万双网讯 2021年5月 24日，2020-2021第二学期第十四周升旗仪式在学校操场举行。本周升旗仪式由 2I班承担。2I班是一个积极、乐观、向上的集体。

为了纪念“杂交水稻之父”袁隆平，孙晓萌老师和黄晓冬老师做了《稻花香里忆起您——袁隆平》主题演讲。

To commemorate Yuan Longping, Father of Hybrid Rice, Ms. Sun Xiaomeng and Ms. Huang Xiaodong gave a speech. Their topic was ‘A farewell to Yuan Longping’

稻花香里忆起您——袁隆平

亲爱的同学们，今天我特别想请大家认识一个人。他是学霸，自称“90后”；他像一位农民伯伯，却是著名的科学家，被人们称为“杂交水稻之父”；他是“共和国勋章”的获得者，还和习近平爷爷说过“悄悄话”。你们知道他是谁吗？

Dear students, today I would like to introduce a special person to you. He is known as the "father of hybrid rice" and winner of the "Medal of the Republic".

是的，他就是无数百姓热爱的当代神农——袁隆平爷爷。为什么袁隆平爷爷令人们如此尊敬、如此思念？今天我国旗下讲话的题目是《稻花香里忆起您——袁隆平》，让我们一起听听他的故事吧。

He is Yuan Longping, who is passed away and sent off by thousands of people with love and respect on May 22.  Today, Let's walk into his story together.

袁隆平爷爷年轻时经历了饥饿、贫穷的生活，于是他上大学时坚决地选择了学农并立下誓言：“我要用农业科学技术，让所有的人不再饥饿。”同学们，你们是否也想像袁爷爷那样从小立志“让所有的人不再挨饿”并为之奋斗一生呢？

At his early age, ，Yuan Longping led a life of hunger and poverty. Therefore, he chose to major in agriculture at college.

大学毕业后，袁隆平来到湖南西部的安江农校。在这里，他明白了，要让人们不再饥饿，就需要在有限的土地上种出更多的粮食。经过十年坚持不懈的努力，在成千上百次的试验后，他终于培育出了高产的杂交水稻。他的这个成果震惊世界，人们把这种神奇的水稻，称作“东方魔稻”。

After hundreds of experiments, he finally cultivated hybrid rice. This achievement has shocked the world, and people call this kind of rice "Oriental magic rice."

袁隆平爷爷说，他的第一个梦想是“禾下乘凉梦”，他梦见试验田的超级杂交稻长得比高粱还高，穗子有扫帚那么长，籽粒像花生米那么大，他和同事们就坐在瀑布般的稻穗下乘凉。他的第二个梦想是“杂交水稻覆盖全球梦”，如果全世界一半的稻田种植杂交水稻，增产的粮食可以多养活4亿—5亿人。他还说要继续工作，希望100岁的时候，还能搞试验，培育更厉害的杂交水稻！

Yuan Longping said that his first dream was that he could sit under the rice spike and enjoy the cool with his colleagues. He also wished to continue his work and cultivate a new kind of hybrid rice with higher production.

遗憾的是，袁爷爷的故事定格在了2021年5月22日，他永远地离开了我们。但是，我相信大家会记得袁爷爷的梦想，铭记他的付出，好好吃饭，坚决不浪费一粒粮食！会立志以袁爷爷为榜样，不断进取、勇于探索，从小学先锋，长大做先锋，从现在起就为实现中华民族伟大复兴的中国梦作全面准备，长大去实现袁爷爷的“禾下乘凉”和“覆盖全球”梦。

民族团结一家亲，共圆复兴中国梦

五十六个民族，五十六只花，五十六个兄弟姐妹是一家，这是一首耳熟能详的经典歌曲——“爱我中华”。我们的祖国人口众多，文化强盛，但是每一个爱国人都怀着同一个中国梦，那就是民族团结，振兴中华。

Our country has a large population and a strong culture, but everyone shares the same Chinese dream, that is, national unity and the revitalization of China.

中国古代的四大发明是创新的科学技术和智慧成果，如今的航空航天技术也已经走在世界巅峰，面对突如其来的新冠疫情，我们伟大的祖国做到了全国上下团结一心，共同抗疫，坚持人民至上，生命至上，取得了抗疫的重大成果。中国人前进的脚步不会停歇，中华民族伟大复兴的前进步伐不可阻挡。

The four great inventions of ancient China are achievements of innovative science, technology, and wisdom. Today, China's aerospace technology is at the top of the world. When facing the sudden COVID-19, we have made great achievements in fighting the pandemic.

同在一个蓝天下，我们都是一家人。放眼祖国，五十六个民族兄弟姐妹正以平等地位的身份携手并肩创造新生活，迎来中华民族伟大复兴的光辉前景。把我的心给你，我们是兄弟姐妹。把你的心给我，我们就亲如一家。民族团结之树常青，是中华儿女的共同心愿。

Now our great country is moving strongly and steadily toward renewal and prosperity. Of one heart and one mind, the great motherland has overcome difficulties and challenges again and again.

习近平总书记在全国民族团结进步表彰大会上强调，实现中华民族伟大复兴，需要各民族手挽着手、肩并着肩，共同努力奋斗。民族复兴的伟大中国梦，更是我们这一代人毕生追求的奋斗理想。

Chairman Xi stressed that to achieve the great renewal of our nation, we need to work together hand in hand.

我们是祖国的花朵，民族的未来，我们每一个小小的梦连接在一起时，那就是整个国家的大大的梦。在实现我们中华民族伟大复兴的旅途上，我们每个人都有一份义务与责任，让我们一起携手，共筑中国梦。

We are the future and the hope of the nation. Each of our small dreams come together, makes the great dream of the whole country.  To realize the great revitalization of China, each of us has the responsibility. Let's work together to fulfill the great Chinese dream.
