万双网讯  为崇德尚善，健全立德树人的机制，以榜样的力量鼓舞VBS学子成长自强，3月15日下午，万科双语学校2020-2021学年第一学期优秀学生颁奖典礼在学校剧场举行。全校小学生参与了本次活动。郑世英校长助理与老师们为 “三好学生”“优秀班干部”“文明学生”“明星学生”颁发了奖状，获奖学生代表发表了感言，表达了实现自主发展目标过程中努力成长的欢乐与收获。

VBS News Net:  On the afternoon of March 15, VBS's first semester of the 2020-2021 school year Outstanding Student Award Ceremony was held in the theater. All students from Years 1 to 5 participated in this ceremony. Assistant principal Ms. Zheng and teachers from Years 1 to 5 awarded merit certificates to the Merit students, Excellent Class Leaders, Civilized Students, and Star Students. Representatives of the award-winning students delivered speeches, expressing the joy of achieving their independent development goals.

When I heard that I was named Star of Civilization, I felt very proud. I understood that to be a good student with morality and civilization，we must start with little things. 为什么能成为明星学生呢？我在课堂上坐姿端正，遵守纪律；我是班级的图书管理员，愿意为同学们提供帮助；我也很喜欢学校里丰富多彩的课程，外教课让我的英语越来越自信了。在攀岩课上，我小小的身体有大大的能量，现在我经常可以登顶了。放学回家，我会认真复习，所以各科成绩越来越好。我认为明星学生要有很多的闪光点，才能给小朋友们做好榜样。

Why can I become a star student? I sit upright in class and obey the discipline. I am a librarian in our class, and I am willing to help my classmates. I also like the diverse courses in school, and foreign teachers have made me more confident in English. My tiny body has a lot of energy in rock climbing class, and now I can often climb to the top. I was determined to be an excellent primary school student. In the past two years, I have actively participated in every activity and completed every assignment carefully. During my tenure as a teacher assistant and class leader, I assisted teachers in managing class discipline, doing daily pre-class preparations, and completing various tasks assigned by the teacher. As a commissary in charge of studies of the school brigade committee and a commissary of our class, I study hard and often use the evening study time to answer classmates’ questions. I know that I still have a lot to improve, and I will study harder to experience the future.

很庆幸在万双上学，学校丰富多彩的课程和多元的活动深深地吸引着我，总觉得假期有点多在校时间有点短，不敢请假，怕错过哪一堂精彩的课程。上课时我认真听讲，积极发言，及时完成老师布置的作业并主动挑战有难度的作业。从现在起我会更加认真努力，让自己不断成长为一名品学兼优的少年。

I am very fortunate to study at VBS. The diverse courses and activities have attracted me deeply. I always feel that there are a lot of vacations while the time at school is short. I won’t ask for leave because I don’t want to miss any course. I listened carefully, answered questions actively, completed the teacher's homework in time, and challenged difficult assignments. From now on, I will work harder to make myself a teenager who is both good in character and learning.

No pains, no gains. There are no shortcuts on the road to learning. Only more effort can be made to achieve excellent results. Achievements only represent the past, and new goals are waiting for us ahead. We will redouble our efforts, carry forward the spirit of hard work, master suitable learning methods, and develop good study habits.

郑世英校长助理从每个学期自主发展目标的申报鼓励学生每周一小结、向着目标前进，在达成一个一个小目标中互相学习，共同成长，让自己成长为最好的自己，同时，鼓励同学学习榜样，努力成长为德智体美劳全面发展的万小双。

Assistant Principal Ms. Zheng encourages students to summarize every week, move towards their goals, learn from each other and grow together in achieving small goals one by one so that they can grow into the best self. She also encourages students to learn a role model and strive to grow into well-rounded students.
