万双网讯 2024年5月28日，梅沙教育深圳万科双语学校隆重举行了第四届科学家日活动。这一天，校园内洋溢着浓厚的科学氛围，激发了学生们对科学的热爱和创新灵感。

活动以“让我们对科学永远充满好奇心”为主题，旨在培养学生们的科学兴趣和创新思维，营造尊重科学、热爱科学的校园文化。当天的活动形式多样，精彩纷呈，涵盖了科学家讲座、科学主题沙龙、“我的科学梦&我的科学研究”和“我对世界的100问”四大主题活动。
The event, themed "Let Us Always Be Curious About Science," aimed to cultivate students' interest in science and innovative thinking, and to create a campus culture that respects and loves science. The day's activities were diverse and exciting, covering four major themes: scientist lectures, science-themed salons, "My Science Dream & My Scientific Research," and "100 Questions About the World."

5月20日下午，梅沙教育深圳万科双语学校在学校剧场邀请了中国科学院动物研究所的陈睿博士，为六年级学生举办了一场名为《走进亚马逊丛林》的讲座。陈睿博士多次前往亚马逊丛林进行科学考察，是迄今为止首位深入亚马逊丛林最深处的中国科学家。在讲座中，他分享了在亚马逊丛林中发现的许多极其有趣的生物，如会发光的大型甲虫和感染僵死病的昆虫。他还讲述了经历飞机发动机失灵和直面原始部落等惊险故事。在活动现场，陈睿博士通过生动的讲解和丰富的经历，引发了学生们对科学的热爱和对科学家这一职业的向往。
On the afternoon of May 20, Dr. Chen Rui from the Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, was invited to the school theater of Vanke Bilingual School to give a lecture titled "Into the Amazon Jungle" for the sixth graders. Having embarked on multiple scientific expeditions to the Amazon jungle, Dr. Chen is the first Chinese scientist to delve into its deepest parts. During the lecture, he shared his discovery of many interesting creatures, such as luminescent beetles and insects infected with a zombifying fungus. He also recounted thrilling stories of experiencing engine failure on a plane and encountering indigenous tribes. Dr. Chen's vivid explanations and experiences sparked students' love for science and aspiration to become scientists.

On the afternoon of May 28, VBS hosted the appointment ceremony of the new Deputy Principal for Science, officially appointing Dr. Yuan Hui to the position. In the subsequent lecture titled "The Key to the Future: Scientific Literacy," Dr. Yuan delivered an enlightening science popularization feast for students from grades 1-8.

Dr. Yuan pointed out that in a rapidly developing society driven by artificial intelligence, scientific literacy is key to the future. To become Chinese citizens who are brave enough to create a beautiful future, one needs not only comprehensive qualities such as morality, culture, health, and politics but also profound scientific literacy. Scientific literacy encompasses curiosity, solid professional knowledge, keen perception and imagination, comprehensive analytical ability, and honest expression.

本届科学主题沙龙，VBS邀请了家长与知名企业工作人员担任主讲师，涵盖了人工智能、生命健康、未来科技和生物基因等热门话题，为同学们带来了一场场精彩的专题演讲。其中有邵颖韬主讲的 “聊聊通信的过去、现在和未来！”、樊佳主讲的“AI for Science！”、张焱华主讲的“探索声波！”、 张莉超主讲的“走进基因，探究独一无二生命体的奥秘！”、李瑜琪主讲的“让生物发光的魔法基因！”、王彬主讲的“人工智能，让城市更美好！”，叶飞主讲的“了解最近大热的人工智能技术背后原理！”、袁风球主讲的“探索宇宙起源--氢与健康！”，厉征主讲的“携手AI共建美好世界！”。这些讲座开阔了同学们的科学视野，丰富了科学知识。
In this edition of the science-themed salon, VBS invited parents and employees of well-known enterprises to serve as keynote speakers, covering hot topics such as artificial intelligence, life and health, future technologies, and bio-genetics, bringing a series of fascinating special lectures to the students. These included lectures like "Let's Talk About the Past, Present, and Future of Communications!" by Shao Yingtang, "AI for Science!" by Fan Jia, "Exploring Sound Waves!" by Zhang Yanhua, "Entering the World of Genetics, Investigating the Mystery of Unique Life Forms!" by Zhang Lichao, "The Magic Gene That Makes Organisms Glow!" by Li Yuqi, "Artificial Intelligence, Making Cities Better!" by Wang Bin, "Understanding the Principle Behind the Recently Popular Artificial Intelligence Technology!" by Ye Fei, "Exploring the Origins of the Universe -- Hydrogen and Health!" by Yuan Fengqiu, and "Building a Better World with AI!" by Li Zheng. 5月8日-5月20日，VBS开展了“我的科学梦”主题演讲+Cosplay走秀海选系列活动。通过学生自愿报名、班级初选和年级海选，王栋麟、李陈明壹、郭俊宇、陈媛、彭彦皓、熊梦凡、雷晞嘉、王奕晗、简易、黄子喻等10位同学脱颖而出，成功进入最后的环节——剧场演讲，在剧场舞台中央大声地说出了自己的科学梦，向功勋卓著的科学家们致以了崇高的敬意。魏林泽、佟泽雨、颜振业等20位学生参演了Cosplay走秀。
From May 8 to May 20, VBS launched a series of preliminary events for the "My Science Dream" themed speech plus Cosplay fashion show. Through voluntary student registration, class preliminaries, and grade selection, ten students including Wang Donglin, Li Chenmingyi, Guo Junyu, Chen Yuan, Peng Yanhao, Xiong Mengfan, Lei Xijia, Wang Yihan, Jian Yi, and Huang Ziyu stood out and advanced to the final stage — theater speeches. They spoke loudly about their science dreams in the center of the theater stage, paying high tribute to distinguished scientists. Twenty students, including Wei Linze, Tong Zeyu, and Yan Zhenye, participated in the Cosplay fashion show.

100 Questions About the World
5月15日，全校学生填写“i问卡”，同学们写下了对这个世界的无数疑问，写下了对这个世界无数的好奇。经过老师筛选，选出了15个“i问高频问题清单”。这些问题涉及到我们日常生活中的方方面面，有关于科技、自然、宇宙等方面的问题，比如“梦是怎么回事，怎么形成的？”“海洋中的水是从哪里来的？”“为什么输血不能输和自己血型不符的血？”“有比人脑更精密的机器吗？” ……5月28日上午，从100多名报名学生中挑选出来的优秀“科学传播员”来到各个班级，为同学们答疑解惑。
On May 15, all students filled out "i Question Cards," writing down countless questions and curiosities about the world. After teacher screening, 15 "i Question High-Frequency Question Lists" were selected. These questions touched upon various aspects of our daily lives, including technology, nature, the universe, etc., such as "What are dreams, how are they formed?", "Where does ocean water come from?", "Why can't you receive blood transfusions that don't match your blood type?", "Is there a machine more precise than the human brain?" ... On the morning of May 28, excellent "science communicators" selected from over 100 registered students came to each class to answer questions and solve puzzles.

From May 8 to May 20, teachers from the Information Science Group called on students to conduct small experiments and voluntarily sign up for activities through classroom announcements. With great effort, 14 students including 1I Cai Boyu, He Mu, He Zimu, 1E Kang Xilin, Qi Zixu, 2D Xiao Ruizhe, 2E Su Huayi, 3I Kang Ziqian, Shi Shang, Sun Yiyang, Zheng Xinyu, 4Y Zhang Yaen, 5F Xu Ling, and 8C Luo Zixuan submitted excellent experimental video works. In these experiments, students not only showcased their practical skills but also gained a deep understanding of scientific principles through practice.
