出历史的警钟仍在长鸣，并强调铭记历史是为了珍爱和平、开创未来。通过讲述当代青年在国防科技等领域的奋斗故事，她激励同学们将爱国热情转化为报国行动，鼓励大家专注学习、强健体魄，勇敢担当起新时代赋予的光荣使命。

Following this, Teacher Dong Aixia, the assigned First Secretary, launched the first session of this year’s “Secretary’s Talk on Current Affairs.” Beginning with the history of the September 18th Incident, Teacher Dong profoundly pointed out that the historical alarm bell still rings today, emphasizing that remembering history is essential for cherishing peace and creating a better future. By sharing inspiring stories of contemporary youth excelling in fields such as national defense technology, she motivated students to translate their patriotic fervor into tangible actions for the nation. She encouraged everyone to focus on their studies, strengthen their physical fitness, and courageously embrace the glorious mission entrusted to them in this new era.  

仪式最后，现场举行了2024-2025学年“金海豚班级”颁奖仪式。杨帆校长、林红英校长助理、周金凤主任共同为获奖班级颁发荣誉证书，对他们在过去一学年中的优异表现予以表彰。

The ceremony concluded with the ‘Golden Dolphin Class’ awards for the 2024-2025 academic year. Principal Yang Fan, Assistant Principal Lin Hongying, and Director Zhou Jinfeng jointly presented honorary certificates to the winning classes in recognition of their outstanding performance throughout the previous academic year.

Esteemed teachers and dear classmates,

大家好！我是七年级的杨紫安，和我一同进行英文演讲的是李瑾瑜，今天我们演讲的主题是“心系国防，筑梦中华”。

Good morning. I am Miffy from 7I, and joining me for the English part of this speech is Angel. Today, our topic is “Cherish National Defense, Build the Chinese Dream”.

9月21日是全民国防教育日，国防，是一个国家生存与发展的安全保障，是民族尊严的坚强后盾。也许有同学会说：“国防是军队的事，和我们学生有什么关系呢？”其实，国防与我们每个人的生活都息息相关。

September 21st is National Defense Education Day. National defense serves as the security guarantee for a country’s survival and development, and the strong backbone of a nation’s dignity. Some classmates might wonder, “Isn’t national defense just the military’s responsibility? What relevance does it have to us?” Actually, national defense is closely linked to every aspect of our lives.

回顾历史，我们曾因国防薄弱而饱受屈辱。鸦片战争的炮火，轰开了中国的国门，列强铁蹄肆意践踏我们的国土。甲午海战的惨败，让北洋水师葬身海底，给中华民族带来了刻骨铭心的伤痛。这些历史教训告诉我们，国无防不立，民无兵不安。

Looking back at history, our nation once suffered humiliation due to weak national defense. The cannon fire of the Opium War forced open China’s borders, and the iron hooves of foreign powers trampled on our land at will. The tragic defeat in the Sino-Japanese War of 1894-1895 sank the Beiyang Fleet to the bottom of the sea, bringing unforgettable pain to the Chinese nation. These historical lessons tell us: a nation cannot stand without defense, and its people cannot live in peace without a strong military.

如今，我们生活在和平年代，但这并不意味着我们可以忽视国防。当今世界，局部战争和地区冲突从未停止，霸权主义、强权政治依然存在，国家安全面临着诸多挑战。比如，网络安全就是一个不容忽视的问题。我们在享受网络带来的便利时，也可能会面临网络攻击、信息泄露等威胁，而这其实也是国防安全的一部分。

Today, we live in a peaceful era, but this does not mean we can neglect national defense. In the current world, local wars and regional conflicts have never ceased, hegemonism and power politics still exist, and national security have numerous challenges. Cyber security, for example, is an issue that cannot be ignored. While we enjoy the convenience brought by the internet, we may also face threats such as cyber-attacks and identify theft, which are actually part of national defense security.

作为万双的学生，我们能为国防做些什么呢？首先，我们要学习国防知识。我们可以通过阅读国防书籍、观看军事纪录片等方式，了解我国的国防历史、国防政策和军队建设成就，增强民族自豪感和使命感。其次，我们要积极参加学校组织的军训和国防教育活动。在军训中，磨练意志、锻炼体魄，培养纪律意识和团队精神，这也是在以实际行动践行国防责任。另外，我们还要培养爱国情怀，将个人的成长与国家的发展紧密结合起来。从身边的小事做起，爱护国旗、国徽，维护国家的荣誉和尊严。

As students of VBS, what can we do for national defense? First of all, we should learn about national defense. We can read books on national defense, watch military documentaries, and volunteer to understand more about China’s national defense history, defense policies, and achievements in military development, thereby enhancing our national pride and sense of mission. Secondly, we should actively participate in military training and national defense education activities organized by the school. During military training, we can temper our will, build up our physical strength, and cultivate a sense of discipline and team spirit, which is also a way of practicing our national defense responsibilities through practical actions. In addition, we should foster patriotic feelings and closely link our personal growth with the country’s development. We can start with small things around us: cherish the national flag and national emblem, and safeguard the honor and dignity of our country.

多年前，先辈写下 “少年强则国强”，那时的他们，也曾是课堂上攥紧笔的少年，是田埂上望着远方的少年，是想为破碎的家国撑出一点光的少年。而今天的我们，笔尖划过的不再是 “救亡图存”，而是 “星辰大海”；眼里装的不再是 “颠沛流离”，而是 “家国安宁”。我们的智慧，是对他们 “活下去” 的回应；我们的强壮，是对他们 “站起来” 的延续；我们的勇敢，是把他们未竟的 “强起来”，一笔一笔写进现实里。原来，所谓少年强，则国强，从来都是一代代少年，把滚烫的心，递到下一辈手里。

Many years ago, our predecessors wrote, “Strong youth makes a strong country.” Back then, they were also teenagers who clenched their pens in class, who looked into the distance at the ridges of fields, and who wanted to hold up a glimmer of light for the broken motherland. Today, our reason for tracing with pens is no longer “striving for survival”, but for “the stars and the sea”; what our eyes hold is no longer of “wandering in homelessness”, but about “the peace of our nation and country”. Our wisdom responds to their struggle for ‘survival’; our strength is a continuation of their struggle to “stand up”; our courage is turning their unfinished aspiration of ‘strength’ into reality”, stroke by stroke. It turns out that the saying “A strong youth makes a strong country” has always meant that generation after generation of teenagers pass on their burning hearts to the next.

As we stand beneath this bright Five-Starred Red Flag, our minds travel back 94 years to September 18th, 1931. On that night, the Japanese Kwantung Army blew up the South Manchuria Railway, orchestrating the September 18th Incident, which shocked China and the entire world. This event marked the beginning of China’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and served as the prelude to the world's anti-fascist war.

在沈阳九一八历史博物馆，同龄的同学们通过VR技术体验抗战岁月；在北京的校园里，少先队员们用画笔重现杨靖宇将军的英勇身影。这些活动告诉我们：铭记历史，不是延续仇恨，而是要让历史的警钟长鸣。

At the Shenyang September 18th History Museum, students use VR technology to experience the years of the War of Resistance. On Beijing school campuses, Young Pioneers recreate the heroic image of General Yang Jingyu with their paintbrushes. These activities remind us: Remembering history is not about perpetuating hatred, but about ensuring the alarm bell of history never ceases to ring.

Right now, on the deck of the Liaoning aircraft carrier, service members born after 1995 are guarding our seas. In Huawei’s laboratories, engineers born after 2000 are working hard to break through one critical chip technology challenge after another.
