万双网讯  3月24日上午9点，一面曾在天安门广场上空飘扬的五星红旗，带着首都的晨曦与天安门广场的风，来到了万科双语学校的操场上。当天安门国旗护卫队退役战士戚灼怀和他的战友们展开这面长5米、宽3.3米的巨幅国旗时，全校师生的目光被那抹鲜艳的中国红紧紧攥住。

At 9 a.m. on March 24th, a Five-starred Red Flag that had once fluttered above Tiananmen Square, saw the dawn at the capital and felt the wind of Tiananmen Square, arrived on the playground of Vanke Bilingual School. When Qi Zhuohuai, a retired soldier of the Tiananmen National Flag Guard, and his comrades unfolded this huge national flag, which is 5 meters long and 3.3 meters wide, the eyes of all the teachers and students in the school were firmly drawn to that vivid Chinese red.

红旗飘扬：庄重的升旗时刻

The Flag Fluttering: The Solemn Flag-raising Moment

“升国旗，奏唱国歌，少先队员行队礼！”随着主持人5X班边梓涵同学和5Y班黄语童同学的指令，伴随着铿锵有力的脚步声，由七八年级学生组成的学校国旗班护送着鲜艳的五星红旗，跟随退役国旗班战士戚灼怀、揭志华、周泰民迈着整齐的步伐走向升旗台。他们身姿挺拔，目光坚定，每一步都踏出了力量。当雄壮嘹亮的《义勇军进行曲》响起，戚灼怀战士用力挥动右臂划出优美弧线，在全体师生的注目下，三位战士将国旗缓缓升起，激昂的国歌声响彻校园，五星红旗迎风飘扬，爱国之情在每个人心中激荡。

“Raise the national flag, play and sing the national anthem, Young Pioneers salute!” , instructed Bian Zihan from Class 5X and Huang Yutong from Class 5Y. Accompanied by sonorous and powerful footsteps, the school's national flag team from Grades 7 and 8 escorted the bright Five-starred Red Flag and followed the retired national flag class soldiers Qi Zhuohuai, Jie Zhihua, and Zhou Taimin as they marched in neat steps towards the flag-raising platform. They stood tall and straight, with firm gazes, and every step exuding strength. When the majestic and resounding “March of the Volunteers” sounded, Qi Zhuohuai forcefully waved his right arm in a beautiful arc. Under the watchful eyes of all the teachers and students, the three soldiers slowly raised the national flag. The passionate national anthem resounded throughout the campus, the Five-starred Red Flag fluttered in the wind, and the love for the motherland surged in everyone's heart.

全场师生和战士们伴随着乐曲同时唱起国歌，目不转睛地注视着鲜艳的五星红旗冉冉升起，心中充满了对祖国的崇敬和热爱。

All the teachers, students, and soldiers sang the national anthem simultaneously to the music, gazing intently as the bright Five-starred Red Flag slowly rose. Everyone present was filled with reverence and love for the motherland.

精神的传承：钢铁之躯铸就的国旗信仰  

The Inheritance of Spirit: The Belief in the National Flag Forged by an Iron Body

“地表温度高达60℃，我们后背别着十字木架，衣领别针针尖抵住脖颈，稍有动作便鲜血直流。”戚灼怀深情回忆起他们在国旗护卫工作中的经历和感悟，每一个细节都仿佛将那段艰苦岁月重新呈现在大家眼前。在场的每一位同学都心潮澎湃、深受触动。

“ The ground temperature was as high as 60°C. We had a wooden cross pinned to our backs, and the tip of the collar pin pressed against our necks. A slight movement would make us bleed.” Qi Zhuohuai emotionally recalled their experiences during their national flag guard work. Every detail seemed to bring that arduous time back to everyone's heart. Every student present was deeply moved and their hearts were filled with excitement.

“但当我在阅兵式上走过天安门，所有疼痛都化作了荣耀。”戚灼怀的声音中带着自豪与坚定。他的讲述让孩子们沉默了——课本里“无数革命先烈用鲜血染红的旗帜”或许曾经显得有些抽象，但此刻，战士们对国旗的热爱和付出是如此具象，让孩子们真切地感受到了那面旗帜的重量。

“But when I marched past Tiananmen Square during the military parade, all that pain turned into glory.” There was pride and determination in Qi Zhuohuai's voice. His story left the children in silence. The "flag dyed red with the blood of countless revolutionary martyrs" in the textbook might have seemed a bit abstract before, but at this moment, the soldiers’ love and dedication to the national flag were so tangible that the children truly felt the weight of that flag.

触摸国旗的温度

Feeling the Warmth of the National Flag

战士们精心准备了一份意义非凡的礼物——一面曾在首都北京天安门上空迎风飘扬的五星红旗！师生们有序列队，用指尖轻轻触碰那面神圣的国旗时，许多人眼眶泛红。“从前总觉得升旗是个形式，现在才明白每一次敬礼都是对无数人牺牲的回应。”一位同学动情地说道。

The soldiers carefully prepared a gift of great significance - a Five-starred Red Flag that had once fluttered in the wind above Tiananmen in Beijing, the capital! The teachers and students all lined up in an orderly manner. When it was their turn to gently touch the sacred national flag with their fingertips, many people's eyes turned red. “I used to think that raising the flag was just a formality. Now I understand that every salute is a response to the sacrifices of countless people.” a student said emotionally.

此刻，晨光中的国旗愈发鲜艳。这面跨越山海的旗帜，不仅带来了天安门广场的温度，更在孩子们心田种下了一颗种子——那是对历史的敬畏、对信仰的坚守，更是对未来的坚定承诺。

At this moment, the national flag in the morning sunlight became even more vivid. This flag that has crossed mountains and seas not only brought the warmth of Tiananmen Square but also planted a seed in the hearts of the children - it is a reverence for history, a commitment to belief, and even a firm promise for the future.

未来的承诺：让国旗精神照亮青春征程

The Promise of the Future: Let the Spirit of the National Flag Illuminate the Journey of Youth

刘静老师在国旗下讲话中带领同学们一同探寻升国旗这一庄严仪式背后那深沉而磅礴的力量，感受它与我们国家发展、民族复兴之间的紧密脉络。在她的分享中强调，从“站起来”到“富起来”，再到“强起来”，我们每个人都是这面旗帜的守护者。当科技领域的突破不断刷新中国高度，当智能机器人产业展现文化自信，新时代青少年更需将个人奋斗融入民族复兴的征程。  

In her speech under the national flag, Liu Jing, a teacher, led the students to explore the profound and majestic power behind the solemn ceremony of raising the national flag and she made students feel its close connection with the development of our country and the rejuvenation of the nation. In her sharing, she emphasized that from "standing up" to "becoming prosperous" and then to "becoming strong", each of us is a guardian of this flag. The breakthroughs in the field of science and technology continuously make China stronger. The intelligent robot industry demonstrates China’s cultural confidence. So, teenagers in the new era need to use their personal struggles for the journey of national rejuvenation.

道法课上的校园国旗守护计划 

The Campus National Flag Protection Plan in the Morality and the Rule of Law Class

在过去两周里，学校道德与法治科组已将国旗教育融入各年级课程，刘静老师在讲话中提到：1～3年级的同学学习了国旗的知识，重温了升旗的礼仪。4年级的同学开展了“国旗守护计划”的活动，从奥运会赛场上孙扬、潘展乐用实际行动表达对国旗的尊重，到我们每一位同学如何正确地佩戴红领巾，并讨论了如何让全班同学在升旗仪式中做得更好，清晰地明确了每个人应该如何做。5年级的同学从无数革命先辈舍小家为大家的事迹中探索五星红旗背后的意义，6年级的同学从历史走向世界思考国旗下的中国，传承爱国主义精神。7～9年级的同学从当今的国际局势感受我国正经历百年未有之大变局，明确新时代青年身上所肩负的使命和责任。

In the past two weeks, the school’s Morality and the Rule of Law subject group has integrated national flag education into the curricula of all grades. Miss Liu  mentioned in her speech: Students in Grades 1 to 3 have learned about the national flag and reviewed the flag-raising etiquette. Students in Grade 4 carried out the activity of the “National Flag Protection Plan”. They learned the story of Sun Yang and Pan Zhanle who expressed their respect for the national flag on the Olympic Games field. Besides, by correctly wearing the red scarf, and they also discussed how to make the whole class perform better during the flag-raising ceremony. Students in Grade 5 explored the meaning behind the Five-starred Red Flag from the deeds of countless revolutionaries who sacrificed for their small families and for the country. Students in Grade 6 learned about China under the national flag from its history with the world and inherited the spirit of patriotism. Students in Grades 7 to 9 learned that our country is experiencing great changes throughout the past century and understood the mission and responsibility on the shoulders of young people in the new era.

升旗仪式上，当《义勇军进行曲》再次响起，全校师生的歌声从未如此洪亮。这场特殊的教育活动，让国旗从课本走向生活，让爱国情怀从感动升华为行动。正如戚灼怀战士在演讲中所说："国旗护卫队的使命是让五星红旗每天准时升起，而你们的使命，是让这面旗帜永远飘扬在民族复兴的征途上。"  

During the flag-raising ceremony, when the “March of the Volunteers” sounded again, the singing of all the teachers and students in the school had never been so loud. This special educational activity brought the national flag from the textbook to life and elevated the patriotic sentiment from being touched to taking action. Just as Soldier Qi Zhuohuai said in his speech, “The mission of the National Flag Guard is to make the Five-starred Red Flag rise on time every day, and your mission is to make this flag always flutter on the journey of national rejuvenation.”
