万双网讯  为给孩子提供具有生活价值的学习，让学习在生活与实践中自然发生，10月18日下午，一场别开生面的“万小双旧物市场活动”在学校一楼架空层举行。二年级和五年级的同学们兴致勃勃地在买与卖、讨价还价中享受着活动带来的无限乐趣。

VBS News Net: VBS held a flea market on the overhead floor in the afternoon of October 18. The students in Grade 2 and Grade 5 enjoyed buying, selling, and bargaining and had a lot of fun.

本次活动由小学数学组策划。本学期二年级孩子们学习了人民币的知识，并利用国庆假期对自己感兴趣的货币进行了探究；五年级的孩子们学习了汇率的知识，同时对汇率问题产生的背景、货币兑换的实际意义、如何兑换等进行了探究。为了让孩子们学以致用，两个年级的孩子把自己家中的闲置物品拿出来，在旧物市场上分组进行自由买卖。通过参加有趣的旧物买卖活动，进一步巩固所学知识。

The Math group of primary school planned the activity. This semester, the Grade 2 children learned the knowledge of RMB and explored the currency they were interested in during the National Day holiday. The Grade 5 children learned the knowledge of exchange rate and studied the background of the exchange rate, the significance of currency exchange, and how to exchange. The children of the two grades were asked to take out the idle items in their homes and trade freely in groups in the flea market to apply and consolidate what they had learned.

当天，交易场面十分火爆。孩子们带来的玩具、书籍、学习用品、首饰、包包等物品琳琅满目。他们相互交易，并不时向老师们推销，赚得盆满钵满。有了买到了心仪的玩具，有的同学表示要将礼物送给妈妈……还有位同学表示，他刚买回来的玩具又被不靠谱的同学卖出去了……每个小组的同学都认真做了买卖记录，学会了计算自己的收益。

On that day, the children brought a lot of toys, books, school supplies, jewelry, and bags. They traded with each other and sold to teachers, making a lot of money. Some students said they would give the gift to their mothers. Another student said that one of his unreliable friends sold the toy he had just bought. The students in each group 

carefully made sales records and learned to calculate their income.

“万小双旧物市场活动”让孩子们在快乐的购物体验中锻炼了数学思维力、沟通、交流与合作的能力；让他们学会了合理地分配自己的钱财，有了初步的理财能力。万科双语学校通过丰富有趣的实践活动检测和增加学生知识运用能力，提升学生学习的内驱力，真正为学生学业减负。

The VBS flea market enables children to improve their mathematical thinking, communication, and cooperation skills, letting them learn to distribute their money reasonably and have a preliminary financial ability. VBS tries to improve students' ability to apply knowledge through various interesting activities, improve students' internal drive for learning, and truly reduce students' academic pressure.
