万双网讯  2021年10月,由深圳市华大基因学院与万科双语学校联合开设的《有趣的基因》课程体验圆满结束,六七年级48位同学获颁课程结业证书。

2020年,华大基因学院与深圳市梅沙教育发展有限公司在品牌宣传、STEM教育、生命科学教育、创新课程开发、青少年科普、智库咨询等方面达成合作协议,旨在推动中国科学教育的发展,推进长期战略合作,增进相互之间的互助合作。

 

In 2020, BGI college and Shenzhen Meisha Education reached a cooperation agreement on brand publicity, STEM education, life science education, innovative curriculum development, youth science popularization, and think tank consultation. They aimed to promote the development of science education in China, promote long-term strategic cooperation, and enhance mutual assistance and cooperation.

 

2021年2月至10月,由深圳市华大基因学院与万科双语学校联合开设的《有趣的基因》体验课程正式开上。授课教师由华大基因学院专业指导老师担任。六七年级48位同学参与了本课程的学习。课程内容由华大基因学院开发,以基因为主题。在理论知识的基础上,通过动手操作,以直观的方式对基因、DNA、细胞等抽象概念充分理解,同时学习科学探究的基本思路和方法。课程通过引导学生对人的容貌、大拇指的弯曲度、是否可以卷舌等个体特征的观察,挖掘现象背后的本质原因引出基因的概念,并让同学根据自己对现象的观察分组讨论问题:基因什么,基因在哪里,基因有什么用。同时了解到基因编辑、转基因技术及其生活中的应用。再通过解剖鸡蛋、动植物细胞模型的制作、香蕉DNA提取、DNA模型拼接、大肠杆菌DNA提取及培养、DNA赛跑等一系列实践活动使得抽象概念具体化,学生参与度非常高,课堂氛围愉悦。

 

From February to October 2021, the course, Interesting Genes developed by BGI college and VBS was delivered. The instructor was the professional instructor of BGI college. 48 students from Grades 6 and 7 participated in this course. The course was developed by BGI college. Students learned concepts such as gene, DNA, and cell intuitively and the basic ideas and methods of scientific inquiry. By observing individual characteristics such as people's appearance, the curvature of the thumb, and whether they can roll their tongue, students explored the essential reasons behind the phenomenon and learned the concept of the gene. They were asked to discuss in groups according to their observation of the phenomenon: what is the gene, where is the gene, and its use. At the same time, they learned about gene editing, transgenic technology, and its application in life. Then, the teacher concretized the concept through a series of practical activities such as dissecting eggs, making animal and plant cell models, banana DNA extraction, DNA model splicing, E. coli DNA extraction and culture, and DNA race.





































本次课程体验,教师为学生带来了专业前沿的科技理念,从独特的角度深入分析基因在生活现象中的体现,由现象及本质,有针对性的训练学生的科学思维,让学生在实践中充分理解抽象概念,提高了学生的学习兴趣和动手能力,同时提升了学生的科学素养和探索未知的好奇心,是科技赋能教育的一次成功的尝试和实践。

 

In this course, teachers have brought professional, cutting-edge scientific and technological concepts to students. They analyzed the embodiment of genes in life phenomena from a unique perspective, cultivated students' scientific thinking from phenomena and essence, made students understand concepts in practice, and improved students' learning interest and practical ability. At the same time, the course improved students' scientific literacy and curiosity to explore the unknown.
