万双网讯  为提高学生演讲与表达的综合能力，提升学生的中英文综合素养，让孩子站在舞台中央，12月21日上午8时，万科双语学校本学期第五场E-talk活动在学校剧场举行。100余名师生现场聆听了演讲。活动同时面向全校师生直播。

VBS Net News  In order to improve students' comprehensive ability in speech and expression, improve students' comprehensive literacy in Chinese and English, and let children stand at the center of the stage, Vanke Bilingual School's fifth E-talk event this semester was held in the school theater at 8 a.m. on December 21. More than 100 teachers and students listened to the speech live. The event was broadcast live to all teachers and students in the school.

本场E-talk活动以“Growth Mindset” (成长型思维模式)为主题，来自四至五年级的6名同学用英文进行了精彩的演讲。同学们分享了自己对成长型思维模式的理解，讲述了自己的梦想和崇拜的偶像，并表示要坚持不懈，勇于尝试，成长为最好的自己。评委老师为同学们的精彩表现做了点评。

This E-talk event was themed "Growth Mindset". Six students from grades four to five gave wonderful speeches in English.The students shared their understanding of the growth mindset, told about their dreams and idols they admired, and expressed that they should persevere, have the courage to try, and grow into the best version of themselves. The teachers commented on the wonderful performance of the students.

曾思齐: 关注过程比关注结果更重要

Zeng Siqi: Focusing on the process is more important than focusing on the results

4Y班曾思齐（Kiki）同学告诉我们，关注过程比关注结果更重要。她说，假如我们把“I don't really understand this problem.” （我不懂这个问题。）改成I don't really understand this problem yet.” (我还不懂这个问题。）对于那些难题，我们不是不会，而是暂时还没掌握，但总有一天，经过我们的努力，我们能够战胜它。

Zeng Siqi (Kiki) from Class 4Y told us that it is more important to focus on the process than on the results. She said, if we change "I don't really understand this problem." to "I don't really understand this problem yet." For those difficult problems, it’s not that we don’t know how to do it, but we haven’t mastered it yet, but one day, through our efforts, we will be able to defeat them.

张洛浠：不要用固定型思维看待自己

Zhang Luoxi: Don’t look at yourself with a fixed mindset

4I 班张洛浠（Leo）同学用流畅的英语介绍了篮球巨星科比的生平。通过科比从小人物到家喻户晓的故事，告诉大家，如果一个人害怕失败，那么他很有可能就会失败。“我们不能用固定型思维看待自己，而要用成长型思维，相信通过自己的努力，能够克服困难，实现梦想。”

Zhang Luoxi (Leo) from Class 4I introduced the life of basketball superstar Kobe Bryant in fluent English. Through the story of Kobe Bryant from a small person to a household name, he told everyone that if a person is afraid of failure, then he is likely to fail. "We cannot look at ourselves with a fixed mindset, but with a growth mindset. We believe that through our own efforts, we can overcome difficulties and realize our dreams."

文舒缇：敢尝试，你就是最棒的！

5G班文舒缇（Dee）同学分享了什么是成长型思维。她告诉大家，与固定型思维不同，成长型思维模式认为，天赋只是起点，人的才智通过锻炼可以提高，只要努力就可以做得更好。接着，她又用篮球巨星乔丹的经历告诉大家，成功不是天赐的，而是用汗水换来的。所以，不要怕困难，只要自己敢于尝试，你就是最棒的！

Student Shu Ti (Dee) from the 5G class shared what a growth mindset is. She told everyone that unlike the fixed mindset, the growth mindset believes that talent is just the starting point, people's intelligence can be improved through exercise, and as long as they work hard, they can do better.Then, she used the experience of basketball superstar Jordan to tell everyone that success is not given by God, but earned with sweat. So, don’t be afraid of difficulties, as long as you dare to try, you will be the best!

唐艺轩：我想成为一名人工智能工程师

Tang Yixuan: I want to be an artificial intelligence engineer

5F班唐艺轩（Eric）同学分享了自己梦想的职业，成为一名人工智能工程师。他认为，AI技术是当今世界的大势所趋，我们可以利用它更好地造福人类。他认为，想要实现他的梦想并非是容易的事情，需要有强大的运算能力，还要有一颗充满热爱的心。他会继续努力，刻苦钻研，争取实现自己的梦想。

Tang Yixuan (Eric) from Class 5F shared his dream career to become an artificial intelligence engineer. He believes that AI technology is a general trend in today's world, and we can use it to better benefit mankind.He believes that it is not easy to realize his dream. It requires strong computing power and a heart full of love. He will continue to work hard and study hard to realize his dream.

陈沐韬：用珍贵的友谊温暖彼此

Chen Mutao: Warm each other with precious friendship

6G班陈沐韬（Eric）同学分享了友谊带给他的思考。他认为友谊是十分宝贵的，有时候，朋友之间的鼓励的话语，能够改变一个人的轨迹。人与人之间，有着不可分割的关系，我们每个人都是宇宙中的小小个体，但我们能用自己大大的能量，去温暖彼此。因此，不要悲伤，不要烦恼，我们要不断地用成长型思维看待事物，才能享受更美好的人生。

Chen Mutao (Eric) from Class 6G shared the thoughts that friendship brings to him. He believes that friendship is very precious. Sometimes, words of encouragement between friends can change a person's trajectory. There is an inseparable relationship between people. Each of us is a small individual in the universe, but we can use our great energy to warm each other.Therefore, don’t be sad or worried. We must continue to look at things with a growth mindset in order to enjoy a better life.

陈熙文：我的偶像——跑步健将苏炳添

Chen Xiwen: My idol - runner Su Bingtian

6D班陈熙文（Marvin）同学分享了他的偶像——跑步健将苏炳添。他用流利的英语介绍了苏炳添出色的能力。当然了，苏炳添在背后付出了比常人更多的汗水，才能代表今天的“中国速度”。Marvin崇拜苏炳添，他也想成为这样的人，希望能够通过坚持不懈的毅力，克服困难，实现自己的梦想。

Chen Xiwen (Marvin) from Class 6D shared his idol - runner Su Bingtian. He introduced Su Bingtian's outstanding abilities in fluent English. Of course, Su Bingtian worked harder than ordinary people behind the scenes to represent today's "China Speed".Marvin admires Su Bingtian and wants to be such a person. He hopes that through perseverance, he can overcome difficulties and realize his dreams.

This E-talk event fully demonstrated the curiosity, enthusiasm for exploring the diverse world and the improvement of English speaking skills of the children of Vanke Bilingual School. 万科双语学校E-talk活动每周举行一次，学生自主报名参与，中文、英文均可，老师将相同或相似主题的演讲者安排在同一期演讲，主旨是让学生做到能说、会说、敢说，善思、善辩、善究。

The E-talk activity of Vanke Bilingual School is held once a week. Students can sign up to participate on their own. Both Chinese and English are accepted. The teacher arranges speakers with the same or similar topics to give speeches in the same period. The purpose is to enable students to be able to speak freely, confidently and bravely;to be good at thinking, debating, and doing research.

E-talk的舞台是开放的，我们欢迎每一位VBS未来少年来到这里，站在聚光灯下，向世界展示自己的独特魅力；我们鼓励孩子们挑战自我，突破困境；我们相信，每一个孩子都有无限的潜力，只要他们有勇气站上舞台，就有可能成为真正的演讲者。

The stage of E-talk is open. We welcome every future VBS teenager to come here, stand in the spotlight, and show their unique charm to the world; we encourage children to challenge themselves and break through difficulties; we believe that every child has unlimited potential. As long as they have the courage to stand on the stage, they may become real speakers.
