万双网讯 2024年4月22日上午8点，梅沙教育深圳万科双语学校2023-2024第二学期第十周升旗仪式在学校操场举行。本周升旗仪式由8E班、8F班承担。这两个班级团结和睦、积极向上，配合默契，圆满完成升旗仪式。

VBS Net News  At 8:00 am on April 22, 2024, the flag-raising ceremony of the 10th week of the second semester of Mesha Education Shenzhen Vanke Bilingual School on 2023-2024 was held in the school playground. This week's flag-raising ceremony was conducted by Class 8E and Class 8F. The flag-raising ceremony was presided over by Lin Ziheng and Liu Yiling. Li Jiaqi and Xie Yuxuan gave speeches under the national flag. The title of their speech was "Caring about Human Destiny and Creating an Oasis of Life." Yang Yijuan, the first secretary stationed there, gave a lecture on current affairs hot topics .

Dear teachers and students, good morning. The topic of our speech today is "Caring about Human Destiny and Creating an Oasis of Life". At this time, we are gathered to discuss an issue of Paramount importance - Earth Day and its role in protecting the environment. We celebrate this special day on April 22 every year.

世界地球日的历史可以追溯到1970年的美国，到1990年，这一活动已经扩展到140多个国家和地区，联合国将其定为全球性的环保节日。它想提醒我们，尽管文化和地域各异，但我们共同拥有且只有一个地球，需要我们携手保护。

The history of Earth Day can be traced back to 1970 in the United States, and by 1990, the event had expanded to more than 140 countries and regions, and the United Nations designated it as a global environmental day. 作为一名万双学子，我们可以采取一些实际行动：

As a student in VBS, we can take some practical actions:

1．节能减排：我们要养成节约用水、用电的好习惯，比如及时关闭水龙头和电器开关，减少能源的浪费。

First, Energy saving and emission reduction: we should develop the good habit of saving water and electricity, such as turning off the tap and electronic devices in time to reduce energy waste.

2．绿色出行：尽量采用步行、骑自行车或公共交通工具上下学，这样不仅能锻炼身体，还能减少碳排放，保护空气质量。

Second,Green travel: try to walk, bike or take public transportation to and from school, which can not only help exercise, but also reduce carbon emissions and protect air quality.

3．减少一次性用品：我们应该尽量避免使用一次性餐具和塑料制品，减少塑料垃圾的产生。

Third ,Reduce disposable items: We should try to avoid using disposable tableware and plastic products to reduce the production of plastic waste.

4．充分利用每学期的PBL课程，共同探讨关于保护地球的实际行动，用实际行动向身边人宣扬环保理念，增强人们的环保观念。
