万双网讯  在这个充满探索与发现的学期中，万科双语学校三年级的数学课堂格外生动有趣。一群充满活力的小探险家们，走进了《年月日》的奇妙世界。日期相关的知识，虽然早已融入学生的日常学习和生活中，但真正要深入理解其中的奥秘，仍需一番努力，一场别开生面的学习之旅就此展开。

In a semester filled with exploration and discovery, the mathematics classroom for third graders at Vanke Bilingual School was particularly lively and interesting. A group of energetic little explorers stepped into the wonderful world of learning calendar dates. Although knowledge related to dates has already been integrated into students’ daily learning and lives, truly understanding the mysteries within still requires effort, and thus a unique learning journey began.

“一年有365个日出……”大家都知道一年有365天，但这一规定背后有着怎样的科学依据呢？同学们在课前借助预学单提供的学习支架，结合查阅课本和网络资料，自主探究基本知识。随后，在课堂大家一同观看了生动有趣的视频讲解，从直观的动画中了解了地球自转形成一日、公转产生一年的科学原理。这一系列主动探索的学习过程，不仅激发了同学们的学习兴趣，更让他们对时间单位有了更加直观和深入的理解。

“There are 365 sunrises in a year...” While it is common knowledge that there are 365 days in a year, what scientific principles underpin this concept? Prior to class, students utilized learning scaffolds provided in the pre-study of materials to independently explore fundamental concepts by consulting textbooks and online resources. Subsequently, the class engaged in an interactive viewing of an engaging video explanation, which illustrated through intuitive animations the scientific principles behind the Earth's rotation resulting in a day and its revolution throughout a year. This series of active learning experiences not only sparked students’interest in the subject but also provided them with a more tangible and profound understanding of units of time.

年月日不仅仅是日历上的数字，为了将所学知识内化于心、外化于行，我们将其应用于解决一些应用型数学问题和简单的实际问题。比如，通过计算日期差，学生可以轻松作出假期出行规划，确保行程安排得当；通过了解闰年的规则，他们能更好地理解历史事件的时间跨度，从而在学习历史时更加得心应手。这些实践应用，不仅让学生感受到了数学的魅力，使他们意识到数学知识在日常生活中的重要价值和广泛应用。

The concept of dates is not merely a series of numbers on a calendar; it serves as a foundation for internalizing knowledge and applying it to practical mathematical problems. For instance, by calculating date differences, students can effectively plan their holiday travels, ensuring their itineraries are well-organized. Additionally, by understanding the rules of leap years, they gain a deeper insight into the time spans of historical events, enhancing their grasp of history. These practical applications not only allow students to appreciate the allure of mathematics but also highlight the significant value and extensive applicability of mathematical knowledge in everyday life.

在掌握了基础知识后，同学们开启了一场跨学科探索与实践的奇妙旅程。他们充分借助手中的iPad，发挥自主学习的能力，设计出一系列丰富多彩的成果。个人专属时间表、班级个性化台历、章节思维导图、宣传海报等作品，无不彰显着他们的创意与智慧。在每份月历中，同学们不仅用英语标注了月份和星期，还融入了语文的经典古诗和中国传统节气，在感受时间流转的同时，巧妙地将数学知识与英语、语文等多个学科相融合，进一步加深了对中华文化的理解与传承。

After mastering the basic knowledge, the students embarked on a journey of interdisciplinary exploration and practice. They made full use of their iPads and demonstrated their ability for independent learning in designing a series of colorful creations, including personalized schedules, class-themed calendars, chapter mind maps, and promotional posters, all showcasing their creativity and intelligence. In each monthly calendar, the students not only labeled the months and days of the week in English but also incorporated classical Chinese poetry and traditional Chinese solar terms, cleverly blending mathematics with multiple subjects like English and Chinese to experience the passage of time. This further deepened their understanding and appreciation of Chinese culture.

更令人欣喜的是，不少学生还发挥想象力，为特定的月份设计了主题插画：儿童节的插画洋溢着天真烂漫的气息，父亲节的插画传递出温馨感恩的情感，而儿童节的插画则充满了神秘有趣的氛围。这些生动的元素不仅为年历增添了色彩与活力，也充分体现了同学们对生活细节的敏锐捕捉和创意表达，彰显出他们独特的艺术天赋和对生活的热爱与热情。

What was even more delightful was that many students unleashed their imagination by designing themed illustrations for specific months: the illustration for Children’s Day was filled with an air of innocence and joy, the illustration for Father’s Day conveyed warmth and gratitude, while the illustration for Children’s Day was imbued with a mysterious and interesting atmosphere. These vivid elements not only added color and vitality to the calendars but also reflected the students’ keen observation of life’s details and their creative expression, showcasing their unique artistic talents and their love and passion for life.

然而，我们的PBL项目并未止步于此。同学们精心策划并演绎了一台情景剧《作业风波》，生动地讲述了自己这学期的心路历程。开学初，随着升入新的年级，作业量和学习任务都有所增加，大家手足无措，常常陷入“一会儿写数学，一会儿背单词”的混乱状态。这样的他们难以高效学习。随着剧情的推进，同学们逐步认识到时间管理的重要性。他们开始学习制定计划，合理安排每日的任务清单，区分轻重缓急，高效利用时间。经过一个学期的努力调整，剧中的小主角们不仅学业有了显著提升，更重要的是，他们学会了珍惜、规划时间，面对困难能够积极寻找解决办法。时间，不仅是数字，它平等地赋予每人每天24小时。只要合理规划时间，就能在生活点滴中感受到数学与时间的智慧，真正实现时间的价值最大化，让每一天都充满意义和收获。

However, their PBL project did not stop here. The students carefully planned and performed a skit titled “Homework Turmoil,”vividly narrating their emotional journey throughout the semester. At the beginning of the school year, with the transition to a new grade, the workload and learning tasks increased, leaving everyone at a loss and often falling into a chaotic state of “writing math one moment and memorizing vocabulary the next.”In such a situation, they found it difficult to study efficiently. As the skit progressed, the students gradually realized the importance of time management. They began to learn how to make plans, reasonably arrange their daily task lists, prioritize things, and use their time effectively. After a semester of effort and adjustment, the main characters in the skit not only saw significant improvements in their academic performance but, more importantly, learned to cherish and plan their time to actively seek solutions when facing difficulties. Time is not just a number; it grants everyone 24 hours a day equally. As long as time is reasonably planned, one can feel the wisdom of mathematics and time in life’s little moments, truly maximizing the value of time and making every day meaningful and rewarding.

回顾整个项目，同学们成功地将抽象的年月日知识转化为具体可操作的学习工具，他们收获的不仅仅是知识，更是在不断克服困难、取得成果的过程中，积累了一段段难忘的经历和一次次成长的喜悦。从最初的迷茫到后来的自信，从独自探索到团队协作，从知识积累到实践应用，创新意识也在潜移默化中悄然形成。在未来的学习和生活中，孩子们会有更多探索和创新的机会，在数学的海洋中自由翱翔！

Reflecting on the entire project, the students successfully transformed the abstract knowledge of years, months, and days into concrete, actionable learning tools. Their gains encompassed not just knowledge, but also a collection of unforgettable experiences and the joy of growth garnered through overcoming difficulties and achieving results. From the initial confusion to confidence later on, from individual exploration to teamwork, and from knowledge accumulation to practical application, their innovative mindset developed subtly over time. In their future learning and life, these children will have more opportunities to explore and innovate, soaring freely along the ocean of mathematics!
