万双网讯  既要读万卷书，也要行万里路。7月16日至8月6日，万科双语学校9名同学搭乘前往加拿大多伦多的航班，开启了为期21天的加拿大研学之旅。9月20日下午，同学们在学校剧场向五到九学段的同学分享了此行的所见所闻所感。他们用精彩的视频、照片和演讲为同学们打开了一个全新的世界，展示了此行丰盛的收获。

From July 16 to August 6, nine students from Vanke Bilingual School took a flight to Toronto, Canada, and embarked on a 21-day study trip to Canada. On the afternoon of September 20, the students shared what they saw, heard and felt during the trip to students in grades five to nine in the school theater. They used wonderful videos, photos and speeches to open up a whole new world for the students, showing the rich harvest of this trip.

关于小镇

About the town

我们研学的地点是加拿大安大略省布罗克维尔（Brockville）的Fulford Academy。布罗克维尔沿圣劳伦斯河而建，小镇上多为本地人，基本见不到亚洲人。这里的人很随和，只要和你眼神对视，他们都会对你微笑。圣劳伦斯河的河水很清澈，河对面就是美国，隔河相望。布罗克维尔生态环境保护得非常好，人们时时刻刻徜徉在大自然的怀抱中。

The location of our study is Fulford Academy in Brockville, Ontario, Canada. Brockville is built along the St. Lawrence River. Most of the town is local, and there are basically no Asians. The people here are very easy-going and will smile at you as long as they look into your eyes. The water of the St. Lawrence River is very clear, and the United States is across the river. The ecological environment of Brockville is very well protected, and people roam in the embrace of nature all the time.

我们每天学习的地方是Fulford Academy。这是一所国际高中，接收6年级到高中学生。每个班级7-8人左右，老师可以关注和照顾到每个学生。Fulford学校不大，这也是国外大部分学校的特征。

Fulford Academy is where we study every day. This is an international high school that accepts students from grade 6 to high school. There are about 7-8 students in each class, so teachers can pay attention to and take care of every student. Fulford School is not big, which is also a characteristic of most schools abroad.

上午的课程内容基本由ESL、Science、Art、STEM+A组成。关于STEM+A课程，Cody老师会布置给我们一个主题，让我们去发散思维、做思维导图、完成任务单和汇报，或利用ART课等进行动手实践，最后通过实践检验或汇报来获得评价等级。

The course content in the morning basically consists of ESL, Science, Art, and STEM+A. Regarding the STEM+A course, Teacher Cody will assign us a theme, allowing us to divergent thinking, make mind maps, complete task sheets and reports, or use ART classes for hands-on practice, and finally get evaluation through practical tests or reports. grade.

关于最重要的三餐，我们都是自助式的。早餐基本上是炒蛋、煎蛋、煎培根、煎香肠、烤面包、炸薯角、还有鸡肉粥。午餐基本上是加拿大当地的食物，比如汉堡、意面、炸薯条、烤鸡腿、烤大火腿肉等。晚餐学校会为我们准备类似中餐的食物，比如炒饭、烤肉、煎饺等。除此之外，餐厅的公共区域会摆放酸奶、水果、小零食、小糕点、麦片，冰箱里有牛奶、可乐，还有饮料机，供我们全天随时食用。

Regarding the most important three meals, we all have buffet style. Breakfast is basically scrambled eggs, fried eggs, fried bacon, fried sausages, toast, fried potato wedges, and chicken porridge. Lunch is basically local Canadian food, such as burgers, pasta, French fries, grilled chicken legs, grilled ham, etc. The dinner school will prepare food similar to Chinese food for us, such as fried rice, barbecue, fried dumplings, etc. In addition, yogurt, fruits, snacks, pastries, and cereals will be placed in the public area of the restaurant. There are milk, cola, and beverage machines in the refrigerator for us to eat at any time throughout the day.

下午，大部分活动都在圣劳伦斯河、千岛湖等地开展。圣劳伦斯水系对于美国和加拿大的地理和经济都有着重要作用。在圣劳伦斯河，我们会进行疯狂跳水、游泳。在原生态的自然环境中，野餐、秋千、草地飞盘、丛林探索等活动让我们收获了无数的快乐，至今向往。

In the afternoon, most activities were carried out in places such as the St. Lawrence River and Thousand Islands. The St. Lawrence Water System plays an important role in the geography and economy of the United States and Canada. In the St. Lawrence River, we do crazy diving and swimming. In the original natural environment, picnics, swings, grass Frisbee, jungle exploration and other activities gave us countless happiness, which we still yearn for.

在加拿大的校外活动中，我们去了加拿大首都渥太华、古城the Upper Canada Village、军事重点城市金士顿、经济文化中心多伦多、还有世界三大瀑布之一的尼亚加拉瀑布。尼亚加拉瀑布位于加拿大安大略省和美国纽约州的交界处，瀑布源头为尼亚加拉河，主瀑布位于加拿大境内，是瀑布的最佳观赏地。

During extracurricular activities in Canada, we went to the Canadian capital of Ottawa, the ancient city of the Upper Canada Village, the military-focused city of Kingston, the economic and cultural center of Toronto, and Niagara Falls, one of the three largest waterfalls in the world. Niagara Falls is located at the junction of Ontario, Canada and New York State, the United States. The source of the waterfall is the Niagara River. The main waterfall is located in Canada. It is the best place to watch the waterfall.

除了以上的景点参观，我们的活动都在Down Town Centre，比如说在Walmart和Dollarama疯狂买薯片、泡面、可乐、巧克力、玩具等。薯片和巧克力是真的好吃。在Down Town Centre 的水族馆里，我们也玩得很开心。因为工作人员会陪同我们感受摸海星、乌龟等动物，这里面还有河狸表演。在这里，我们能真心感受到工作人员对动物和大自然的热爱和保护。

In addition to visiting the above attractions, our activities were all in Down Town Center, such as going crazy to buy potato chips, instant noodles, cola, chocolate, toys, etc. at Walmart and Dollarama. Potato chips and chocolate are really delicious. We also had a lot of fun at the aquarium in Down Town Center. Because the staff will accompany us to touch starfish, turtles and other animals, there will also be a beaver performance. Here, we can truly feel the staff's love and protection for animals and nature.

2023年9月20日下午，我们在学校剧场为五到九学段的学生进行了研学分享，我们分享的主题是“学在旅途、乐在其中”。我们认真准备照片，编辑视频，制作PPT，编写分享稿，极力把研学中最有意思的部分、最真实的体验分享给大家。

On the afternoon of September 20, 2023, we conducted a study sharing for students in grades five to nine in the school theater. The theme of our sharing was "Learning on the Journey and Enjoying It". We carefully prepared photos, edited videos, made PPTs, and wrote sharing notes, trying our best to share the most interesting parts and the most authentic experiences during the study with everyone.

从2023年7月16日至8月6日，在加拿大研学的每一天，我们礼貌大方、自信独立、团结包容，展示了万小双的魅力，无论从礼仪或是学习，老师们都说我们做到了最棒！
