【辩论赛】万双思辨擂台:电子产品,在利弊间舞动的双刃剑 ——万科双语学校家校联合辩论赛精彩上演

万双网讯  随着现代科技的飞速发展,电子产品逐渐走进了孩子们的生活。这种技术的普及犹如一把锋利的双刃剑,在给孩子们带来便利的同时,也暴露出各种问题。为引导学生科学地使用电子产品,提高学生的思辨能力,增进家校交流,深圳龙华区万科双语学校于10月18日早8点在剧场组织家校联合辩论赛。六七年级的学生辩手与家长辩手围绕“学生使用电子产品,利大于弊还是弊大于利”这一主题展开了一场唇枪舌战。六七年级全体师生及部分家长代表现场见证了这场思维碰撞,活动还通过网络直播的形式与更广泛的观众分享。


With the rapid development of modern technology, electronic products have more and more become a part of children’s lives. The widespread use of technology is like a sharp double-edged sword, bringing convenience to children while also exposing them to various issues. To guide students to use electronic products for scientific purposes, enhance their critical thinking skills, and promote communication between home and school, Shenzhen Longhua District Vanke Bilingual School organized a home-campus joint debate competition at 8 a.m. on October 18 in the theater. Students from grades six and seven, along with some parents, engaged in a lively debate around the theme of “Do the benefits of students using electronic products outweigh the drawbacks, or vice versa?” All teachers and students from grades six and seven, as well as some parent representatives, witnessed this clash of ideas, and the event was also shared with a wider audience through live streaming.

辩论赛是万双的一项传统活动,自建校伊始便每年如期举行。与以往不同的是,今年的辩论赛是一项全民参与的活动。此次辩论赛特别面向六年级和七年级学生,他们正处于明辨是非的关键时期,而八年级学生通过ETalk演讲的方式表达观点,其他年级的同学则通过在展板上写观点卡的方式参与其中,使得全校同学都能在展板前交流思想,校园内弥漫着浓厚的思辨气息。


Debate competitions are a traditional activity at Vanke Bilingual School, held annually since the school was established. But unlike previous years, this year’s debate was an event that encouraged full participation from everyone. This competition specifically targeted sixth and seventh graders, who are at a crucial stage in developing their ability to discern right from wrong. Eighth-grade students also expressed their viewpoints through E-Talk presentations, while students from other grades participated by writing opinion cards displayed on boards. This allows all students to exchange ideas, creating a atmosphere of critical thinking on campus.

辩论赛的魅力不仅体现在赛场上的唇枪舌战,其赛前的准备工作同样至关重要。这一过程不仅能培养学生收集资料、整理资料、分析资料的能力,更是对团队精神的一次深刻培养。同时,学校也深知家长在学生使用电子产品过程中扮演着重要的角色。因此,学校通过视频宣讲,将全员参与的理念深植每一位家长心中。本次赛事一经发布,各班学生和家长积极响应,纷纷报名参与,经过了一个多月的资料准备与模拟训练,这场万众期待的辩论赛终于在剧场上演。


The charm of debating lies not only in the verbal sparring on the stage but also in the crucial preparation work beforehand. This process not only cultivates students’ abilities to gather, organize, and analyze information but also deeply fosters team spirit. At the same time, the school is well aware of the important role that parents play in monitoring students’ use of electronic devices. Therefore, the school has encouraged full participation from every parent through video presentations. Once the event was announced, students and parents from each class responded enthusiastically and signed up to participate. After more than a month of preparing materials and conducting mock debates, the highly anticipated debate competition finally took place in the theater.


赛场上,双方一辩进行开篇陈词。正方辩手田濯缨以使用电子产品的必要性和重要性为切入点,他提出:“电子产品给我们提供的便利远大于使用期间所带来的弊端,我们要想站在未来中央,必须拥抱科技。”此番言论赢得了台下观众的阵阵掌声。


On the stage, both sides began with their opening statements. The first speaker from the affirmative side, Tian Zhuoying, stated the necessity and importance of using electronic devices. He explained, “The convenience provided by electronic devices far exceeds the drawbacks of their usage. To stand at the center of the future, we must embrace technology.” This remark earned him rousing applause from the audience.

反方简易同学的立论同样精彩:“电子产品中存在大量不良信息,要正视青少年无法自律从而影响学习的客观事实。”在场的观众们尤其是家长代表们对此表示了强烈的认同,掌声如潮水般汹涌。


The argument presented by the negative side’s speaker, Jianyi, was equally impressive: “There is a significant amount of harmful information in electronic devices, and we must face the objective fact that adolescents struggle with self-discipline, which affects their learning.” The audience, especially the parent representatives, strongly agreed with this statement, and there was a tidal wave of applause.

During the free debate session, all of the debaters exuded confidence and charisma, showcasing the grace and talent of the students at Vanke Bilingual School with their eloquent speaking. They quoted classics, drew from a wide range of references, and engaged in lively exchanges. Proponent debater Jiang Xintong questioned the opposing side’s viewpoints, emphasizing the role of electronic devices in promoting personalized education. Opponent debater Wang Yu responded incisively, demonstrating precise logic and quick thinking, earning enthusiastic applause from the audience.


大众辩手杨紫安针对大家担忧的视力问题进行了回应。她从容地说道:“影响视力的因素很多,我们可以通过控制使用时间、保持正确的坐姿等方式来减轻这些问题,不能因噎废食。”另一位大众辩手郭美妍的母亲对她的话表示赞同,并进一步质疑对方辩手:“你们所引用的资料和数据来源是哪里?”这一质疑赢得了观众的广泛掌声,她还补充说:“我们应该给予孩子更多的信任”。正、反辩手你来我往,妙语连珠,引得场下观众热血沸腾。

She calmly stated, “There are many factors that affect vision, and we can alleviate these problems by controlling the amount of usage time and maintaining a correct sitting posture.” Another public debater, Guo Meiyan’s mother, expressed her agreement with Yang’s remarks and further questioned the opposing debaters, saying, “Where are the sources of the information and data you are citing?” This question garnered widespread applause from the audience. She added, “We should give children more trust.” The back-and-forth exchanges between the affirmative and negative sides were filled with wit and brilliance and stirred the audience.

The audience eagerly posed questions to the debaters on stage, with students and parents actively raising their hands to participate. There were many thoughts and values shared.


在辩论的最后环节,双方结辩进行总结陈词。反方谭凯琳同学从自制力、健康、家庭关系等方面再次重申本组观点:“学生使用电子产品弊大于利”,正方向征同学则提出灵魂质问:“电子产品让我们享受着科技海洋带来的知识与便利,我们是选择做乘风破浪的航海者,还是畏缩不前的岸边观潮人?”这一深刻的质问引发了场下观众的阵阵欢呼。


In the final segment of the debate, both sides presented their concluding remarks. Opponent Tan Kailin reiterated her group’s viewpoint, stating that “the disadvantages of students using electronic devices outweigh the advantages,” highlighting aspects such as self-discipline, health, and family relationships. On the other hand, Xiangzheng, the speaker from the affirmative side, raised a profound question: “Electronic devices allow us to enjoy the knowledge and convenience brought by the ocean of technology. Do we choose to be daring navigators riding the waves, or timid onlookers standing on the shore?” This thought-provoking analogy elicited cheers from the audience.

杨帆校长对本次辩论赛做出了高度评价,她总结讲话中指出,电子产品在现代社会中扮演着重要角色,但其负面影响亦不容小觑。现实生活中确实存在因过度使用电子产品导致的家庭关系紧张、学业受影响、心理问题及健康损害的现象。因此,合理使用电子产品是我们追求的目标,也是本次活动的宗旨。


Principal Yang Fan enthusiastically praised the debaters. In her concluding remarks, she pointed out that electronic devices play an important role in modern society, but their negative impacts should not be underestimated. In real life, there are indeed cases of strained family relationships, academic setbacks, psychological issues, and health problems resulting from excessive use of electronic devices. Therefore, the rational use of electronic products is our goal and the purpose of this event.

At the same time, she issued an initiative to teachers, parents, and students to take the “Guidelines for Student Use of Electronic Devices at Vanke Bilingual School” as a guide for action. Teachers should focus on cultivating students’ digital literacy; parents should not be passive and instead actively take on the responsibility of supervision; students should strengthen their self-discipline, refrain from abusing electronic devices, and accept guidance from guardians and teachers. Everyone should work together to let technology play a positive role and grow together.
