万双网讯  在新学期的开端，8月31日，七年级新生们在校园里迎来了他们的入学仪式。在这个特别的日子里，学生们被鼓励写下自己的梦想，并在全体师生面前大声宣读，随后将这些满载希望的梦想卡片投入信箱，寄往未来，以此激励自己不断前进。

At the beginning of the new semester, on August 31, the seventh-grade newcomers held their enrollment ceremony on campus. On this special day, students were encouraged to write down their dreams and loudly read them in front of all the teachers and students. They then placed these hope-filled dream cards into a mailbox, sending them to the future, as a way to inspire themselves to keep moving forward.

As students transition from primary school to middle school, they will face new opportunities and challenges. To assist parents in better supporting their children's growth, the school has organized a “Parent's First Lesson.”Principal Yang Fan encourages parents to actively seek help in the process of educating their children. Her lecture covers how to cultivate good habits in organizing things by setting expectations, supervising execution, and even demonstrating personally to guide children in developing a good daily routine. She also teaches time management skills, suggesting the creation of schedules to help children establish their “biological clock” and improve their learning and daily efficiency. Moreover, she emphasizes the importance of nurturing a love for reading by promoting parent-child reading and discussions, which facilitate knowledge accumulation and thinking expansion. Finally, she highlights the importance of communication, teaching parents to engage in thoughtful conversations with their children using the right methods and a positive attitude.

To support parents in their efforts to educate their children, the Parent Growth Academy has provided each parent with a copy of the book “Lifelong Growth.” This book is not only a must-read for every teacher at Vanke Bilingual School but also an important tool for parents to understand growth mindset. Through reading, parents can gain a deep understanding of the significance of growth mindset and apply it in their own development as parents and in the education of their children. The growth and transformation of parents can set a positive example for their children, helping to guide them to bravely face various challenges and continuously surpass themselves, thereby providing strong motivation for their children's growth.

G7向前冲活动是一个特别的迎新系列活动，名为“携手向前冲”的团建游戏让孩子们迅速熟络起来。最令人期待的户外活动——“校园寻宝”中，学生们分组在校园内寻找线索，解谜闯关，不仅锻炼了他们的观察力和解决问题的能力，也让他们在探索中熟悉了校园的每一个角落。

The G7 Forward Motion event is a unique series of orientation activities, particularly the team-building game titled “Moving Forward Together，” which helps children quickly become acquainted with one another. The most anticipated outdoor activity, the “Campus Treasure Hunt,” involves students working in teams to search for clues around the campus and solve puzzles. This not only enhances their observation and problem-solving skills, but also allows them to familiarize themselves with every corner of the campus through exploration.

同日下午，1年级的宝贝们也在爸爸妈妈的陪同下兴奋地走进了各自的教室。为了迎接孩子们的到来，教师们匠心独运在教室内巧妙布置了多处惊喜。从温暖舒适的读书角到激发创意的艺术角落每一寸空间都洋溢着探索的诱惑，等待着孩子们的勇敢涉足；每一处角落都散发着知识的气息，期盼着孩子们的用心感悟。

On the same afternoon, the first graders excitedly entered their classrooms, accompanied by their parents. To welcome the children, the teachers thoughtfully arranged several surprises in the classrooms. From the warm and cozy reading corner to the creatively inspiring art nook, every inch of space was filled with the allure of exploration, waiting for the children to bravely step in. Each corner radiated the scent of knowledge, hoping to evoke thoughtful insights from the young learners.

Each new student received a specially designed task card, which served as both a map for their adventure today and an initial step towards integrating into campus life. They successfully completed the tasks of meeting with their homeroom and subject teachers, experiencing the warmth and expectations of their teachers during pleasant interactions. Next, they created self-portraits with the foreign teachers, showcasing their unique selves through the interplay of colors and lines, thus starting their journey of multicultural exchange. Afterwards, they received their textbooks, feeling as if they had been handed the key to knowledge, ready to unlock the door to learning. Meanwhile, the life teachers patiently guided the parents to complete various entry procedures, providing a solid support for the new students’ campus life.

随着任务卡上的一项项任务被完成，孩子们的脸上露出了满足和自豪的笑容。这一天，是他们在VBS成长中的重要一步；在这里，他们将自信走向未来中央。

As each task on their task cards was accomplished, the children’s faces displayed expressions of satisfaction and pride. This day represented a significant milestone in their growth at VBS; here, they confidently moved towards their future.
