万双网讯  2025年4月14日上午9时，梅沙教育深圳万科双语学校2024-2025学年第二学期第十周升旗仪式在操场举行。本周升旗仪式由2C班和2D班承担，张以琳同学和朱嘉煜同学担任主持人。

At 9 a.m. on April 14th, 2025, the flag - raising ceremony of the tenth week in the second semester of the 2024 - 2025 academic year of Meisha Education Shenzhen Vanke Bilingual School was held on the playground. This week’s flag - raising ceremony was undertaken by Class 2C and Class 2D, and Yilia Zhang and Apple Zhu served as the hosts.

2C班的崔晟恩同学和马玥夕同学借第十个全民国家安全教育日来临之际，发表了关于国家安全的讲话。他们形象地比喻国家安全为无形却至关重要的空气，时刻守护着我们的平安与繁荣。两位同学指出，无论是遵守交通规则、节约资源，还是维护校园秩序，都是对国家安全的具体贡献。同时，他们强调作为新时代学生，应增强安全意识，学习知识，提高防范能力，并传播安全理念。最后，他们号召全体师生从自身做起，从小事做起，共同守护祖国，以实际行动践行“国家安全，从我做起”的承诺。

As the 10th National Security Education Day is approaching, Messi Cui and Grace Ma from Class 2C delivered a speech on national security. They vividly compared national security to the invisible yet crucial force that always guards our peace and prosperity. The two students pointed out that whether it is abiding by traffic rules, saving resources, or maintaining campus order, they are all equal aspects of national security. At the same time, they emphasized that as students in the new era, we should enhance our safety awareness, gain knowledge, improve our prevention ability, and spread safety methods. Finally, they called on all teachers and students to start with personal efforts in small things to jointly safeguard the motherland, and practice the promise of "national security starts with me" with practical actions.

在时事分享环节，派驻第一书记刘晓娟老师与同学们分享了关于国际局势与我国两会的重要联系。她指出，面对美国关税政策波动，我们更应关注国内发展。今年三月召开的两会，紧密联系民众生活，如猪肉价格调控、快递柜普及、托育服务完善等议题，均体现民主制度优势。刘老师鼓励同学们关注国家大事，理解两会精神，脚踏实地为实现中华民族伟大复兴的中国梦而努力奋斗！

In the current affairs sharing session, Teacher Liu Xiaojuan, the first - secretary - dispatched, shared with the students the important connection between the current international situation and China’s Two Sessions. She pointed out that in the face of the fluctuation of the US tariff policy, we should pay more attention to domestic development. The Two Sessions held in March this year are closely related to people’ s lives. Issues such as the regulation of pork prices, the popularization of express delivery lockers, and the improvement of childcare services all reflect the advantages of our democratic system. Teacher Liu encouraged the students to pay attention to national affairs, understand the spirit of the Two Sessions, and work hard to realize the Chinese Dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.

A: “National security is like the air we breathe every day; although it is invisible and intangible, it helps us at all times. It ensures our campus is safe and orderly, brings happiness and harmony to our families, and fosters prosperity and strength for our country.”

B:国家安全就像我们每天呼吸的空气，虽然看不见摸不着，却时时刻刻保护着我们。它让我们的校园平安有序，让我们的家庭幸福美满，让我们的国家繁荣昌盛。  

A: In fact, national security is closer than you think. When we follow traffic rules, we are maintaining social safety; When we save water and electricity, we are protecting resource security; when we refrain from casually revealing personal information online, we are safeguarding cybersecurity; 

B：其实，国家安全离我们并不遥远。当我们遵守交通规则时，是在维护社会安全；当我们节约用水用电时，是在保护资源安全；当我们不在网上随意透露个人信息时，是在守护网络安全；

A: When we study Chinese history diligently, we are defending cultural security.  When we adhere to campus rules and pay attention to safety during breaks, we are also contributing to campus safety!

B:当我们认真学习历史、传承中华文化时，是在捍卫文化安全。当我们遵守校园秩序、注意课间安全时，也是在为校园安全贡献力量！

A: Over the past decade, national security education has been deeply rooted in people’s hearts, from cities to villages, from campuses to wider society. As students of the new era, we should:

大家早上好！最近，美国的关税大棒疯狂砸向世界各国，我们又一次清晰看清了他的霸权嘴脸时，也使我们看到美国政府丝毫没有考虑美国民众的利益。但世界的这边，我们中国呢？今天，让我们一起通过两会来了解一下。

Dear teachers and fellow students,

Good morning, everyone! Recently, the United States has been recklessly wielding its tariff stick at countries around the world. While we have once again clearly seen its hegemonism, we also realize that the U.S. government has shown no regard for the interests of the American people. But what about our China on this side of the world? Today, let’s learn about it through the Two Sessions.

今年3月初，中国北京召开了“超重磅”的两会。什么是两会？两会是指人民代表大会和人民政治协商会议。由于两场会议召开时间接近或基本同时进行，故简称为两会。

At the beginning of March this year, the extremely significant Two Sessions were held in Beijing, China. What are the Two Sessions? The Two Sessions refer to the National People’s Congress (NPC) and the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC). Since the two sessions are held close to or basically at the same time, they are simply referred to as the Two Sessions.

那咱们普通人与两会究竟有着什么样的联系呢？Give a few examples.举一些例子：当李大妈在超市为猪肉价格犯愁时，可能不知道代表委员正在讨论生猪产能调控；当快递小哥抱怨小区没有智能快递柜时，劳动者权益保障已写入政府工作报告；宝妈在政务平台留言的托育焦虑，转身成了小组讨论里的普惠托育服务体系议题。

So, what is the connection between ordinary people like us and the Two Sessions? Let’s give a few examples. When Aunt Li is worried about the price of pork in the supermarket, she may not know that the deputies to the NPC and members of the CPPCC are discussing the regulation of pig production capacity. When the delivery guy complains that there are no smart express lockers in the community, the protection of the rights and interests of workers has already been written into the government work report. The anxiety about childcare that a young mother left as a message on the government affairs platform has turned into a group discussion topic on the inclusive of the current childcare service system.

而这些信息都源自于调研走访、听取民众意见后，人大代表依法提交的议案或政协委员精心准备的提案。而他们都在履行同一个使命，把街头巷议的民生期待锻造成治国理政的政策基石，直接关系到老百姓的切身利益。

And all this information comes from the motions submitted by the deputies to the NPC in accordance with the law or by direct proposals carefully prepared by the members of the CPPCC after conducting investigations, visits, and listening to the opinions of the people. And they are all fulfilling the same mission: forging the people’s expectations for people’s livelihood, which are constantly being discussed on the streets and in alleys, seeping into the policy cornerstone of governing the country, which is directly related to the vital interests of the common people.

当代表委员们开完会，咱们老百姓的关心、期盼就都被记进了国家发展的大账本里。这场百姓出题、政府答卷的生动实践，让政策制定不再是闭门造车，而是变成量体裁衣的好衣裳，更充分体现着我们国家发展全过程人民民主，人民当家作主。亲爱的万小双们，让我们脚踏实地为实现中华民族伟大复兴的中国梦而努力奋斗！

When the deputies to the NPC and members of the CPPCC finish their meetings, the concerns and expectations of the common people are all recorded in the big ledger of the country’s development. This vivid practice of the people posing questions and the government answering them has made policy formulation no longer a matter of working behind closed doors. Instead, it has become a well - tailored garment, which more fully reflects democracy throughout the whole process of our country’s development and that the people are the masters of the country. Dear VBS’ers, let’s work hard with our feet on the ground to realize the Chinese Dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation!
