万双网讯  2023年5月29日，万科双语学校2022-2023第二学期第十七周升旗仪式在学校操场举行。本周升旗仪式主持由5F班和5G 班共同承担。5F班是一个团结友爱、积极向上的班级，5G班是一个努力拼搏、坚毅创新的班级。

VBS Net News  On May 29, 2023, the flag-raising ceremony for the seventeenth week of the second semester of 2022-2023 Vanke Bilingual School was held in the school playground. 升旗仪式由5F班的刘思妤同学和5G班的熊墨澜同学主持。5F班李一翀同学和5G班陈沐韬同学做了国旗下讲话。他们演讲的题目是《远离毒品，健康成长》。派驻第一书记杨艺娟老师做了时事热点分享。

The flag-raising ceremony was presided over by Liu Siyu from class 5F and Xiong Molan from class 5G. Li Yichong from 5F class and Chen Mutao from 5G class gave speeches under the national flag. The topic of their speech was "Stay Away from Drugs and Live a Healthy life.”Teacher Yang Yijuan, the first secretary, shared current affairs.

我们今天演讲的题目是：远离毒品，健康成长。

The topic of our speech is: Stay away from drugs and live a healthy life.

公元1839年6月３日，我们应该永远记住这个日子，因为这一天，钦差大臣林则徐在广东省东莞市虎门镇集中销毁鸦片。这一天，英雄林则徐为维护民族尊严、保护广大群众、反抗外来侵略谱写了一曲壮丽乐章！

We should remember a very special day-- the 3rd of June, 1839 BC. On that day, our hero Mr. Lin Zexu concentrated the destruction of opium in Humen, Dongguan City. He composed a magnificent movement to safeguard national dignity, protect the masses, and resist foreign aggression!

寒假期间，电视剧《狂飙》热播，剧中热血、正直的刑警安欣一角深入人心。安欣并非虚构，原型是千千万万的平凡的扫黑和缉毒英雄。在此我们致敬那些守护着广大人民的“安欣”们！在众多影视剧中，我们不难了解到毒品的危害是多么大。生命，是世界上最重要、最珍贵的东西；而毒品，是“吞食”生命的魔鬼。万千林则徐、安欣这样的英雄守候着我们，我们是多么幸福啊！在此我们呼吁大家：远离毒品，健康成长。

Have you watched a TV series called "Heroes of anti drugs"last winter holiday? It was very popular at that time. In the series, An Xin, a brave police officer deeply impressed us. His prototype is a microcosm of countless criminal police in charge of anti-crime crackdown and anti drugs. They are real heroes. They dedicated to our safe living environment. We really appreciate to their hard work!From the series, we learned about the dangers of drugs, which could ruin one’s whole life. Anti drugs is a lasting work for hundreds of years.

1987年12月第42届联合国大会通过决议，决定把每年的6月26日定为“国际禁毒日”。目前我国登记在册的吸毒人员中，青少年所占比例高达86.3%，其中最小的远不到10岁。青少年吸毒已成为一个严重的社会问题，青少年正成为新型毒品的受害者。

In December 1987, the 42nd General Assembly of the United Nations adopted a resolution to designate June 26 as the "International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking". At present, the proportion of registered drug users in China is as high as 86.3%, and the youngest users are as young as 10 years old. Adolescent drug use has become a serious social problem, and teenagers are becoming victims of new types of drugs.

“吸毒一口，掉入虎口”。一个个娇小的身影因为毒品而日渐憔悴，一张张年青的面孔因为毒品而无比苍白。党和国家本着对未成年人的高度关怀，提出了“禁毒宣传，要从娃娃抓好”的号召。

Sipping drugs caused petite figures with pale faces. Based on a high level of care for minors, Chinese government has put forward the call that we should start drug control propaganda from children".

联合国近日警告说，随着温室气体和厄尔尼诺现象共同导致气温飙升，几乎可以肯定，2023至2027年将是有记录以来最热的五年。

The United Nations has warned in recent days that 2023-2027 will almost certainly be the warmest five years on record as greenhouse gases and El Niño combine to drive temperatures soaring.

科普一下：厄尔尼诺暖流，是太平洋一种反常的自然现象，其显著特征是赤道太平洋东部和中部海域海水出现显著增温。

Facts: El Niño warm current is an abnormal natural phenomenon in the Pacific Ocean. Its notable feature is the significant warming of seawater in the eastern and central equatorial Pacific Ocean.

世界气象组织表示，全球升温将对人类健康、食品安全、水资源管理和环境产生深远影响。比如近期相关报道：气候变化将给德国造成9000亿欧元经济损失；印度高温使电力需求引发能源危机；意大利花卉收成下降三分之一；索马里长时间干旱导致约4.3万人死亡；中国多地发布高温预警可能威胁到电力供应、农作物生长和经济发展。

According to the World Meteorological Organization, global warming will have profound impacts on human health, food security, water resource management and the environment. For example, recent related reports: Climate change will cause economic losses of 900 billion euros to Germany; India’s high temperature will cause power demand to trigger an energy crisis; Italy’s flower harvest will drop by one-third; Somalia’s prolonged drought will cause about 43,000 deaths; Heat warnings could threaten power supplies, crop growth and economic development.

对于个体而言，高温会引发热衰竭症状，还可能会影响大脑的思考。所以老师、同学们注意防暑、防晒、多喝水，也要避免在高温下作出糟糕的判断。

For individuals, high temperatures can trigger symptoms of heat exhaustion and may also affect the brain's thinking. Therefore, teachers and students should pay attention to heatstroke prevention, sun protection, drink plenty of water, and avoid making bad judgments in high temperatures.

面对全球变暖的压力，人类该怎么办呢？

Facing the pressure of global warming, what should human beings do?

一是有科学家提出建立太空遮阳伞，挡住2%的太阳光，但工程庞大，也非常昂贵，需要全人类合作。

One is that some scientists proposed to build a space parasol to block 2% of the sunlight, but the project is huge and expensive, requiring the cooperation of all human beings.

二是研究人员建议使用石墨烯材料，这是一种未来的革命性纳米材料，安装到车内可以通过使用少量的氢气来提供动力。

The second is that the researchers suggest the use of graphene material, a future revolutionary nanomaterial that can be installed in the car to provide power by using a small amount of hydrogen.

三是人造树，准确说是二氧化碳捕获器，可放置在车流主干道或不适宜种树的地区。

The third is artificial trees, which are carbon dioxide capture devices to be precise, and can be placed on main roads with traffic or in areas where tree planting is not suitable.

还有比较有趣的研究是让绵羊吃海藻，可减少甲烷排放。还有研究说对抗全球变暖的秘密武器竟然是鲸鱼，它能带走大量的二氧化碳。

Another interesting study is that letting sheep eat seaweed can reduce methane emissions. There are also studies that say the secret weapon against global warming turns out to be whales, which can remove large amounts of carbon dioxide.

党的二十大报告提出“科技是第一生产力、人才是第一资源、创新是第一动力”。同学们，我们上周三是第三届科学家日，热爱科学的同学们展现了脑洞大开的科学思维能力。针对全球变暖危机，相信万双的同学们未来一定能探索出更有效更创新的应对办法。我们日常能做的就是绿色出行、植树造林，带动大家直到达成社会共识，为实现人与自然和谐共生的中国式现代化一起过低碳生活吧！
