万双网讯  2023年4月24日，万科双语学校举办2022-2023第二学期第十二周升旗仪式。本周升旗仪式主持由5E班和5I班承担。5E班是一个活泼开朗、积极进取的集体，5I班是一个乐观向上、团结友爱的集体。

VBS Net News  On April 24, 2023, Vanke Bilingual School held a flag-raising ceremony for the twelfth week of the second semester of 2022-2023. Classes 5E and 5I hosted the flag-raising ceremony this week. Class 5E is a lively, cheerful, aggressive group, and class 5I is an optimistic, united and friendly group.

升旗仪式由5E班的蒋欣彤和5I班的王禹骁主持。5E班杨雨秋和5I班王辰铭做了国旗下演讲。他们演讲的题目是《让青春在劳动中闪光》。派驻第一书记杨艺娟老师做了时事热点分享。

The flag-raising ceremony was presided over by Jiang Xintong from Class 5E and Wang Yuxiao from Class 5I. Class 5E Yang Yuqiu and Class 5I Wang Chenming gave speeches under the national flag. The topic of their speech was "Let Youth Shine in Hard Work". Teacher Yang Yijuan, the first secretary of the station, shared current affairs.

今天我们国旗下演讲的主题是《让青春在劳动中闪光》。

The topic of our speech under the national flag today is " Let Youth Shine in Hard Work".

生命因为勤劳而美丽，劳动创造了人类本身。人类从亘古的荒原里，走进这高楼林立、电光闪烁的信息时代。如果没有劳动，便没有这一切!

Life is beautiful because of hard work. Without hard work, it is impossible for human beings to enter such an information age with towering buildings and flashing lights from the ancient wilderness.

五一国际劳动节，是全世界劳动人民的节日。在我们身边，每天都会看到许许多多勤劳的人们。有将城市打扫得干净整洁的清洁工，守护校园安全的保安叔叔，保障我们生活的后勤工作者，辛勤培育我们的老师……这些劳动者在他们的岗位上恪尽职守，为我们的生活、学习提供便利和帮助，他们是最美的人。

May Day, the international worker’s day, is a holiday for working people around the world. We see many hardworking people every day around us. We see the sanitation workers who make the city clean and tidy, the securities who safeguard our campus, the logistics staffs who serve our lives, and the diligent teachers who impart knowledge to us.These workers work so hard in their positions to facilitate and help us live and study better. They are so-called “the most beautiful people”.

习近平总书记在全国教育大会上明确指出，把劳动教育纳入社会主义建设者和接班人的总体要求，构建德智体美劳全面培养的教育体系。炒一盘小菜，养一盆绿植，做一个手工，丰富有趣的劳动课让许多同学变成了生活的高手，同学们在一菜一饭、一针一线中体会劳动带来的欢乐。没有挥洒过劳动的汗水，没有体会过劳动的艰辛，就很难真正理解劳动的内涵、珍视劳动的价值。

President Xi Jinping pointed out at the National Education Conference that labor education should be incorporated into the overall requirements for raising generations who are well-prepared to join the socialist cause, and to build an education system that ensures the well-rounded development of students in terms of moral grounding, intellectual and physical ability, aesthetic sensibility, and work skills. We cook dishes, plant flowers and make handicrafts in interesting labor lessons, which make many of us housework experts. We experience the joy brought by labor in a meal, a needle and a thread. It is difficult to understand the meaning of hard work and value it without really experiencing the hardship of it.

美德在劳动中产生。作为学生，首先，我们应当牢记自己的学习使命；其次，我们要养成爱劳动的好习惯；再次，我们要尊重每一位劳动者并学会珍惜劳动成果。同学们，一起行动起来吧！让我们做热爱劳动、热爱生活，用劳动创造美好生活的发光少年！

我是第一书记杨艺娟老师，今天的时事主题是：写好中国汉字 增强文化自信。

I am teacher Yang Yijuan, the first secretary, and the theme of today's current affairs is: write Chinese characters well to enhance cultural confidence.

同学们，大家都听说过孔子学院吧？孔子学院是中外合作建立的非营利教育机构，致力于增进世界各国(地区)人民对中国语言文化的了解，促进世界多元文化发展，构建和谐世界。2004年，全球首家孔子学院在韩国首尔正式设立。截至2018年12月，中国已在154个国家和地区建立548所孔子学院和1193个中小学孔子课堂。

Students, have you all heard of the Confucius Institute? The Confucius Institute is a non-profit educational institution jointly established by China and foreign countries. It is committed to enhancing the understanding of Chinese language and culture among people from all over the world (regions), promoting the development of multiculturalism in the world, and building a harmonious world. In 2004, the world's first Confucius Institute was officially established in Seoul, South Korea. As of December 2018, China has established 548 Confucius Institutes and 1,193 Confucius Classrooms in primary and secondary schools in 154 countries and regions.

2010年，联合国将中国传统二十四节气之一的“谷雨”日定为“联合国中文日”。2023年的“谷雨”日是4月20日。联合国中文日庆祝活动4月18日在位于法国巴黎的联合国教科文组织总部举办。活动旨在展示中文语言魅力，增进文明交流互鉴。

In 2010, the United Nations designated "Grain Rain", one of the traditional Chinese solar terms, as "United Nations Chinese Language Day". The "Grain Rain" day in 2023 is April 20. The United Nations Chinese Language Day celebration was held at the UNESCO Headquarters in Paris, France on April 18. The purpose of the event is to showcase the charm of the Chinese language and enhance exchanges and mutual learning among civilizations.

为庆祝2023年“国际中文日”，约旦安曼TAG孔子学院联合教学点以线上线下相结合的方式举办了系列庆祝活动。在主题中文课上，外国的学生们在老师的带领下，了解了中国传统文化二十四节气之谷雨、仓颉造字的传说、在谷雨这天设立“国际中文日”的缘由等，积极参与甲骨文与简体字对应匹配、读绕口令、词语接龙等多个趣味游戏；在书法课上，不少学生在课堂上感叹“中国汉字真的太神奇了！”在古诗诵读中，学生们在老师的带领下大声诵读，并身着汉服进行表演。学生们还体验了吹墨画、剪纸等中国民间传统艺术，进一步感受中华文化的魅力。

To celebrate the "International Chinese Language Day" in 2023, the joint teaching site of TAG Confucius Institute in Amman, Jordan held a series of celebration activities in a combination of online and offline ways. In the themed Chinese class, under the leadership of the teacher, foreign students learned about Grain Rain in the twenty-four solar terms of traditional Chinese culture, the legend of Cangjie’s creation of characters, and the reason for setting up the "International Chinese Day" on Grain Rain, etc., and actively participated Matching oracle bone inscriptions and simplified Chinese characters, reading tongue twisters, word solitaire and other interesting games; in calligraphy class, many students exclaimed in class, "Chinese characters are really amazing!"In the recitation of ancient poems, under the leadership of the teacher, the students read aloud and performed in Hanfu(Han-style clothing). The students also experienced traditional Chinese folk arts such as ink-blowing painting and paper-cutting, and further felt the charm of Chinese culture.

党的二十大报告指出，推进文化自信自强，铸就社会主义文化新辉煌。万双上个月举行的神话节就是对中华文化的深情致敬，内容丰富、精彩纷呈。希望同学们以热爱中国汉字、勤奋练好中国汉字为基础，学习更多中华文化，让中华优秀传统文化在你我的手中继续闪耀，让中华优秀传统文化在世界上千年不朽。

The report of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China pointed out that promoting cultural self-confidence and self-improvement will create new brilliance for socialist culture. The Mythology Festival held by VBS last month is an affectionate tribute to Chinese culture, with rich and exciting content.
