万双网讯 为提升学生英语演讲与跨文化表达能力,深化人与动物和谐共处的理念培养学生面向未来的责任感4月9日中午13:40,万科双语学校第43期E-talk活动“ 人类与动物”为主题在学校剧场举行。


Vanke Bilingual School News - In order to improve students’ English speech and cross-cultural expression skills, deepen the concept of harmonious coexistence between humans and animals, and cultivate students’ sense of responsibility for the future, the 43rd E-talk activity of Vanke Bilingual School was held in the school theater with the theme of “Humans and Animals” at 13:40 noon on April 9.

 

活动由8D班的周然和8F班的王湘剀担任主持人,Tim老师和Heaven老师担任评委。来自七、八年级六名学生用英语分享了他们与动物之间的故事与思考,活动吸引了百余名师生到场聆听,并通过校园直播面向全校同步呈现。


The event was hosted by Zhou Ran (Saffi) from Class 8D and Kevin Wang (Kevin) from Class 8F, with Mr. Tim and Mr. Heaven as judges. Six students from Year 7 and 8 shared their stories and thoughts on animals in English, and the event attracted more than 100 teachers and students to listen and present to the whole school through a live broadcast on campus.


7C蒋欣桐(Sophia):救助流浪猫的经历

蒋欣桐从停车场偶遇一只瘦弱流浪猫的经历出发,讲述了她与流浪猫建立信任的过程,并反思单纯投喂的局限性。她强调“捕捉-绝育-放归”(TNR)的重要性,通过科学方法控制种群数量,实现人与流浪猫共赢。目前,她已帮助社区20余只流浪猫完成绝育,部分成功被领养。Sophia呼吁:“保护动物不仅需要善意,更需用责任与智慧解决问题。” 评委评价道:“你用细腻的故事展现了从感性关怀到理性行动的成长,TNR理念的实践分享兼具温度与深度。演讲状态自然流畅,仿佛让观众亲身参与了流浪猫的救助旅程——这份从容与坚定,正是人与动物和谐共处的最佳注解。”


Starting from the experience of encountering an emaciated stray cat in the parking lot, Sophia recounted the process of building trust with stray cats and reflected on the limitations of simple feeding. She emphasised the importance of “Catch-Neuter-Release” (TNR) to control populations through scientific methods to achieve a win-win situation for both humans and stray cats. So far, she has helped more than 20 stray cats in the community to complete the neutering, and some of them have been successfully adopted. “Protecting animals requires not only kindness, but also responsibility and wisdom to solve problems,” Sophia said. The judge commented: “You used a delicate story to show the growth from emotional care to rational action, and the practical sharing of the TNR concept has both warmth and depth. The speech was natural and smooth, as if the audience had participated in the rescue journey of stray cats - this calmness and firmness are the best annotation of the harmonious coexistence of humans and animals. ”

8E黄子原(Alisa):保护濒危动物

黄子原中国朱鹮的保护奇迹为例,讲述了1981年陕西洋县发现仅存7只朱鹮后,政府与科学家如何通过立法、建立保护区、人工繁育等措施,将其种群恢复至7000余只的案例。她强调:“保护濒危动物需要全社会的努力,每一个微小的行动都能成为改变的开始。” 评委点评:“朱鹮从7只到7000只的逆袭故事,被你讲述得充满希望与力量,数据与案例的结合展现了严谨的科学精神。若能在表达时稍作停顿、调整呼吸,让紧张感转化为沉稳的叙事节奏,这个关于生命守护的传奇会更触动人心。”


Alisa used the conservation miracle of China’s crested ibis as an example to describe how the government and scientists restored their populations to more than 7,000 after only seven crested ibises were discovered in Yangxian County, Shaanxi Province in 1981. “Protecting endangered animals requires a whole-of-society effort, and every small action can be the beginning of change,” she stressed. The judge commented: “The story of the counterattack of the crested ibis from 7 to 7,000 is full of hope and strength told by you, and the combination of data and cases shows a rigorous scientific spirit.” If you can pause and adjust your breathing while expressing, and let the tension transform into a calm narrative rhythm, this legend about the protection of life will be even more touching. ”

陈思翰生态平衡角度切入,提出保护濒危动物的三大措施加强法律监管、保护栖息地和推动公众教育。他呼吁同学们从身边小事做起,如减少塑料使用、支持可持续产品,“只有人类与动物携手,地球才能永续繁荣”。评委点评:“你用清晰的逻辑框架将宏大的环保议题拆解为可操作的行动指南,每一条建议都紧扣生活实际,展现了对生态保护的深度思考。若能在呼吁时加入更多眼神交流与声音起伏,让自信的光芒照亮每一个观点,现场的号召力会更加鲜明。”


From the perspective of ecological balance, Joey proposed three major measures to protect endangered animals: strengthening legal supervision, protecting habitats and promoting public education. He called on the students to start with the small things around them, such as reducing the use of plastic and supporting sustainable products, “Only when humans and animals work together can the earth prosper sustainably.” The judge commented: “You used a clear logical framework to disassemble the grand environmental protection issues into actionable action guidelines, and each suggestion is closely related to the reality of life, showing in-depth thinking about ecological protection. If you can add more eye contact and voice ups and downs in your appeal, and let the light of confidence illuminate every point of view, the appeal of the scene will be more distinct. ”

宋泽睿深情讲述了校园三只流浪猫对大家从警惕到亲近的转变。他特别提到一只母猫在开学后失踪,最终被发现产崽的故事,并呼吁通过绝育控制流浪猫数量,减少疾病传播。“当我们伸手温暖一只猫时,也在拯救人性的温度。”  评委点评:“你对校园流浪猫的观察充满生活质感,母猫产崽的细节让‘保护’二字有了沉甸甸的情感重量。演讲时的自信风采令人印象深刻,若能适当放慢语速,让‘人性温度’的感悟在空气中多停留几秒,观众会更沉浸于这份温暖的共鸣。”


Jimmy affectionately told the story of the transformation of the three stray cats on campus from vigilance to closeness. He singled out the story of a female cat who disappeared after the start of school and was eventually found giving birth, and called for spaying to control the stray cat population and reduce the spread of the disease through neutering. “When we reach out to warm a cat, we are also saving the temperature of humanity.” The judge commented: “Your observation of stray cats on campus is full of life texture, and the details of the female cat's cubs give the word ‘protection’ a heavy emotional weight.” The confidence in the speech is impressive, and if you can slow down the pace of speech and let the feeling of ‘human warmth’ stay in the air for a few more seconds, the audience will be more immersed in this warm resonance. ”

简易以幽默的语言介绍了他的三只草龟在雨天欢快游泳、爱吃蛋黄和蚯蚓的日常趣事。他分享六年来与草龟共同成长的经历,感叹到:“它们不仅是宠物,更是教会我耐心与责任的朋友。” 评委点评:“你用轻松诙谐的语调,将草龟的日常转化为关于生命与责任的哲学课,这种‘以小见大’的叙事充满智慧。若能在讲述‘人为喷水’等趣味场景时,配合简单的肢体动作(如模仿草龟划水),会让这些可爱的小家伙从故事中‘游’到观众眼前。”


In humorous language, James describes the daily anecdotes of his three grass turtles swimming happily on rainy days and eating egg yolks and earthworms. He shared his experience of growing up with grass turtles over the past six years, exclaiming, “They are not only pets, but also friends who have taught me patience and responsibility.” The judge commented: “You use a relaxed and witty tone to transform the daily life of the grass turtle into a philosophy lesson about life and responsibility, and this narrative of ‘seeing the big from the small’ is full of wisdom. If you can tell interesting scenes such as ‘artificial water spraying’, with simple body movements (such as imitating a grass turtle paddling), these cute little guys will ‘swim’ from the story to the audience’s eyes. ”

杨静怡用活泼的语调描述了仓鼠Bean的“拆家”日常——钻纸巾盒、刨纸屑的滑稽场景。她笑称:“Bean用小小的身体诠释了生命的活力,提醒我珍惜生活中的每一份快乐。” 评委点评:“Bean的‘拆家’故事充满童趣,你对细节的生动刻画让全场忍俊不禁,展现了小动物为生活带来的纯粹快乐。若能在模仿Bean‘探出小脑袋’的得意模样时,加入更多语调的起伏变化(如惊喜的高音、宠溺的低音),这个充满生命力的瞬间会更加鲜活立体。”


Karerina used a lively tone to describe the daily life of the hamster Bean’s “dismantling” - the comical scene of drilling tissue boxes and planing confetti. She laughs, “Bean interprets the vitality of life with a small body, reminding me to cherish every joy in life.” The judge commented: “Bean’s story of ‘house demolition’ is full of childlike fun, and your vivid portrayal of details made the audience laugh, showing the pure joy that small animals bring to life. If you can add more ups and downs in tone (such as surprise trebles, doting basses) when mimicking Bean’s triumphant appearance of ‘sticking out his little head’, this moment full of life will be more vivid and three-dimensional. ”

 

评委Tim老师与Hevean老师对学生的表现给予高度评价:“选手们不仅展现了优秀的英语表达能力,更通过真实故事传递了深刻的人文关怀。蒋欣桐的TNR实践体现了解决问题的能力,黄子原的案例研究展现了科学精神,简易与杨静怡的生动讲述让观众感受到人与动物之间的温暖纽带。”同时,评委们建议学生注意演讲语速和加强演讲中的眼神交流与肢体语言,以进一步提升感染力。


Judges Mr. Tim and Mr. Hevean spoke highly of the students’ performance: “The contestants not only showed excellent English expression skills, but also conveyed profound humanistic care through real stories. Jiang Xintong’s TNR practice embodies problem-solving skills, Huang Ziyuan’s case study shows the spirit of science, and Jane’s vivid narration with Yang Jingyi makes the audience feel the warm bond between humans and animals. At the same time, the judges advised students to pay attention to the speed of speech and strengthen eye contact and body language in the speech to further enhance the appeal.

本次E-talk不仅为学生提供了展示自我的舞台,更在校园中播撒了尊重生命、关爱自然的种子,激励更多人成为动物保护的践行者与倡导者。正如活动所传递的信念:“当年轻一代学会以爱与责任拥抱自然,人与动物的和谐共生便有了最温柔而坚实的底色。”


This E-talk not only provided a stage for students to show themselves, but also sowed the seeds of respect for life and care for nature on campus, inspiring more people to become practitioners and advocates of animal protection. As the event conveyed: “When the younger generation learns to embrace nature with love and responsibility, the harmonious coexistence of humans and animals will have the most gentle and solid background.”

 

万科双语学校E-talk活动每周举行一次,学生自主报名参与,中文、英文均可,老师将相同或相似主题的演讲者安排在同一期演讲,主旨是让学生做到能说、会说、敢说,善思、善辩、善究。

 

The E-talk activity of Vanke Bilingual School is held once a week. Students can sign up to participate on their own. Both Chinese and English are accepted. The teacher arranges speakers with the same or similar topics to give speeches in the same period. The purpose is to enable students to be able to speak freely, confidently and bravely; to be good at thinking, debating, and doing research.

This E-talk not only provided a stage for students to show themselves, but also sowed the seeds of respect for life and care for nature on campus, inspiring more people to become practitioners and advocates of animal protection. As the event conveyed: “When the younger generation learns to embrace nature with love and responsibility, the harmonious coexistence of humans and animals will have the most gentle and solid background.”

 

万科双语学校E-talk活动每周举行一次,学生自主报名参与,中文、英文均可,老师将相同或相似主题的演讲者安排在同一期演讲,主旨是让学生做到能说、会说、敢说,善思、善辩、善究。

 

The E-talk activity of Vanke Bilingual School is held once a week. Students can sign up to participate on their own. Both Chinese and English are accepted. The teacher arranges speakers with the same or similar topics to give speeches in the same period. The purpose is to enable students to be able to speak freely, confidently and bravely; to be good at thinking, debating, and doing research.

 

E-talk的舞台是开放的,我们欢迎每一位VBS未来少年来到这里,站在聚光灯下,向世界展示自己的独特魅力;我们鼓励孩子们挑战自我,突破困境;我们相信,每一个孩子都有无限的潜力,只要他们有勇气站上舞台,就有可能成为真正的演讲者。

 

The stage of E-talk is open. We welcome every future teenager of VBS to come here, stand in the spotlight, and show their unique charm to the world; we encourage children to challenge themselves and break through difficulties; we believe that every child has unlimited potential. As long as they have the courage to stand on the stage, they may become real speakers.

 

让我们一起期待,在E-talk的舞台上,VBS未来少年们将如何用他们的声音,引领我们走进他们的世界,感受他们的热情与活力
