万双网讯  大自然是地球上一切生物的家园，人人都渴望拥有一个美好的家园。为了保护自然环境，创建绿色校园，让环保理念根植于VBS未来少年心中， 12月25日，一年级PBL白板笔研究小组进入到全校各个班级，进行“小笔戴帽，寿命更长”的宣讲，让温馨提示语走进全校的每一个教室，呼吁全校师生正确使用白板笔，减少资源的浪费。

VBS News Net: Our mother nature gives us everything we need and everyone desires to have a wonderful living environment. Primary 1 PBL students researching on whiteboard markers walked into every class to promote their campaign about reducing the consumption of whiteboard markers in school and asked everyone to use markers properly by the slogan 'Capped markers last longer' on 25th December to conserve the environment and create eco-friendly campus.

本学期，万科双语学校开展了以“校园零废弃”为主题的PBL实践课程。在课程中，孩子们通过调查发现学校白板笔消耗严重，整个学校一个学期就有大约1700支笔被消耗。于是，孩子们在老师的带领下，一起研究了白板笔的构成及生产工艺流程，了解到白板笔的墨水主要是由颜料和酒精做成的，而酒精是易挥发液体，如果不及时盖好笔盖，白板笔的墨水会很快被消耗掉。然而在校园里，大家经常会看到忘记给白板笔盖笔帽、随手乱放白板笔的现象，这大大增加了白板笔的消耗速度，造成了很多不必要的浪费。

VBS has organised PBL practice classes on 'Zero waste campus' this semester. Students found out that the school has consumed 1700 markers every semester during their studies. Appalled by this number, students learned the manufacturing process of markers to understand that the ink inside markers contained alcohol which could volatilise easily if uncapped. Uncapped markers were seen a lot in school which caused unnecessary waste in markers consumption.

为了提醒大家，一年级Y班PBL白板笔研究小组想出了一句温馨提示语——“小笔戴帽，寿命更长”。为此，学校统一制作了温馨提示牌，先在一年级进行试点，贴在一年级每个教室的讲桌上，结果发现忘记给白板笔盖笔帽、随手乱放白板笔的现象有所改善。

1Y PBL research group came up with a slogan 'Capped markers last longer'. The school made the slogan boards to be placed on the teaching desks in all Primary 1 classes. As it turned out, there were fewer uncapped or unattended markers.

12月14日，1Y班裴熙瑶和方茜妮小朋友作为一年级代表在全校师生前进行以“小笔戴帽，寿命更长”为主题的演讲。12月25日，一年级PBL白板笔研究小组进入到全校各个班级宣讲。

Pei Xiyao and Fang Qianni from 1Y made the speech on 14th December in front of the whole school and the researched group walked into all classes on 25th December to promote the campaign.

一年级小朋友的宣讲获得了高年级哥哥姐姐的称赞，5C班的同学说一年级的小朋友很勇敢，介绍得很详细，希望大家养成随手盖好笔帽的习惯，从源头上制止白板笔的浪费，把行动落在日常。

Seniors praised their effort in the campaign - 5C students said they were brave and explained in details to ask everyone to make it a habit to cap markers so that the consumption of markers could be reduced by daily effort.

1Y班参与宣讲的郭露希说：“这次宣讲活动很有意义，感谢学校老师们能给我这个机会，将我们的成果分享给哥哥姐姐们，希望这个标语能提醒老师们注意盖好笔盖，也请哥哥姐姐们自己用完也记得盖好，同时记得监督老师们盖好。”

Guo Luxi from 1Y said, 'It is really a meaningful event. I would like to thank teachers to give me this opportunity to share our research results to seniors. I truly hope teachers and students can cap markers once they see this slogan.'

现在温馨提示语走进了全校的每一个教室，大家从养成随手盖好笔帽的小习惯开始，节能环保，以实际行动来爱护美丽的校园。

Now the slogan is seen in every class across the campus. Everyone takes actions to conserve the environment by capping markers.

本次以“校园零废弃”为主题的PBL项目开展对于提升学生的环保意识，节约资源，共创未来美好世界，真正实现让孩子站在未来中央具有深远意义，同时也是万科双语学校敢于人先，开拓创新，为未知而教、为未来而学的又一重要举措。

Having 'Zero waste campus' PBL studies allows students to learn about environmental-friendliness and to create a better world by saving resources. This is also an important measure done by VBS to innovate pedagogies and practise the school philosophy 'Teach for the unknown, study for the future' so that students could experience the future.
