万双网讯 2023年12月18日，万科双语学校2023-2024第一学期第十七周升旗仪式在学校操场举行。本周升旗仪式由2I班承担。2I班是一个朝气蓬勃、团结友爱的班级。

VBS Net News On December 18, 2023, the flag-raising ceremony of the seventeenth week of the first semester of Vanke Bilingual School 2023-2024 was held in the school playground. This week's flag-raising ceremony was undertaken by Class 2I. Class 2I is a vibrant, united and friendly class.

升旗仪式由彭馨媛、张蕴之主持。王贝兮、赵天硕同学做了国旗下讲话。他们演讲的题目是“回归传统节日，感受中华文化”。派驻第一书记杨艺娟老师做了时事热点宣讲。

The flag-raising ceremony was presided over by Peng Xinyuan and Zhang Yunzhi. Wang Beixi and Zhao Tianshuo gave speeches under the national flag. The title of their speech was "Returning to traditional festivals and embrace Chinese culture." The first secretary, Teacher Yang Yijuan, shared some hot topics on current affairs.

亲爱的老师、同学们：大家好！

Good morning, dear teachers and students！

今天我演讲的主题是——“回归传统节日，感受中华文化”。

The topic of our speech today is: Returning to Traditional Festivals, Embracing Chinese Culture.

大家还记得《二十四节气歌》吗？……“春雨惊春清谷天，夏满芒夏暑相连，秋处露秋寒霜降，冬雪雪冬小大寒。” 相信同学们一定非常熟悉。

Do you know the twenty-four solar terms of the traditional Chinese calendar? I believe you all are familiar with the twenty-four solar terms: Start of Spring, Rain Water, Awakening of Insects, Vernal Equinox,Clear and Bright,Grain Rain, Start of Summer, Small Full (Grain), Grain in Ear, Summer Solstice, Minor Heat,Major Heat, Start of Autumn, Limit of Heat, White Dew, Autumnal Equinox, Cold Dew, Frost Descent, Start of Winter, Minor Snow, Major Snow, Winter Solstice, Minor Cold and Major Cold.

那么，大家知道本周五——12月22日是什么节气吗？对了，就是我国24节气中的冬至。据说，这一天阳光恰好直射在地球的南回归线上，北半球开始进入白天最短、夜晚最长的一天。而过了冬至，白天就会每天变长，所以有“吃了冬至饭，一天长一线”的说法。

Do you know what solar term it is this Friday? It is Winter Solstice. On this day, the Sun shines most directly on the Tropic of Cancer，making the daytime in the northern hemisphere the shortest and the nighttime the longest of the year. After this solar term, the daytime gets longer day by day.

在冬至这天，各地存在着不同的风俗习惯。南方一般祭祖、宴饮、吃年糕、吃汤圆，而在北方则大都是吃热乎乎的饺子、喝滚烫的羊肉汤，更有“冬至不端饺子碗，冻掉耳朵没人管”的说法。

On winter solstice, people in different regions of China observe different traditions. In the South, people usually pay respects to their ancestors, have feasts, and eat rice cakes and sweet dumplings; while in the North, it is common to see people eat dumplings and hot mutton soup. There is an old saying in the North,“If you don’t eat dumplings on winter solstice, your ears will get frozen.”

除了冬至，春节、元宵节、清明节、端午节、中秋节……这些富有民族特色的传统节日，历经千年岁月的洗礼，仍然蕴含着丰富的历史和文化的内涵。

Apart from winter solstice, there are many other traditional festivals, such as the Spring Festival, Lantern Festival，Tomb-sweeping Festival, Dragon-boat Festival, Mid-autumn Festival, etc. These traditional festivals, rich in Chinese characteristics, have withstood the test of time and still carry abundant historical and cultural significance.

习近平总书记曾说：中华优秀传统文化是中华民族的精神命脉，是中华文明的智慧结晶和精华所在，是我们在世界文化激荡中站稳脚跟的根基，是我们民族的“根”和“魂”。作为年少一代的我们，时刻都不能忘记自己是“龙的传人”，都要义不容辞地承担起保护、继承和弘扬中华优秀传统文化的历史重任。

President Xi Jinping once said, “China’s outstanding traditional culture is the lifeline of the Chinese people. It reflects the wisdom of the Chinese civilization, and serves as the foundation of the Chinese nation that allows us to stand firm amid other great world cultures. It is the root and soul of our nation.” As young pioneers today，we must keep in mind that we are the future of our nation and we must take upon ourselves the historical responsibility of protecting, inheriting and promoting China’s outstanding traditional culture.

今天的讲话主题是：中国为全球气候治理提供中国智慧和中国方案。

The theme of today’s speech is: China provides Chinese wisdom and Chinese solutions to global climate governance.

同学们，周末突然降温，我们的生活立刻受到了影响。可见天气与每个人日常生活息息相关，这样的变化不太像深圳气候的特点。天气与气候的时间长短不同：天气是短期内的，以天、小时等为单位变化；而气候的周期更长，通常是30年或更长时间，是一段时间内可预测的平均天气。从长远来看，气候对人类生存影响巨大。

Students, the temperature suddenly dropped over the weekend, and our lives were immediately affected. It can be seen that weather is closely related to everyone's daily life, and such changes are not like the characteristics of Shenzhen's climate. The length of time of weather and climate is different: weather is short-term and changes in units of days, hours, etc.; climate has a longer period, usually 30 years or more, and is the predictable average weather over a period of time. In the long run, climate has a huge impact on human survival.

《联合国气候变化框架公约》第28次缔约方大会(简称COP28)12月13日就《巴黎协定》首次达成共识。此次大会事关人类前途命运。

The 28th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP28) reached consensus on the Paris Agreement for the first time on December 13. This conference is related to the future and destiny of mankind.

国际气象组织称，今年是人类历史上最热的一年。全球冰川、雪山、海洋发生剧变，给全世界带来各种灾难，比如干旱缺水、山洪暴发、流离失所、粮食危机、经济损失、动物死亡等。

本次气候大会上，焦点问题包含：淘汰化石能源、提高可再生能源产能、筹集资金帮助发展中国家适应气候变化、全球互联互通实现能源转型。

The International Meteorological Organization says this year is the hottest in human history. Dramatic changes in global glaciers, snow-capped mountains, and oceans have brought various disasters to the world, such as drought and water shortages, flash floods, displacement, food crises, economic losses, and animal deaths. At this climate conference, the focus issues include: phasing out fossil energy, increasing renewable energy production capacity, raising funds to help developing countries adapt to climate change, and achieving energy transformation through global interconnection.

中国在应对气候危机上的贡献受到诸多肯定：比如在二氧化碳排放强度、新能源汽车产销量、深入推进能源革命、供应光伏设备等方面的数据有目共睹。中国共建“一带一路”倡议是很好的示范。中国通过分享专业知识、提供资金和技术支持等，为全球能源转型提供中国方案和中国智慧。

China's contribution to addressing the climate crisis has been recognized in many ways: for example, the data on carbon dioxide emission intensity, new energy vehicle production and sales, deepening the energy revolution, and supply of photovoltaic equipment are obvious to all. China's joint construction of the "Belt and Road" initiative is a good example. China provides Chinese solutions and Chinese wisdom for the global energy transformation by sharing professional knowledge, providing financial and technical support, etc.

习近平总书记在《党的二十大报告》中指出，中国式现代化是人与自然和谐共生的现代化。同学们，作为负责任的发展中大国的公民，应树立伟大的目标。如何应对全球气候变化危机，可作为PBL项目开展初步探索。也许在未来，你能运用跨学科的知识创造性地贡献更多的中国智慧、中国方案，造福全人类。

General Secretary Xi Jinping pointed out in the "Report to the Twentieth National Congress of the Communist Party of China" that Chinese-style modernization is a modernization in which man and nature coexist harmoniously. Students, as responsible citizens of a large developing country, we should set great goals. How to deal with the global climate change crisis can be initially explored as a PBL project. Maybe in the future, you can use interdisciplinary knowledge to creatively contribute more Chinese wisdom and Chinese solutions to benefit all mankind.
