万双网讯 2024年 6月24日上午8点，梅沙教育深圳万科双语学校2023-2024第二学期第19周升旗仪式在教室举行。本周升旗仪式由5E、5F班承担。5E班是一个积极乐观、求知向上的班级，5F是一个追求卓越、不断进取的班级。

VBS Net News At 8 a.m., on June 24, 2024, the flag-raising ceremony for the 19th week of the second semester of the 2023-2024 academic year took place in classrooms at Meisha Education Shenzhen Vanke Bilingual School. Classes 5E and 5F were responsible for this week's flag-raising ceremony.Class 5E is a positive, optimistic and inquisitive class,while the 5F is a class that pursues excellence and keeps improving.

升旗仪式由5F班谭凯琳、肖雨欣主持。5E班吴东深、丁子尧同学做了国旗下讲话。他们演讲的题目是《 4Cs批判性思维，沟通、合作与创新 》。 派驻第一书记杨艺娟做了时事热点宣讲。

The flag-raising ceremony was hosted by Tan Kailin and Xiao Yuxin from Class 5F. Students Wu Dongshen and Ding Ziyao from Class 5E gave speeches under the national flag.The speech topic was“Critical Thinking, Communication, Collaboration and  Creativity.”The resident first secretary, Yang Yijuan, delivered a presentation on current affairs.

Good morning，teachers and classmates!

我是来自5E班的吴东深。

I am Dawson，Wu Dongshen from Class 5E. 

我是来自5E班的丁子尧。

I am Eric, Ding ziyao from Class 5E. 

今天，我们演讲的主题是4C--包括批判性思维、沟通、合作与创新。

Our topic for today is about 4Cs--critical thinking, communication,  collaboration and creativity。

批判性思维是一种创造性的反省思维活动，针对所批判的对象进行公证、透彻的理解，创造性的用无争议准则作为标准或依据，对所批判的对象进行审验和评估，最后得出好的判断，这体现一个人解决问题的能力、创造能力。

Critical thinking involves a fair and thorough understanding of the subject being critiqued. It creatively uses indisputable standards as criteria for examination and evaluation of the subject, leading to sound judgments. This reflects an individual's problem-solving and creative abilities.

在AI信息爆炸和知识更新迅速的今天，批判性思维的重要性愈加明显，它还有一个相辅相成的好搭档——那就是沟通与合作，孔子说“听其言而观其行”，与人沟通合作的能力是一种言行合一的能力。

In today's era of information explosion and rapid knowledge updates, the importance of critical thinking has become increasingly important. It also has a complementary partner—communication and collaboration. Confucius said, "Listen to their words and observe their actions." The ability to communicate and collaborate with others is a manifestation of aligning words with deeds.

咱们万双的课程丰富多样，在PBL的过程中我们有倾听、质疑、探究，通过合作、分享、迭代等开展项目式研究，还有各个学科中的小组自主探究、活动实践、舞台上的课本剧展演，E-talk演讲等等，这都很好的锻炼了我们的批判性思维和沟通合作能力。

Our curriculum at VBS is rich and diverse. Through Project based learning , we engage in listening, questioning, and inquiry. There are also group explorations, practical activities, stage performances in various subjects. All these activities greatly enhance our comprehensive abilities.

学无止境，人工智能的到来，对我们来说是全新的挑战也是学习方式变革，让我们用积极的心态去直面挑战，勇于创新，开展好每一次合作探究，做好每一个项目，不断提升自己的综合能力，为“站在未来中央”奠定坚实的基础。

Learning is endless. The advent of AI presents us with new challenges and changes in learning methods. Let’s face these challenges with a positive attitude, be brave in innovation,  complete each project successfully, and continuously improve our comprehensive abilities. This will lay a solid foundation for our goal-"standing at the center of the future."

老师们、同学们好！今天的时事主题是：讲好大运河故事，擦亮中华文化名片。

Hello, teachers and students! Today’s current affairs theme is “Telling the Story of the Grand Canal, Polishing the Cultural Icon of China.”

截至今年6月22日，我国大运河申遗成功十周年。

As of June 22, 2024, it has been the ten-year anniversary of China’s Grand Canal being successfully inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage site.

绵延近3200公里的中国大运河，至今已有2500多年历史，南起浙江，北抵北京，大运河流经8省（市），是世界上开凿最早、规模最大、里程最长的人工河。

Stretching nearly 3,200 kilometers, China’s Grand Canal has a history of over 2,500 years. It starts in Zhejiang in the south and extends to Beijing in the north, flowing through eight provinces and cities. It is the world's earliest, largest, and longest man-made river.

申遗成功十年间，沿岸各地坚持保护、传承和发展的宗旨，造就生机勃勃的景观河、生态河、人文河，让古老的大运河真正成为“人民的运河”。

In the decade since successfully becoming a World Heritage site, various regions along the Grand Canal have adhered to the principles of protection, inheritance, and development. This has transformed the ancient Grand Canal into a vibrant “people’s canal”with thriving scenic, ecological, and cultural landscapes.

“把大运河这篇文章做好。”习近平总书记在浙江考察时的谆谆嘱托寓意深远。党的十八大以来，在以习近平同志为核心的党中央坚强领导下，中国式现代化不断推进和拓展， 迫切要求我们增强文化自信，运用好历史文化资源，更好向世界展示中华文化的独特魅力。

"Let's finish the story of the Grand Canal well." General Secretary Xi Jinping's earnest instructions during his inspection in Zhejiang are profound. Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC), under the strong leadership of the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core, Chinese-style modernization has been continuously advanced and expanded. This urgently requires us to enhance our cultural confidence and make good use of historical and cultural resources to better showcase the unique charm of Chinese culture to the world.

同学们，上一周是六年级的毕业旅行周，同学们分小组自主设计难忘的毕业活动、排练节目、策划毕业结营晚会。身在学校的杨帆校长听说了这次旅行中发生的许多趣闻，身为校长倍感欣慰。万双学子走出去能自信、大方、勇敢地完成一次有意义、有意思的旅行，与大家在学校丰富的课程、活动、PBL和跨学科学习中，创设真实情境所体验和锻炼出来的综合能力息息相关。万小双们走出去能够讲好万双的故事，讲好成长的故事，讲好旅行的故事，为自己点个赞吧。请继续带着这种乐观、自信，去克服更多的困难，去收获更多的成长，一起努力传承和发展中华文化，在未来讲好中国故事，推动中华文化走向世界。

Students, last week was the graduation trip week for the sixth graders. The students designed unforgettable graduation activities, rehearsed programs, and planned a graduation campfire party in groups. Principal Yang Fan, who stayed at school, heard many interesting stories from this trip and felt gratified in her role as the principal. It is closely related to the comprehensive abilities developed through our curriculum, activities, Project-Based Learning (PBL), and interdisciplinary studies at our school that students can confidently, generously, and bravely complete such meaningful and interesting trips. Students went out and told the story of VBS, the story of growth, and the story of travel. Let's give ourselves a thumbs up. Please keep carrying the optimism and confidence, overcoming more challenges and achieving more growth. Together, let's work to inherit and develop Chinese culture, tell China's stories well in the future, and promote Chinese culture to the world.
