万双网讯 为提高学生演讲与表达的综合能力,提升学生的中英文综合素养,让孩子站在舞台中央,2024年10月17日下午6时,梅沙教育深圳万科双语学校第28期E-talk活动在学校剧场举行。100余名师生现场聆听了演讲。活动同时面向全校师生直播。
VBS Web News is a program to enhance students’ abilities in public speaking and expression, and to improve their bilingual proficiency in Chinese and English. The 28th E-Talk event at Vanke Bilingual School was held in the school theater on October 17, 2024, at 6:00 PM. Over a hundred teachers and students attended the live speeches. The event was also broadcasted live to all the staff and students of the school.
本次E-talk活动的主题是 “令人惊讶的动物” 。来自一至三年级的6名同学用英文进行了精彩的演讲。同学们分享了 他们与动物有关的奇妙故事。评委老师为同学们的精彩表现做了点评。
The theme of this E-talk event is “Amazing Animals.” Six students from grades one through three delivered wonderful speeches in English. They shared their marvelous stories related to animals, and the judges provided feedback on the students’ impressive performances.

2C 张易易(Dorothy) 同学分享了她与宠物猫Mei Qiu的故事。她讲述了Mei Qiu来到自己的家,家人无一不被Mei Qiu的温顺与教养所折服。她还介绍了妈妈训练Mei Qiu的过程,幽默地分享了自己和哥哥如何争夺宠物“主人权”。整篇演讲强调了家庭的温暖和宠物带来的快乐。评委表扬她的演讲清晰明了,节奏掌握得很好,让人容易理解她讲述的猫咪是如何融入家庭的故事。她热情和关爱的语气为她的演讲增添了温暖。

She described how Mei Qiu came to her home, and how every family member was captivated by Mei Qiu’s gentleness and well-mannered behavior. She also talked about how her mom trained Mei Qiu, humorously sharing how she and her brother competed for “ownership” of their pet. Her speech emphasized the warmth of family and the joy that pets bring. The judges praised her for the clarity of her presentation and her excellent control of rhythm, which made it easy to understand how well the cat integrated into her family. Zhang Jingchun (Millie) from 2D introduced her Ragdoll breed cat, YunBao. She described YunBao not only as being large in size but also gentle and full of love. YunBao taught her about love, patience, and the true meaning of friendship. The entire speech expressed the deep bond between Millie and YunBao, as well as the joy and warmth that her cat brings. The judges praised her, saying, “Your introduction was very engaging and successfully captured the audience’s attention, creating anticipation for what was to come. Your in-depth description of your pet cat shows that you did thorough preparation. The audience could feel your strong affection for YunBao throughout your speech.”

Liu Shufan (Simon) from 2G shared the story of himself and his pet turtle. Although turtles move slowly, they can sometimes have a strong burst of energy. Moreover, his turtle has a cute and silly side, often bumping its head and sometimes biting Simon’s finger if it’s placed on the glass. Simon regards it as a friend. The entire speech showcased the friendship between him and his little turtle, highlighting the joy and interaction in their daily lives. The judges praised him, saying, “Your sense of humor was vividly displayed during your speech, especially when sharing funny moments with the turtle, including photos of feeding it, which kept the audience highly engaged.”

She introduced the biological characteristics of camels, such as their height, long necks, and the function of their humps, while also mentioning the importance of camels on the Silk Road. Through a video segment, she showcased her experience riding a camel in the desert. In conclusion, she encouraged the audience to actively try new things, emphasizing the importance of adventure, knowledge, and personal growth throughout her speech.The judges commented, “Your presentation was both informative and entertaining, effectively keeping the audience’s attention. Additionally, you not only shared your personal experience but also discussed other rich information related to the topic, which is truly impressive. You presented with great confidence. Well done!”

Huang Yixi (Celine) from 3E hopes to become two different animals: a rabbit and a cat. She loves rabbits very much, especially her pet rabbit named Peter, whom she still cherishes even though he is not with her now. Celine also wishes to be a pet cat, imagining how people would care for her, play with her, and shower her with love. The entire speech expressed her affection for pets and her imaginative view of animal life. She explained that dogs are known as man’s best friend because they are loyal and friendly. She even elaborated on her planned daily routine as a dog. She believes that becoming a dog would be a wonderful adventure, allowing her to experience the world through rich sensory perceptions and to feel the love and trust from her family.The judges commented, “Your presentation was well-structured, and the visual aids you used effectively supported your points. Your expression was confident and engaging; you did a fantastic job!”

万科双语学校E-talk活动每周举行一次,学生自主报名参与,中文、英文均可,老师将相同或相似主题的演讲者安排在同一期演讲,主旨是让学生做到能说、会说、敢说,善思、善辩、善究。
The E-talk activity of Vanke Bilingual School is held once a week. Students can sign up to participate on their own. Both Chinese and English are accepted. The teacher arranges speakers with the same or similar topics to give speeches in the same period. The purpose is to enable students to be able to speak freely, confidently and bravely; to improve their thinking, debating, and conducting of research.
