万双网讯   2021年4月19日，2020-2021第二学期第九周升旗仪式在学校操场举行。本周升旗仪式由3G班、3V班承担。3G、3V班是两个团结友爱、热爱运动的集体。

VBS News Net: On April 19, the 9th-week flag-raising assembly was held on the school playground, undertaken by 3G and 3V. 3G and 3V are united and love sports.

升旗仪式由3G班 的唐嫚淇和3V班的张心悦主持。3G班的黄子芮和3V班的罗悦诚 做了演讲。他们演讲的题目是《2021世界地球日——修复我们的地球》。

Tang Manqi from 3G and Zhang Xinyue from 3V co-hosted the assembly. Huang Zirui from 3G and Luo Yuecheng from 3V gave a speech. Their topic was repairing our planet.

The speech was as follows.

每年4月22日，世界上数十亿人都会加入到世界上最大的民间环保节日当中，即一年一度的世界地球日。世界地球日首次出现在1970年的美国，由当时的美国参议员盖洛德 · 尼尔森和青年活动家丹尼斯 · 海斯发起。20世纪90年代以来，中国社会各界每年4月22日都要举办专属主题的“世界地球日”活动。今年的主题为“修复我们的地球”。

Every April 22, billions of people around the world take part in the world's largest non-governmental environmental event-----the annual Earth Day. This year's theme is "repairing our planet."

美丽的地球是宇宙中最耀眼的星球，也是人类与多种生物共生的家园。我们地球人每天忙忙碌碌，常常忽略了人类行为对气候和环境的影响，而危机正向我们赖以生存的地球袭来。

The beautiful earth is the most dazzling planet in the universe. It is the common home for human beings and various living things. As we are busy living our daily lives, we often ignore the impact of human activities on our climate and the environment. A crisis is looming on the planet on which we depend.

我们都曾在新闻里听到过黄河断流、沙尘暴肆虐、巴西雨林被砍伐、动物濒临灭绝、工业排污造成当地空气、水质或土壤被污染……这些消息如此让人揪心，未来的我们还能拥有蓝天、绿地和洁净的水吗？中国政府面对日益恶化的环境问题，多年来积极实施科学治理，在使用清洁能源、减少碳排放、治理沙漠、大规模造林、整治空气及水污染等访面都取得了有目共睹的成果。这些增强了我们的信念，环境可以变好，地球可以修复！

We have heard in the news that the Yellow River has stopped flowing, sandstorms are raging, rainforests in Brazil have been cut down, animals are endangered, and local air, water, and soil have been polluted by industrial pollution. This news is so disturbing.  Will we still have blue sky, green land, and clean water in the future? In the face of the worsening environmental problems, the Chinese government has been taking scientific measures over the years and has made obvious achievements in reducing carbon emissions by using clean energy, transforming deserts into oases, promoting forest regeneration by large-scale afforestation, and by controlling air and water pollution. These give us hope that the environment can be better and the planet can be repaired.

作为未来少年的我们，可以做什么来保护环境、修复地球呢？我们可以做到：

1）不乱丢垃圾，积极参与垃圾分类；

2）减少或不用一次性用具，选择可重复利用和可再生物品；

3）珍惜水资源，节约用水；

4）节约食物，按需取用，不浪费食品；

5）爱护野生动物，保护野生动物的栖息地；

6）绿色出行，多选择公共交通；

7）关注和积极学习环境治理科学知识；

As future teenagers, what can we do to protect the environment and repair other earth? We can do this:

1)Don’t litter and actively participate in garbage sorting;

2)Reduce or do not use disposable appliances. Choose reusable and renewable items;

3)Cherish water resources;

4)Save food, take meals as needed, do not waste food;

5) Protect wild animals and their habitats;

6) Green travel, choose public transportation;

7) Learn scientific knowledge of environmental protection;

有了你、我、大家对环境保护一次又一次小的坚持，我们的天空会更加蔚蓝，空气会更加清新，森林会更加茂密，河流会更加清澈，让我们一起参与到修复地球的行动中，因为她是我们唯一的家园！谢谢大家！

With our efforts in environmental protection, we can make the sky bluer, the air fresher, the forest thicker, the river clearer. Let us participate in the action to repair mother Earth because she is our only home! Thank you！
