On the morning of May 19, 2025, at 8:00 a.m., the flag-raising ceremony for the 15th week of the second semester of the 2024-2025 academic year at Shenzhen Vanke Bilingual School of Meisha Education was held on the playground. This week's ceremony was hosted by Class 4G and Class 4I, with Chen Zexing (Zack) and Ye Heng’er (Hedy) being the host and hostess.

Under the solemn national flag, four students—Guo Jingtong (Luna), Fu Shengbo (John), Yang Lianzong (Eric), and Wu Ruiying (Kitty)—took the stage with a speech titled "Inclusiveness and Grit Shape Our Future." They guided the entire school community, teachers and students alike, in exploring the meanings embedded in the names of classes at Vanke Bilingual School: inclusiveness and grit. They elaborated on how these two qualities take root and flourish in our campus life, nurturing every student. They mentioned that through interdisciplinary project-based learning, multicultural festivals, and sporting events like the "VBS Cup" football tournament, the school encourages students to understand different opinions through active listening and resolve disagreements through collaboration, making inclusiveness a habitual way of taking action. The radiance of grit similarly shines brightly in every student: whether it be self-encouragement in the face of failure or the relentless pursuit of one's dreams. Standing beneath the national flag, the four students called upon their peers to be both well-mannered and fearless warriors. They urged everyone to cheer up others with an inclusive heart, like sunlight dispelling the gloom, and to forge their own paths with a resolute will. Together, let us stand at the center of the future, embracing boundless possibilities!

Subsequently, members of the Fourth Young Pioneers Brigade Committee from Vanke Bilingual School, shouldering new responsibilities, made their appearance on the stage. At the end of the ceremony, in front of all the teachers and students, Miss Sun Xiaomeng announced the classes that had won the "Golden Dolphin" award for weeks 13-14. As the national flag rises slowly, despite our different personalities and talents, we all look up at this vibrant red with the same sincere hearts. At this moment, we deeply feel that it is the qualities of inclusiveness and grit that make our school so warm and powerful.

Look around our campus: there are football players sweating on the field, programming experts exploring innovation in AI classes, and creators shining in Art classes... Everyone is unique.

Inclusiveness means appreciating these differences and understanding the unique value of each individual. Just like in nature, where both towering mountains and gently flowing streams exist, together they form a magnificent landscape. In our campus life, inclusiveness is everywhere: in class, we listen attentively to different problem-solving approaches; in group collaborations, we respect each person's way of doing things; and in disagreements, we choose to take a step back for better perspective.

These seemingly ordinary actions are all glimmers of inclusiveness, illuminating the sky under all of us.

And grit is a spiritual force of unyielding determination and sustained effort. It requires us to remain calm and firm in the face of difficulties and challenges, to never give up easily.
而坚毅,是一种不屈不挠、持之以恒的精神力量,它要求我们在面对困难和挑战时,能够保持冷静和坚定,不轻易放弃。
From ancient times to the present, our ancestors have shown us the meaning of grit through their stories: Yue Fei was unwaveringly loyal to his country, safeguarding the mountains and rivers with his firm belief; Qian Xuesen gave up a comfortable life abroad to return home and serve the motherland, pioneering China's aerospace industry; and table tennis player Sun Yingsha played a total of 14 matches and 61 games at the Paris Olympics, being the only Chinese athlete whose competitions spanned across the entire Olympic schedule. Her grit earned widespread recognition.

In this era full of possibilities, inclusiveness teaches us to appreciate differences and learn to cooperate with others; while grit empowers us to face challenges bravely and never give up. Let's start from today:
