万双网讯  为提高学生演讲与表达的综合能力，提升学生的中英文综合素养，让孩子站在舞台中央，2024年11月14日下午6时，万科双语学校第32期E-talk活动在学校剧场举行。100余名师生现场聆听了演讲。活动同时面向全校师生直播。

Vanke Bilingual School News — To improve students' comprehensive ability of speech and expression, enhance students' comprehensive literacy in Chinese and English, and put children at the center of the stage, the 32nd E-talk of Vanke Bilingual School was held in the school theater at 6 p.m. on November 14, 2024. Over 100 teachers and students attended the event, and it was also live-streamed to the entire school.

本次E-talk活动的主题是 “科学与技术” 。来自五至六年级的5名同学用中文进行了精彩的演讲，分享了他们对科学技术发展的感受。评委老师为同学们的精彩表现做了点评。

The theme of this E-talk was “Science and Technology”. Five students from Grade 5 to Grade 6 delivered wonderful speeches in Chinese, sharing their thoughts on the development of science and technology. The judges provided comments on the students' excellent performances.

6G 郑懿宸（Bella）：科学与技术

Zheng Yichen, Bella, 6G: Science and Technology

6G班郑懿宸同学的演讲分为四个部分：发明与发现、医学进展、人工智能在生活中的应用以及科学精神。郑懿宸同学首先概述了科技发展对生活和医疗等方面的贡献，如：发明与发现如何使生活更便利、医学技术的进步提升了诊断与治疗的准确性、人工智能在日常生活中起到了回答问题、互动、减轻工作压力等重要作用，还点明了科学精神的实质。最后，她强调科学不仅是发明和发现，还涉及好奇心、探索和追求真理，鼓励学生们努力学习科学和技术，为创造更美好的世界贡献力量。外教评委点评说：“非常棒，你表现得很自信，演讲组织得很好，也很流利，让我很清晰地理解了你为我们介绍的内容，你完成了一次很棒的演讲，谢谢你。”

Zheng Yichen from Class 6G delivered a speech divided into four parts: Inventions and Discoveries, Medical Advances, Applications of Artificial Intelligence in Daily Life, and the Spirit of Science. She began by outlining how technological development contributes to various aspects of life and healthcare. For instance, she explained how inventions and discoveries have made life more convenient, how advances in medical technology have improved the accuracy of diagnoses and treatments, and how artificial intelligence plays a vital role in daily life by answering questions, interacting, and reducing work-related stress. She also highlighted the essence of the scientific spirit. In conclusion, she emphasized that science is not only about inventions and discoveries but also about curiosity, exploration, and the pursuit of truth, encouraging students to dedicate themselves to learning science and technology to help build a better world. The foreign judge commented: "Amazing! You were very confident. Your speech was well-organized and fluent, and you presented the content in a way that was very clear and easy for me to understand. You did a fantastic job, thank you!"

6I 杨紫安（Angel）：科技兴国

Yang Zian, Angel, 6I: Rejuvenation of the Nation Through Science and Technology

6I班的杨紫安同学回顾了中国在科技领域的发展历程和取得的成就。她提到中国曾两次遭遇美国关闭GPS的困境，也曾被欧盟欺骗加入伽利略卫星计划、被拒绝参与国际空间站项目……面对这些挑战，中国没有放弃，而是自力更生，奋发图强。从“神舟一号”飞船，到“嫦娥一号”月球探测器，再到建成中国空间站，完成“嫦娥六号”月球采样任务，中国在航天领域取得了显著成就，同时北斗卫星导航系统也全面建成并实现了全球覆盖。杨紫安同学强调，科技的发展不仅提升了国家的实力，也激励了年轻一代为国家的强盛而努力。评委赞扬道：“你很好地解释了‘科技兴国’这个主题的重要性。告诉了我们中国发展空间技术的重要性以及已经取得的成就，也让我们知道必须把技术发展掌握在自己手中。你的演讲节奏很棒，发音也很好，让我作为一个听众能够清楚地理解。加油！”

Yang Zian from Class 6I reflected on China's journey of scientific and technological development and its remarkable achievements. She highlighted instances when China faced challenges, such as the United States shutting off access to GPS twice, being misled into joining the Galileo satellite project by the European Union, and being excluded from the International Space Station program. Despite these obstacles, China persevered through self-reliance and determination. From the launch of the Shenzhou-1 spacecraft to the Chang'e-1 lunar probe, the establishment of the Chinese Space Station, and the successful lunar sample return mission of Chang'e-6, China has made significant strides in space exploration. Additionally, the Beidou Satellite Navigation System has been fully deployed, achieving global coverage. Yang Zian emphasized that advancements in science and technology not only strengthen the nation but also inspire the younger generation to strive for national prosperity. The judges praised her, saying: "You explained the importance of the theme 'Rejuvenation of the Nation Through Science and Technology' very well. You conveyed why developing space technology is crucial for China and highlighted the impressive accomplishments achieved so far. You also reminded us of the need to maintain control over technological advancements. Your speech had excellent pacing, and your pronunciation was clear, making it easy for me as an audience member to understand. Keep up the great work!"

6G 谢知益（Grace）：在屏幕前

Xie Zhiyi, Grace, 6G: In Front of the Screen

6G班谢知益同学的演讲中探讨了电视从20世纪30年代进入家庭以来的演变。20世纪50年代，电视是奢侈品；60年代，大多数家庭拥有了电视机，家人围坐一起观看节目；2000年，观众可以随时随地在线观看节目；2010年，年轻人不再依赖传统广播电视，更倾向于在网络上观看节目；现在，人们平均每天花费大量时间在屏幕前，一生中平均有近十年的时间用于观看屏幕。谢知益同学强调，随着技术的发展，使用屏幕的时间不断增加，我们需要认识到这些设备的优缺点，并合理利用它们，以更好地服务于生活。评委点评说：“谢谢你，Grace。你让我了解了人们看电视的历史，真是太棒了。尤其是你播放了这段历史中相关的照片，让我们的认知更加清晰，这非常重要。”

Xie Zhiyi from Class 6G delivered a speech exploring the evolution of television since it entered households in the 1930s. In the 1950s, televisions were considered luxury items; by the 1960s, most families owned a TV, gathering together to watch programs. By 2000, viewers could watch shows anytime and anywhere, and by 2010, younger audiences shifted from traditional broadcast television to online platforms. Today, people spend a significant amount of time in front of screens, averaging nearly ten years of their lives watching them. Xie Zhiyi emphasized that with the development of technology and increasing screen time, it’s essential to understand the pros and cons of these devices and use them wisely to better serve our lives. The judges praised her presentation, saying: “Thank you, Grace. You gave us a wonderful overview of the history of television. It was truly impressive, especially with the relevant photos you included to illustrate this history, making it much clearer for us. That was very important.”

5Y 廖雨澄（Amy）：伟大的科学家——钱学森

Liao Yucheng (Amy), 5Y: The Great Scientist - Qian Xuesen

5Y班廖雨澄同学介绍了著名科学家钱学森的生平和贡献。钱学森1911年出生于上海，从小就对飞机和火箭充满好奇。他在美国留学期间专攻火箭和导弹技术，成为该领域的专家。为了发展中国的航天事业，钱学森放弃了在美国的优越条件，历经艰难于1955年回到中国。1956年，他创立了中国第一个火箭和导弹研究所，并领导了中国火箭和导弹的研发工作，被誉为“中国导弹之父”。廖雨澄认为钱学森勇敢且勤奋，是她最敬佩的科学家。她鼓励同学们努力学习，为国家的未来贡献自己的力量，相信国家会越来越强大。评委表扬廖雨澄：“你做得很好，记住了演讲中所有细节，令人惊叹！你的演讲听起来很自然，因为你把自己真实的想法分享给大家，抓住了钱学森的伟大成就和自己的感受。”

Liao Yucheng from Class 5Y introduced the life and contributions of the famous scientist Qian Xuesen. Born in Shanghai in 1911, Qian was fascinated by airplanes and rockets from a young age. During his studies in the United States, he specialized in rocket and missile technology, becoming an expert in the field. In 1955, in order to develop China’s space program, Qian gave up his comfortable life in the U.S., overcame numerous challenges and returned to China in 1955. In 1956, he established China’s first rocket and missile research institute and led the development of China’s rocket and missile technologies, earning the title of "Father of China’s Missiles." Liao Yucheng considers Qian Xuesen to be brave and diligent, making him her most admired scientist. She encouraged her classmates to study hard and contribute to the country's future, believing that the nation will grow stronger. The judges praised Liao Yucheng, saying: "You did very well, remembering all the details of your speech. Amazing! Your speech sounded natural because you shared your real thoughts with everyone, capturing the greatness of Qian Xuesen’s achievements and your own feelings."

5F 潘昊扬（Oliver）：苏格兰的发明

Pan Haoyang, Oliver, 5F: Inventions from Scotland

5F班潘昊扬同学在国庆节期间随父母一起前往苏格兰博物馆，了解到了苏格兰改变现代社会的十大发明。在演讲中，潘昊扬同学详细为大家介绍了苏格兰的这些重要发明及其对现代社会的影响。这些发明包括：克隆羊多莉、电话、青霉素、MRI机器、自行车、蒸汽机、ATM机、彩色照片、冰箱、电视。这些发明不仅改变了现代生活，也使我们的生活更加便捷和有趣。评委称赞说：“谢谢你精彩的分享，太棒了！就像你开始演讲时说的那样，开眼看世界，你走了出去，带着满满的正能量分享你的见闻。很高兴听到你的演讲，因为我真的很喜欢你的旅程，感谢你把这些知识带回来与我们分享，让我们知道了苏格兰的十大发明，这是人类智慧的结晶。”

Pan Haoyang from Class 5F shared his experience visiting the Scottish Museum during the National Day holiday with his parents, where he learned about the ten inventions from Scotland that have changed modern society. In his speech, Pan introduced these important inventions and their impact on modern life, including: Dolly the cloned sheep, the telephone, penicillin, MRI machines, bicycles, steam engines, ATMs, color photography, refrigerators, and televisions. These inventions have not only transformed modern life but also made our lives more convenient and interesting. The judges complimented him, saying: "Thank you for your wonderful sharing. It was amazing! Just as you said at the beginning of your speech, ‘open your eyes to the world,’ you went out and shared your positive energy with us. It was a pleasure to listen to your speech because I truly enjoyed your journey, and we’re grateful that you brought this knowledge back to share with us. We now know about the top ten inventions from Scotland, which are a testament to human wisdom."

万科双语学校E-talk活动每周举行一次，学生自主报名参与，中文、英文均可，老师将相同或相似主题的演讲者安排在同一期演讲，主旨是让学生做到能说、会说、敢说，善思、善辩、善究。

The E-talk activity of Vanke Bilingual School is held once a week. Students can sign up to participate on their own. Both Chinese and English are accepted. The teacher arranges speakers with the same or similar topics to give speeches in the same period. The purpose is to enable students to be able to speak freely, confidently and bravely; to be good at thinking, debating, and doing research.

E-talk的舞台是开放的，我们欢迎每一位VBS未来少年来到这里，站在聚光灯下，向世界展示自己的独特魅力；我们鼓励孩子们挑战自我，突破困境；我们相信，每一个孩子都有无限的潜力，只要他们有勇气站上舞台，就有可能成为真正的演讲者。

The stage of E-talk is open. We welcome every future teenager of VBS to come here, stand in the spotlight, and show their unique charm to the world; we encourage children to challenge themselves and break through difficulties; we believe that every child has unlimited potential. As long as they have the courage to stand on the stage, they may become real speakers.
