万双网讯   2021年3月8日，万科双语学校举行了隆重的升旗仪式，同时为上学期荣获“金海豚班”的班级颁奖，公布了万科双语学校第一届学生会名单。时值三八妇女节，学校为老师们举办了温馨的庆三八系列活动。

VBS News Net: On March 8, VBS held the flag-raising assembly. The classes that won the ‘Golden Dolphin Class’ last semester were awarded the prizes, and the list of the first student union was announced. A series of Women's Day celebration activities were held for the teachers.

上午7点40分，2020-2021第二学期第三周升旗仪式在学校操场举行。本周升旗仪式由7C 班、7D班承担。7C班和7D班两个班级活力四射、奋发向上，是有着蓬勃的生命力和创造力的集体。

Liu Xingyu from 7C and Chen Leling from 7D co-hosted the assembly. Sun Shengjie from 7C and Zhu Kaiying from 7D gave a speech.Their topic was 'Let the green dream fly.'

上学期，校团委、大队部对全校各班持续进行综合常规检查，在学校各项活动中表现优异、成绩进步、综合评价排名前列的班级荣获金海豚奖杯。杨帆校长、郑世英校长助理、林红英校长助理分别为获得“金海豚班”称号的班级颁奖。他们分别是：1O班、1V班、1X班、2C班、2D班、2G班、3C班、3I班、4D班、5C班、7D班、8D班、9C班。

春光明媚，春风和气。在这个美好的季节里，我们即将迎来一个重要的节日——植树节。

Spring is coming , In this beautiful season,we are going to celebrate an important festival --The Arbor Day.

说到植树节，我们就想起一位伟人——中国民主革命先行者孙中山先生。

When we talk about Arbor Day, we must think of a great man -- Dr. Sun Yat-sen, the forerunner of China's democratic revolution.

他小时候就十分喜欢“树艺牧畜”，在海外留学时还不忘回家乡种植桑树。后来在广州的“三民主义”演讲中他也强调“防止水灾和旱灾的根本办法就是造林植树”。他是中国近代史上第一个重视并大力提倡植树造林的人，1925年3月12日，他在北京逝世。后来人们为了纪念他，将这一天定为植树节。

When he was a child, he never forgot to go back to his hometown to plant mulberry trees. Later, in his speech "Three People's Principles" in Guangzhou, he also emphasized that "the fundamental way to prevent flood and drought is to plant tree". He was the first person in modern Chinese history to advocate afforestation. On March 12, 1925, he passed away in Beijing. In order to commemorate him, we set this day as Arbor Day.

随着不断增长的经济和人口压力，人类大量砍伐树木，乱占林地，森林破坏和消失的形势日趋严重，也因此出现了许多环境问题。例如：气候变暖、水土流失、空气污染等。所以，我们应该意识到森林的重要性。

With the increasing economic and population pressure, people are cutting down trees, taking up woodland and the situation of forest destruction and disappearance is becoming more and more serious. It also gives rise to many environmental problems. For example: climate warming, soil erosion, air pollution and so on. Therefore, we should realize the importance of forests.

可喜的是，全民义务植树运动有力推动了中国生态状况的改善。经过多年的不懈努力，中国森林覆盖率提高到18.21%。在20年的时间里，对全球绿化的贡献率达到25%，比例居全球首位。

Fortunately, it has strongly promoted the improvement of the ecological situation in China as a nationwide voluntary tree-planting campaign. Thanks to years of efforts, China's forest coverage rate has increased to 18.21 percent.

In 20 years, China's contribution to the global greening rate reached 25%, becoming the largest proportion.

我们的城市——深圳也为此做出了贡献。去年我市共有95万人参加义务植树活动，折算植树297万株，并且被评为国家森林城市。我们学校也积极参与其中，去年9月12日上午，我校的五年级和九年级师生积极参加了国际植物学大会纪念园开园仪式。

Shenzhen, our city, has also made contributions to this. Last year, 950000 people participated in the voluntary tree planting activities, which converted to 2.97 million trees. Shenzhen has been rated as a national forest city.

last year,In the morning of September 12, the teachers and students of Grade 5 and Grade 9 of our school actively participated in the opening ceremony of the Memorial Garden of the International Botany Congress.

就在上一周，7C班同学积极参加了“市民花田”义工活动，不仅体现了服务社会的优良品质，践行了雷锋精神，也为深圳的春天护住了一缕春色。
