万双网讯  2024年10月21日，梅沙教育深圳万科双语学校2024-2025学年第一学期第8周升旗仪式暨2024奥林匹克周启动仪式及开幕式在学校操场举行。康熙琳同学与董景炎同学担任主持人。

On October 21, 2024, the flag-raising ceremony for the 8th week of the first semester of the 2024-2025 academic year at Meisha Education Shenzhen Vanke Bilingual School was held on the school playground, marking the launch and opening ceremony of the 2024 Olympic Week. Kang Xilin and Dong Jingyan served as the hosts.

在升旗仪式的庄严落幕之后，VBS2024年的奥林匹克周启动仪式正式拉开帷幕。本届奥林匹克周以VBS班级含义以及万双教学理念为核心主题，旨在彰显学校的培养（成长目标）：培养(成为)身体健康、人格健全、学力卓越，具有家国情怀和国际视野，敢于创造美好未来的中国公民。

After the solemn conclusion of the flag-raising ceremony, the launch ceremony of VBS’s 2024 Olympic Week officially commenced. This year’s Olympic Week uses the meaning of the VBS class letters and the Wanshuang teaching philosophy as its core theme, aiming to highlight the school’s developmental goals: to become citizens of China with good physical health, sound personality, excellent academic abilities, patriotism, international vision and the courage to create a better future.

在6E班何翊嘉同学吹奏的《我和我的祖国》那悠扬而激昂的小号声中，各班级的学生代表依次传递着鲜艳的国旗，完美执行了奥林匹克启动仪式的揭幕环节。这一肃穆的仪式不仅体现了同学们的团结与协作精神，也成为了奥林匹克精神世代延续、广泛弘扬的生动标志。

As the melodious and inspiring trumpet sound of “My Country and I” played by He Yijia from Class 6E filled the air, student representatives from various classes passed down the vibrant national flag, perfectly recreating the flag unfolding segment of the real Olympic opening ceremony. This solemn occasion not only embodied the spirit of unity and cooperation of the students but was also a vivid symbol of the enduring and Olympic spirit across generations.

随后，象征“奥运圣火”的火炬开启了一段充满奇幻色彩的旅程。1G班的李国彰同学作为首位火炬手，庄严地擎起火炬，启动了这场意义非凡的传递仪式。紧随其后，来自不同年级的另外8名热爱运动的同学在田径场上接力传递，共同完成了这一庄重的仪式。随着火炬的每一次传递，参与传递的人群日益庞大，最终汇聚成一股强大的力量。最终，火炬传递到达了高潮——本届运动会的主火炬台。在全场的瞩目下，杨帆校长携手火炬手们一同点燃了圣火，象征着奥林匹克精神在万双熠熠生辉。这一刻，不仅点燃了运动的激情，也照亮了学生们坚毅向前的道路，激励着每一位VBS学子在接下来的运动会上以饱满的热情和坚定的意志，追求卓越，勇往直前。

Subsequently, the torch, symbolizing the “Olympic Flame,” embarked on a colorful journey around the track. Li Guozhang from Class 1G, the first torchbearer, solemnly raised the torch, initiating this ceremony’s relay run. Along the way, eight other enthusiastic students from various grades took turns running with the torch on the athletic track, until the solemn ritual was completed. With each passing of the torch, the crowd of participants grew larger, ultimately forming a powerful force. The relay culminated in front of the main Olympic beacon of this year’s sports meeting. Principal Yang Fan, along with the torchbearers, ignited the sacred flame, symbolizing the brilliance of the Olympic spirit at Vanke. At that moment, a passion for sports was ignited, lighting up the path of success for the students and inspiring every VBSer to pursue excellence with full enthusiasm and determination in the upcoming sports meeting.

在致辞中，杨帆校长强调了奥林匹克精神——“更快、更高、更强——更团结”（"Faster, Higher, Stronger, Together"）的深远意义。她指出，这不仅是一句简单的口号，它代表了一种追求卓越、勇于挑战、团结互助的价值观。在她看来，即将到来的奥林匹克周不仅是一个展示个人才能和团队协作的舞台，也是一个促进体育技能交流和加深同学间友谊的盛会。因此，她呼吁同学们认识锻炼身体的重要性，增强对运动的热爱，练习体育技能，培养团队精神，健强体魄，继续为站在未来中央作准备。

In her speech, Principal Yang Fan emphasized the profound significance of the Olympic spirit— “Faster, Higher, Stronger, Together.” She pointed out that this is not just a simple slogan; it represents the value of striving for excellence, daring to challenge oneself, and promoting unity through mutual support. In her view, the upcoming Olympic Week is not only a stage for showcasing individual talents and teamwork but also a grand celebration that facilitates the exchange of sports skills and deepens friendships among students. Therefore, she urged students to recognize the importance of physical exercise, to foster a love for sports, practice their athletic skills, cultivate teamwork, strengthen their bodies, and continue preparing to stand confidently at the center of the future.

当日下午2时，VBS2024奥林匹克周暨第七届田径运动会的开幕式盛大开启。在这一年度的方阵展演中，万双学子以其独有的风范，将学校的教育理念演绎得淋漓尽致。今年的方阵汇演巧妙地将不同年级但班名相同的班级集结一堂，共同绘制出一幅生动的教育图景。他们的入场式主题鲜明且多样化，从科技前沿的运动项目到中华五千年文化的精髓，从洋溢着青春活力的色彩到对未来的无限憧憬与梦想，全方位、多维度地展现了万双学子的体育精神和运动风貌。

At 2 PM that afternoon, the opening ceremony of the VBS 2024 Olympic Week and the 7th Athletics Games commenced. In this year’s parade performance, Vanke students showcased their unique style, vividly embodying the school’s educational philosophy. This year’s parade grouped together classes from different grades with the same letter. Each entrance was characterized by distinct and diverse themes, ranging from cutting-edge technology to the history of 5,000 years of Chinese culture. The colorful display radiated youthful energy and reflected their infinite hopes and dreams for the future, presenting a comprehensive showcase of the sportsmanship and athletics of the students at Vanke Bilingual School.

今天的中国体育运动水平已经从过去对世界的仰视变成了平视。国家一直非常重视全民健康水平的提升，经过多年努力，我们已经跻身体育强国行列。2009年8月国家颁布了《全民健身条例》。今年2月，国家体育总局办公厅印发《2024年群众体育工作要点》，指出，“全面贯彻落实习近平总书记关于体育特别是全民健身工作的重要论述，坚持发展以人民为中心的体育”，唱响“全民健身与奥运同行”主题。所以这届奥林匹克周的主题定为“奥运之光，坚毅向前”。希望同学们坚持锻炼，为全民身体素质进一步提升作出自己的贡献。

Today, the level of sports in China has shifted from looking up at the world to a more even level. The country has always placed great importance on improving the health of all citizens. After years of effort, we have ranked among the strongest sports nations. In August 2009, the government issued the “National Fitness Regulations.” In February of this year, the General Administration of Sport of China released the “Key Points for Mass Sports Work in 2024,” stating, “We must fully implement General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important thoughts on sports, especially on national fitness, and adhere to the development of people-focused sports,” while promoting the theme of “National Fitness Goes Hand in Hand with the Olympics.” Therefore, this year’s Olympic Week is themed “The Light of the Olympics, Persevering Forward.” I hope students will continue to exercise and contribute to the improvement of national fitness.

上一周，我们对电子产品的使用的利弊进行了辩论，大家达成的意见是：电子产品对我们青少年有利有弊，要有节制使用。人工智能对我们的生活影响是广泛而深刻的，比如我们常说“足不出户，搞定一切”，这也是现在很多成年人生活的现实。联系今天开始的奥林匹克周，我希望同学们去思考和关注这个社会现实，认识锻炼身体的重要性，增强对运动的热爱，练习体育技能，培养团队精神，健强体魄，继续为站在未来中央作准备。

Last week, we debated the pros and cons of using electronic devices, and the consensus was that electronic products have both benefits and drawbacks for teenagers, so we should use them in moderation. The impact of artificial intelligence on our lives is both broad and profound; for example, we often say, “You can get everything done without leaving home,” which reflects the reality of life for many adults today. With the start of Olympic Week, I hope students will reflect on and pay attention to this issue, recognize the importance of physical exercise, enhance our love for sports, practice athletic skills, cultivate teamwork, strengthen our bodies, and continue to prepare to stand confidently at the center of the future.
