万双网讯  “老师,我们不想放假,我们想上一年的课。”……1月18日至22日,万科双语学校丰富多彩的活动和减压课程让孩子们乐在其中。这一周,为全面展示本学期课程成果,为VBS未来少年提供才艺展示的平台,学校采用现场直播的方式,分别在学校剧场举行优秀“零废弃生活”PBL项目展示会,优秀社团、选修课展示及艺术沙龙系列活动;这一周,班级E Talk、“牛“主题研究、游泳课体验、科学实验探究、体育比赛、校队展示、自由阅读课……琳琅满目,精彩纷呈。


VBS News Net: 'Cher, I don't want to have holidays but to have classes the whole year,' VBS students were enjoying themselves during the destress course and events held from 18th January to 22nd January. The school was streaming all events in this entire week - PBL presentations, Student societies presentations, electives presentations and Art Salon to demonstrate the achievements in this semester. E-talk, research on ox, swimming, science experiments, sports games, school team presentation and reading were offered.

“零废弃生活”PBL项目展示会——在自主探究成长

'Life with zero waste' PBL Presentation - learn in independent studies


“零废弃生活”PBL项目于2020年7月10日正式启动。针对第一个阶段目标“打造零废弃校园”,各年级进行了不同子主题的研究,经过问题分析、调研、实验、迭代取得了初步成果。各年级选取优秀的PBL小组在剧场进行了展示。在展示过程中,孩子们用PPT演讲、童话剧、作品展示等多种形式,对自己的研究过程、研究成果、遇到的挫折、解决问题的办法以及下一步研究计划进行了条理明晰的汇报。


'Life with zero waste' PBL was launched on 10th July 2020. Students researched on different subtopics by their grade levels and obtained results after question analysis, survey, experiments and modifications. Outstanding groups made their presentations at the theatre. Students presented their findings by PPT slides, stage play and other productions to state clearly on their research process, findings, setbacks, solutions and next reserch plans. 



一年级的孩子们介绍了学校白板笔的消耗情况,制作了温馨提示语——“小笔戴帽,寿命更长”,呼吁全校师生正确使用白板笔,减少资源的浪费。他们还对学校各个楼层的垃圾桶垃圾产出量进行调查和记录,希望未来多设计一些标语提醒大家,将零废弃,践行到底。1I回收队展示了他们用废弃物做的森林小屋,十分美观。


Primary 1 students introduced the whiteboard markers consumption by VBS, and created the slogan 'Capped markers last longer' to call for a better use of markers and reduce waste of resources. They also surveyed and took down the waste production at every storage to make more reminders to everyone to get closer to zero waste campus. 1I showed their forest house made of waste. 



















二年级的同学致力于解决校园白板笔和塑料瓶的问题。他们加强宣传、优化回收路径、提高利用率。在研究中,他们设计了独具创意的白板笔提醒器,还有可以加墨的白板笔,致力于提高白板笔的使用率。


Primary 2 students focused on solving plastic bottles and markers. They put in effort in publicity, optimised recycle path and improved the utilisation rate. They designed reminders for using markers and markers with replacable ink.











三年级开展了植物种植的相关研究,并在VBS的土地上开始尝试打造属于他们自己的花园和农场。学生们通过了一系列查找、收集、整理资料,了解了种植方法与植物的生长环境,制作了详细种植计划与工作分工,还制作了花园围栏、植物信息板、“零废弃”装饰等等。在整个探究过程中,孩子们遇到了很多困难,但他们决定永不放弃。


Primary 3 students conducted plants research with creating their own garden and farmland. They did their research on planting and living conditions for plants to craft out planting schedule and rosters. They also made fences, info board and zero waste decorations. They did not give up as they met difficulty.

















四年级的孩子们制定了校园垃圾分类条例,为学校设计了更合适的垃圾桶。孩子们自己设计草图,运用了万双的logo,还在老师的帮助下建模,并通过学校的3D打印机初步设计出了他们心目中VBS绿色环保垃圾桶的雏形。


Primary 4 students made the garbage sorting regulations and provided a better design for the bins. They designed from their own sketch with VBS logo and modelled them with the help of teachers. They had come up with the initial design by 3D printers.












五年级的孩子们确定了两个研究方向:一是将废纸再回收,经过打碎、制成纸浆、压制晾晒等过程,制成全新的再生纸;二是将废纸回收售卖,将废纸变为“真金白银”。5D班的孩子经过努力,真的用造出了纯手工纸张,并展示了变废为宝的吊灯、围棋等作品。而5C班的孩子们经过了两个月的积攒,总计卖出40.2公斤的废纸(包含硬纸板与废弃试卷等纸张),收获了134元,能购买一台小型碎纸机,为后续手工造纸、废纸堆肥研究能做好了充足的准备。


Primary 5 students proposed two research topics - recycled paper to create reusable paper; collect and sell the waste paper. 5D successfully made the reusable paper to create other items. 5C sold 40.2 kg waste paper to receive 134 RMB to purchase a paper shredder for future research.



















下学期,“零废弃生活”项目式学习将继续推进,孩子们将优选出最好的解决方案并在校园推广。


This PBL would be continued next semester for students to find the best solutions on campus.

 

优秀社团、选修课展示——卓越的领导力与创造力


Student societies, electives presentations - excellent leadership and innovation


1月10日,学校启动了社团和选修课展示的遴选活动。1月21日,由老师和学生代表挑选出的社团和选修课在剧场进行了展示。他们详细介绍了社团的管理方式、遇到的困难、解决的方案、取得的成果以及自己的收获和感想,展示了VBS学子优秀的领导力。


VBS launched selection of student societies, electives presentations on 10th January. The selected groups made the presentations on 21st January. They introduced their management, obstacles, solutions and achievements as well as their reflections to demonstate their leadership skills.


活动在5C班POP社团动感的舞蹈中展开,他们介绍了自己社团的发展过程,还针对自己在社团活动中遇到的问题与大家分享了解决方案。


The presentation began with the dancing by 5C POP society. They introduced their development history, issues and solutions.



1C班音乐社团以一首《最好的未来》展示了社团风采,小社长从多个方面介绍了自己的管理经验。


Music society by 1C performed 'Best future' and its president introduced the management experience. 



3F班多彩棋社的小社长风度翩翩,侃侃而谈,指出下棋让他们学会了坚韧不拔,丰富了他们的想象力。


President of Colorful Chess Society from 3F pointed out that chess would allow them to stretch their imaginations.

4D梦幻美术屋社团的一幅长卷让人眼前一亮,一笔一划勾勒出了最美好的小学生活。


Art Society from 4D presented their work about the primary school life.





国学经典吟诵由黄德明、温芳铭老师指导,有利于培养孩子高尚的道德情操,能显著提高孩子的记忆能力,提高文化素养。孩子们将《咏鹅》《诗经•木瓜》两首诗以古人歌诀吟诵的方式背诵出来,在这个过程中,将传统文化的种子根植于心中。


Classics Recital was mentored by Mr. Huang and Mr. Wen to nurture their virtues and memory skills. Students recited two classics poems to have traditional culture in mind.







中国舞&现代舞课由赵芮老师指导。孩子们在一曲《凉凉》中,展示了自己现代舞的优雅柔美。


Mr. Zhao mentored Chinese Dance and Modern Dance. Students demonstrated modern dance elegance.




在刘梅老师指导的3D打印课上,学生们的作品琳琅满目,有可以喝水的水杯,也有造型特别的各种装饰品。


In Ms. Liu's 3D printing class, students made many items - cups, decorations.



在彭平老师指导的人工智能课上,学生们成功做出了光控窗帘,用程序实现了“吹泡泡”。

 

In Mr. Peng's AI classes, students produced light-sensored curtains and bubbling with programs.





由崔东花、刘艳静老师指导的中华美食课是孩子们都很感兴趣的选修课,一个个创意馒头在孩子们的手下好像活了起来,可爱的小猪、小老鼠、小狗、小兔子,令人爱不释手。


Chinese cuisine classes were guided by Ms. Cui and Ms. Liu, students produced steam buns with various shapes - pigs, mice, puppies, rabbits. 





万科双语学校社团活动和选修课程的开展,对于促进学生多元成长、丰富学生校园生活、提高孩子们的管理能力和组织能力、培养孩子的集体意识和责任意识具有重要作用。


The initiation of elective and student societies sessions allowed students to achieve character development, management skills and organisation skills as well as their sense of team and responsibility.


艺术沙龙——才艺秀

Art Salon -talent show


在1月22日举行的艺术沙龙上,孩子们带来了精彩的朗诵、舞蹈、钢琴、古筝、小提琴、独唱等形式多样的表演。这是一场才艺的较量,更是信心和勇气的大比拼;这是激情的燃烧,更是动感与活力的大绽放。VBS同学们个个身怀绝技,能文能武,他们分别来自参与龙华区才艺比赛中获奖的选手和导师团内优秀学员。他们踏着欢快的节拍,用歌声、舞蹈、戏剧、演奏等多种形式诠释内心深处对艺术的向往,放飞青春美丽的梦想。


Students brought a variety of performance - recital, dancing, piano, Guzheng, violin, singing etc. It was a battle of talent, courage and confidence. It was also a show of vitality and passion. They were the awardees in Longhua District Talent Show Contest and members from VBS mentors. They began to pursue their dreams and aspirations of Art with beats of dancing, singing drama and instrumental performance.

















































班级E—Talk——切磋思想,表达自我

E—talk - express of oneself and exchange of ideas.


“大家好,我今天演讲的主题是‘尊重他人,快乐常在’ … …”“同学们,包容是一种修养,是一种处变不惊的气度… … ”“你们知道吗?诚信自古以来就是中华民族的美德… …”1月18日到21日,小学部的班级E—talk活动吸引了全体学生的参与。


'My topic is respect others to have joy', 'Guys, inclusiveness is a virtue,' 'Do you know honesty has been the virtue of Chinese nation...' students participated in E-talk sessions from 18th January to 21st January. 







本次E—talk活动由教师给出多个关键词,包括“诚信” “自由” “自律” “热爱” “尊重” “创新” “包容”等。每位学生自选感兴趣的关键词查阅资料,准备稿件,进行3分钟演讲。教师进行点评和总结,同班同学根据评价表进行打分,并按比例选出优秀的小小演讲家。在演讲中,学生们娓娓道来,出色的表现让老师们为之惊叹:自信的笑容,从容的举止,独到的观点,别样的演绎,小小身躯藏着不可预估的能量。


Teachers gave out a few keywords - honesty, freedom, discipline, passion, respect, innovation, inclusiveness. Students researched on these keywords and prepared a 3-minute speech. Teachers gave feedback and conclusive remark while peers gave scores to select outstanding speakers. Their performance was astonishing - confidence, calm and insightfulness were seen as students gave their speeches.







本次的E—Talk活动,给每一位孩子上台分享观点的机会,让孩子们畅所欲言,说心中所想,谈心中所思,为万双学子演讲技巧和表达交流能力的提高提供了平台,培养了学生的自信心。


This E talk allowed students to share their own opinions to improve their speech skills and their level of confidence.




校队展示

School team presentation


1月19日,学校游泳队、人工智能队、国际象棋队、攀岩队、篮球队、足球队、建筑工程队等校队面向全校学生进行全面展示。孩子们参观后纷纷表示,希望通过自己的努力能加入到校队。


Swimming, AI, Chess, Rock Climbing, Basketball, Football and Architecture school teams presented in front of the whole school. Other students had the intent to join the teams after looking at the presentation.























  










































活动周,学校游泳课体验、科学实验探究、体育比赛、自由阅读课……琳琅满目,精彩纷呈。


Swimming, science experiments, sports games, school team presentation and reading were offered.
