The flag-raising ceremony was hosted by Xie Miaoyan from Class 3D and Xia Nianyu from Class 3O. Yin Wei from Class 3D and Luo Shu from Class 3O gave speeches under the national flag. The title of their speech was "Lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets." Yang Yijuan, the first secretary stationed there, gave a lecture on current affairs.

今天，我们站在鲜艳的国旗下，和大家分享对环保主题“绿水青山就是金山银山”的一些想法。人类社会的发展导致环境问题日益严重，环保已成为全球关注的焦点，环保不仅是每个人的责任，也是我们共同的使命。

Today, we stand under the bright national flag and share with you some thoughts on the environmental protection theme "The environment is invaluable asset". The development of human society has led to big problems, environmental protection has become the focus of global attention. It is not only everyone's duty, but also our common goal to protect the environment.

“绿水青山就是金山银山”，这句话深刻地告诉我们，美丽的自然环境就是我们最宝贵的财富。当我们呼吸新鲜空气、喝着甘甜的山泉水、行走在青翠的山地和湛蓝的湖泊间时，我们才会真切地感受到自然赋予我们的珍贵财富。比起暗沉的矿藏和闪闪发光的金银，这些绿水青山才是我们重要的财富。

"The environment is invaluable asset", this tells us that the beautiful nature is our most valuable wealth. When we breathe in the fresh air, drink the sweet spring water, and walk among the mountains and blue lakes, we can truly feel the precious wealth that nature has given us. Compared with the dark deposits and gold and silver, nature is our most important wealth.

与此同时，社会各界都在践行着环保的理念，使环保的意识深入人心。政府鼓励大家乘坐地铁，骑共享单车上下班。企业生产节能减排的产品。超市塑料袋收费。每个家庭进行垃圾分类。

At the same time, the whole society is practicing environmental protection. The government encourages everyone to take the underground and ride shared bicycles. The company produces energy-saving products. Supermarket plastic bag charges. Garbage is sorted for each household.

作为新时代的万双少年，我们也要积极行动起来，从身边小事做起，养成良好的环保习惯。第一，节约用水用电。上室外课时，随手关闭教室的灯源。洗完手后，关紧水龙头。第二，减少使用一次性塑料制品，尽可能使用可重复使用的餐具、水瓶。第三，种植植物，这样有利于净化空气和提供氧气。第四，购买环保产品。选择环保标志的产品，如节能灯泡、有机食品等等。这些看似微不足道的行为，却能汇聚成保护环境的强大力量。

As students in VBS, we must also take action, start from the small things around us, and develop good environmental protection habits. First, save water and electricity. When we have an outdoor class, turn off the lights in the classroom. After washing our hands, turn off the faucet. Second, reduce the use of single-use plastic products, and use reusable water bottles. Third, plant plants, which help clean the air and provide oxygen. Fourth, buy environmentally friendly products. Choose products with eco-labels, such as energy-saving light bulbs, organic food. These seemingly insignificant actions can be combined into a powerful force to protect the environment.

2024年全国两会上周开幕，“两会”即全国人民代表大会和中国人民政治协商会议。今年是第十四届代表的二次会议。

The 2024 National Two Sessions opened last week. The "Two Sessions" are the National People's Congress and the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference. This year is the second meeting of the 14th Congress.

据参考消息网3月8日报道，媒体公布了一批两会热词。

According to a report from Reference News Network on March 8, the media announced a batch of hot words during the two sessions.

第一个：新质生产力。这个词是习近平总书记去年在地方考察时提出的。新质生产力是创新起主导作用，具有高科技、高效能、高质量特征，符合新发展理念的先进生产力质态。

The first one: new productivity. This term was proposed by General Secretary Xi Jinping during his local inspection last year. New quality productivity is an advanced productivity quality in which innovation plays a leading role, has the characteristics of high technology, high efficiency and high quality, and conforms to the new development concept.

第二个：“新三样”。电动汽车、锂电池、光伏产品“新三样”出口增长近30%。这三个行业都有助于推动脱碳。“老三样”指的是家电、家具和服装。
