万双网讯  2022年5月23日，万科双语学校举办2021-2022第二学期第15周升旗仪式。本周升旗仪式主持由4I班和4O班共同承担。4I班是一个包容有爱，积极向上的集体。4O班是一个阳光乐观、充满活力的集体。

On May 23th, 2022, Vanke Bilingual School held the flag raising ceremony in the 15th week of the second semester 2021-2022. The flag raising ceremony of this week was presided over by Class 4I and Class 4O. Class 4I is an inclusive, loving and positive group. Class 4O is an optimistic and energetic group.

升旗仪式由4O班的肖羽涵和赵香涵主持。4I班的简易和林上懿进行了国旗下讲话。他们演讲的题目是《让关爱的阳光照亮残疾人的心灵》。5月24日是万科双语学校“科学家日”，杨帆校长做了“科学家日”主题演讲。

The flag raising ceremony was presided over by Xiao Yuhan and Zhao Xianghan from Class 4O. Jian Yi and Lin Shangyi from Class 4I gave a speech under the national flag. The topic of their speech is “Let the Caring Illuminate the Hearts of the Disabled”. Principal Yang Fan gave a speech on “Scientists’ Day”.

尊敬的老师，亲爱的同学们:

大家早上好!我是4I班的简易。今天我演讲的主题是《让关爱的阳光照亮残疾人的心灵》。

Dear teachers and schoolmates, good morning. I’m Alfred Lin from 4I. Today, my topic of the speech is Let the caring illuminate the hearts of the disabled.

同学们，你们知道5月21日是什么日子吗?对大多数人来说，这是一个平平常常的一天。而对残疾人来说，这一天是一个特殊的日子。1990年12月28日第七届全国人民代表大会常务委员会审议通过《中华人民共和国残疾人保障法》规定，每年五月的第三个星期日为“全国助残日”。

My fellow schoolmates, do you know what day the May 21st is ? It’s a very ordinary day for most people. But for the disabled, it’s a special day. On December 28, 1990, it was passed, by the Standing Committee of the Seventh National People's Congress, the Protection Law of the Disabled of PRC, that ‘the third Sunday of May every year is our Day of Supporting the Disabled’.

每个人从诞生的那一刻起，就开始了自己独特的人生历程。同学们，我们都该感到庆幸，因为我们耳聪目明，能看见这蔚蓝的天空，听到那万物的生息;因为我们四肢健全，能写出娟秀的字迹，能驰骋在宽阔的操场。当我们享受着美好生活时，你可知道，这个世界还有许许多多的人没有体验过这些美好。他们是社会中的弱势群体，也是需要我们共同去关爱的残疾人朋友。

Every people starts his own unique course of life since his birth. Our fellow students, we should all be grateful, because we can see the blue sky, listen to the vivid world; as we have our hands and legs, we can write beautiful handwriting, we can scamper…or run for our goals on the playground. While we are enjoying the wonderful life, do you know that there are quite a lot of people in the world who couldn’t yet experience that. They are the vulnerable groups in the society, who need our love and care - our disabled friends.

对残疾人来说，肢体上的残缺既成事实，无法改变。但在他们中有许多人身残志坚，以超越极限的努力，在黑暗中体味光明，在无声中感受音律，在残缺中追求完美。

For the disabled, bodily mutilation is an unalterable fact. But for many of them, they have strong mind despite physically-handicapped. With their limit-challenging effort, they are to sense lightness in darkness, to feel the rhythm in silence, to pursue perfection from imperfection.

在北京冬残奥会越野滑雪男子中距离（自由技术）站姿组比赛中，王晨阳一马当先，夺得金牌，这是他个人在冬残奥会上收获的第一枚金牌。这名2002年出生的河北小将拿到了1金1银的好成绩，不少人称呼他为冬残奥赛场上的“无臂飞人”。谈及取得突出成绩的原因，王晨阳说，教练员的引导很重要，同时团队氛围很好，队友之间互相打气。

At the Beijing Winter Paralympics Game, Wang Chenyang won the first gold medal in the man's cross-country middle distance competition, which is also his first personal gold medal at the Game. This 2002-born Hebei kid finally achieved 1 gold and 1 silver medal, Some people give him a nickname "armless flying man" of the Paralympics. When asked about his accomplishments, Wang expressed his thanks towards the guidance of his coaches; and he said also, the team-spirit had been good, and the team-mates encouraged each other.

同学们，关爱和鼓励能够让人获得鼓舞，积蓄能量，成就一番事业。勿以善小而不为，你的一个小小的关爱和鼓励，对于残疾人朋友更是意义非凡！

Our fellow students, love and encouragement can inspire people, build energy and lead to accomplishment. A little kindness, care and encouragement of yours would mean a lot to the disabled friends!

当他坐着轮椅艰难地爬着斜坡时，在背后轻轻地帮他推一下；在他拄着盲杖要撞到障碍物时，提醒他一下或者把障碍物挪开；在公交、地铁上给他们让个座位；在他们比划着手语交流时，给他们一个鼓励的微笑。你的一个小小的举动，对他们来说可能就是生活中的一束光，能赶走不幸的阴霾，能让他们积极地面对身体的残缺，充满对生活的希望。

For instance, a gentle push to one who struggles up the ramp in a wheelchair, a friendly reminder to the blind of an obstacle ahead, offering a seat to one who needs in public transports, an understanding smile to those who’re in sign language. A small act of yours may help to express our acceptance towards the little inconvenience they encounter, and our willingness to share their difficulties.

同学们，理解、尊重、关心和帮助他人是中华民族的传统美德。让我们用关爱填平他们坎坷的人生道路，用爱心补全他们并不完美的人生。

Our fellow students, understanding, respecting, caring and helping others are the traditional virtues of our Chinese Nation. Let’s work together and help them to overcome their difficulties and light up their life with our love and care.

杨帆校长：永葆好奇心，向远大理想迈进

日前，在西藏珠峰地区开展的我国第二次青藏高原综合科学考察研究“巅峰使命”珠峰科考中，搭载了水汽稳定同位素分析仪、黑碳、甲烷、臭氧等多种分析仪器与设备的极目一号III型浮空艇平台，于5月15日4时40分超过世界最高峰珠穆朗玛峰，到达海拔9032米的高度，获得了珠峰地区大气水汽传输和温室气体垂直变化过程关键科学数据，为揭示西风传输影响下的青藏高原环境变化提供了重要的科学依据。

第二次青藏科考队队长、中科院姚檀栋院士荣获2017年“维加奖”，维加奖由瑞典人类学和地理学会颁发，每三年在全世界范围内对杰出的地学科学家评选出一名获奖者，由瑞典国王颁奖，有“地理学诺贝尔奖”之称。姚檀栋是该奖设立136年以来首位获奖的中国科学家，也是获此殊荣的首位亚洲科学家。他曾说，“从第⼀眼看到冰川的那⼀刻开始，我就被那种壮美和纯洁深深征服。”正是怀着对壮美冰川的热爱与好奇，他一直坚持研究，才取得了辉煌的成就，为国家做出了贡献。

人们追踪一种新事物，往往起源于好奇心，很难设想，一个对什么事情都觉得无所谓的人会有强烈的探索热情。一个人好奇心愈强，钻研劲头愈大。如果再加上对祖国、对人类的责任心和使命感，那他一定会一直坚持梦想，甚至遇到巨大困难也置之度外，一心一意要搞个水落石出。因此，好奇心和远大目标是科学研究的重要条件。许多著名的科学家如爱因斯坦等都很重视。

在万双，学校通过丰富的课程和活动，希望同学们多多增长见识，丰富你们生命创造的养分。今年5月24日是万双科学家日，我们将请到袁晖博士做主旨报告。他是北京大学电子与信息博士，主要研究方向为计算机感知系统及数据的挖掘应用。长期服务于互联网通讯、消费电子、可穿戴系统及数字医疗领域。他将带给同学们一场题为“数智未来——提高数字素养，让你遇见最好的自己”的精彩报告。同时，同学们已经参与的“我的科学梦”、“我对这世界的100问”，以及家长们带来的“科学主题沙龙”等活动也会如期举行。

以后每年五月第四周的周二，将固定设置为万双的科学家日。愿同学们在丰富多彩的活动中感受科学的魅力，洞悉科学发展的脉搏，学科学、爱科学，树立远大理想，将来为祖国、为人类的科学事业作出贡献。
