万双网讯 2021年9月22日，2021-2022第一学期第四周升旗仪式在学校操场举行。本周升旗仪式由8E班承担。8E班是一个团结友爱、积极向上的集体。

VBS News Net: On September 22, the 4th-week flag-raising assembly was held on the school playground, undertaken by 8E, who is optimistic and united.

升旗仪式由 8E班温柔和刘昕懿主持。伍宣静和钟思妍做了演讲。他们演讲的题目是《弘扬伟大抗战精神，同心共筑强大国防》。

Wen Rou and Liu Xinyi from 8E co-hosted the assembly. Wu Xuanjing and Zhong Siyan gave a speech. Their topic was 'Elevate the great spirit of the Resistance aggression, work together to build a strong national defense.'

The speech was as follows.

今天我们演讲的题目是《弘扬伟大抗战精神，同心共筑强大国防》。

Our topic is "Elevate the great spirit of the Resistance aggression, work together to build a strong national defense."

如今，我们生活在和平年代，与战争硝烟似乎离得很远。但是国防事关国家主权，事关社会发展，更事关人命生活安定。因此，国防建设和演练必不可少。每年9月的第三个星期六是全民国防教育日。全民国防教育日，是国家设定的对全民进行大规模国防教育的主题活动日，是群众性国防教育活动的形式之一。

Today, we live in times of peace, and the war seems to be far away from us. However, we should be aware that national defense is important to national sovereignty, social development and even more important to the peace of living and life. Therefore, it is essential to have national defense construction and training. The National Defense Education Day falls on the third Saturday of September, which is the day when we have national defense learning.

回顾历史，曾经强盛的清朝在鸦片战争后，被迫割地赔款，迅速没落。无数老百姓流离失所，每天都在担心明天是否就会深陷战火之中。食人的鸦片源源不断地输入中国，于无形中张开其贪婪的爪牙，吞噬着民族的健康、精神和脊梁。祖国蒙受了屈辱，祖国的命运汲汲可危，军备废弛，君主苟且偷安。所幸，在众人皆醉的年代，有些人怀着“天下兴亡，匹夫有责”“先天下之忧而忧，后天下之乐而乐”的心站了出来，挺直了身子骨，唤醒着无数中国人的良知，抗击外来侵略，联手奋战。无数年轻人抛头颅洒热血，保卫国土，英勇奋战。通过14年的浴血奋战，我们同仇敌忾，打赢了抗日战争。

Looking back to history, we know that the Qing Dynasty fell rapidly after the Opium War. Moreover, millions of people were homeless. They were also worried about whether they would be involved in wars someday. Quantities of harmful opium imported into China were harmful to people's health and destroyed the spirits of nations. What's worse, We Chinese were humiliated, and our destiny was on the brink of disaster. Fortunately, some people who were concerned about the rise and fall of the world and the people before else came forward, awakened Chinese, fought against foreign aggression bravely together with their lives to protect our motherland. After 14 years of bloody struggle, we finally won the War of Resistance aggression, and the suffering people were liberated.

中华民族曾经的耻辱不能忘记。黑暗年代留下的教训是鲜明、刻骨铭心的。惨痛的事实告诉我们，弱国无外交，落后就要挨打。而今时今日，我们能在全世界面前昂首挺胸地站起来，过着和平安定的生活，是离不开国防建设的。国防军队和武器是我们的硬实力，是保卫国家人民安全的根本所在。

We Chinese all will never forget the past experience, which is of great value and make a deep impression on us. Furthermore, it is concluded that we must be stronger and stronger because we will be defeated if we fall behind. For now, due to our national defense construction, we can live peacefully and stand proudly in front of the world. Therefore, strong armies and advanced weapons are the keys to the security of our nation.

2020年，一则新闻出现在我们的视野中。在中印边境加勒万河谷地区，中印双方发生激烈的冲突。起因是因为印度士兵企图越过边界。中国戍边士兵发现后被其围攻。他们寡不敌众，但却坚守着、反抗着，不让他人越过一寸土地。在士兵们的奋力抗争下，他国士兵终于被赶出界外。这场斗争是坚决的，不退缩的，以生命为代价的。

In 2020, it was reported that there was a fierce conflict between China and India in the Garavan Valley on the Sino-Indian border. The cause was that Indian soldiers attempted to cross the border. Even though there were few frontier guards, they stuck to fighting and rebelling against preventing Indian soldiers from crossing an inch of our motherland. With others' help, Indians have finally driven away. It is shown that our Chinese can sacrifice themselves to protect our country.

同学们，试想一下，当事件发生时，彼时的你我可能在上学、玩闹，但在遥远的雪山边，有无数英雄的士兵为了国防事业付出了生命。这更说明了你我的和平是靠强大的国防和无数英勇的战士们维护着的。

Dear fellows, we should be clear that whenever what happens while we are living peacefully, just because there are many soldiers who are protecting us at the cost of their lives, which shows that strong national defense and many heroes are of great importance to our peaceful life.

Never forget the past experience which guides us for the future.  There is the rise and fall of history changes, but where there is a country, there is a home.

前事不忘，后事之师。历史兴衰更迭，但不变的是国在则家在，国兴则家兴。国防的昌盛，离不开每个人强烈的国防意识。当我们生活在这个英雄的国度，我们必将不负中国人历来的骨气，树立国防意识，时刻准备学习先辈们为国防事业做贡献。莫让过去的耻辱再次发生，我们应当脚踏实地追求更强大之华夏。作为二十一世纪的新青年，我们只有努力学习科学文化知识，增强国防观念，有了丰富的知识、开阔的视野，才会有更美好的明天。

The prosperity of national defense can't live without a strong awareness of national defense. When we live in this heroic country, we will live up to the spirits of the Chinese people who have an awareness of national defense and be ready to contribute themselves to our motherland. We should pursue the goal of making our country stronger and stronger and make the past shame disappear forever. As teenagers of the 21 Century, only can we study hard, enhance the awareness of the national defense, broaden our horizons, we will have a beautiful future.

至此，我们应当铭记历史，传承先辈精神，共同打造富强中国，为完成伟大的民族复兴使命而读书。

In conclusion, we should keep history in mind, inherit the spirits of predecessors to build a prosperous and strong country hand in hand.
