万双网讯 “我竞选的职位是学生会主席，我有出色的管理经验”，“我竞选的职位是组织部长,我有很强的组织管理能力，请大家为我投上宝贵的一票……”9月14日晚6点半钟，万科双语学校剧场群情激昂，场面热烈。六至九学年段第二届学生会竞选大会正在这里火热进行。会议由团委书记董春月老师主持，50多名候选人踊跃参与竞选演讲，六到九学年段全体学生参加投票。林红英校长助理、吴珂主任等莅临现场。

VBS News Net: At 6:30 p.m. on September 14, the second Student Union Election for Grades 6 to 9 was held in the school theater. Ms. Dong Chunyue, Secretary of the Youth League Committee, hosted the election. More than 50 candidates participated in the election, and all students of Grades 6 to 9 participated in the voting. Assistant Principal Ms. Lin and Mr. Wu Ke came to the theater as well.

本次活动由上一届学生会成员组织。团委书记董老师从培养目标出发，引导万双少年们敢于创造美好未来，给学生们普及了选举权和被选举权的相关知识，引起学生们对本次竞选的重视。

This activity was organized by the members of the last student union. Starting from the school goal, Ms. Dong, Secretary of the Youth League Committee, guided VBS teenagers to have the courage to create a better future. 万双少年们阳光自信，妙语连珠。六年级陈履一同学在面临电脑断联的情况下，淡定地对大家说：“大家稍安勿躁，电脑很快就好。”随后他用PPT展示了自己的特长、爱好、获奖经历等，并且指出：学生会是展现万双学生精神面貌和生活状态的窗口，是沟通万双老师与学生的坚固桥梁，是学生自我管理的平台，是我们锻炼自身能力，实现自我价值的大舞台。他认为自己有独特的人格魅力和处事魄力，乐于善于听取意见建议，有冷静的头脑和慎重的言行，强大的组织能力，所以，他参与竞选组织委员。他的乐观、淡定、出色的领导力和演讲能力，赢得了全场学生的热烈掌声。”

VBS teenagers are sunny, confident and witty. Facing the disconnection of computers, Chen Lvyi, a Grade 6 student, calmly said to everyone, 'Take it easy, and the computer will be fine soon.' Then he used PPT to show his strong points, hobbies, and award-winning experience and pointed out that the student union is a window to show VBS students' morale and conditions. It's also a solid bridge for the communication between VBS teachers and students, a platform for students' self-management, and a big stage for improving their ability and realizing their self-worth. He believed that he had a unique personality and courage, was willing to listen to opinions and suggestions, had a calm mind and organizational ability. Therefore, he ran for the organizing committee. His optimism, calmness, excellent leadership and speech won warm applause from all the students.

邓竣谦同学开始有些紧张，但在学长们的鼓励下，克服了困难，第一次自信地在舞台上表达自己对班级和学校的热爱。他说：假如竞选成功，他将踏踏实实为同学服务；假如不成功，他也将用热心、爱心、信心、决心去继续努力。竣谦妈妈看到孩子的表现激动不已，说看到了孩子少有的自信，真正突破了自己。

Deng junqian was a little nervous at first, but with the encouragement of the seniors, he overcame the difficulties and confidently expressed his love for the class and school on the stage for the first time. He said that if he won the election, he would serve his classmates. If he lost the election, he would continue to work hard with enthusiasm, love, confidence and determination. Junqian's mother was very excited when she saw her child's performance. She said that she saw her son's self-confidence, and he broke through himself.

同学们在演讲中纷纷表示，一旦当选，他们将尽职尽责为大家服务。40多位同学的演讲充分展现了包容、乐观、活力、热情、勇于担当、敢于挑战的万双学子特质。

In their speeches, the students said that they would serve everyone with diligence once elected. The speeches of more than 40 students fully demonstrated the characteristics of VBS students who are inclusive, optimistic, energetic, enthusiastic, dare to take responsibility and dare to challenge.

最后，本次竞选还藏着一个大彩蛋。董老师宣布九年级也可以参与竞选。九年级学子积极踊跃，即兴演讲，出口成章，场面沸腾，喝彩声不断。演讲者们现场收获了一大批粉丝，把整个竞选活动推向了另一个高潮。

Finally, there was a big egg surprise in this election. Ms. Dong announced that the Grade 9 students could also participate in the election. The Grade 9 students were active and enthusiastic and delivered impromptu speeches that won many fans.

经过现场投票，29名同学入选学生会。

After voting, 29  students were selected into the student union.

本次活动与其说是一场竞选的角逐，不如说是一次历练，一次成长，一次担当，展示了VBS学子卓越的领导力和社会责任感，这才是万双的培养（成长）目标落地的声音，发光的样子。

This activity is not only an election but also experience, growth and responsibility for students. It shows the excellent leadership and social responsibility of VBS students.
