万双网讯  9月29日下午，万科双语学校组织全体初中师生共同走进影院，观看爱国主义影片《八佰》，让浓浓的家国情怀在心中滋长。

VBS News Net: Students and teachers from Junior Secondary Department entered the theatre to watch the movie The Eight Hundred as part of the national education on 29th September.

影片《八佰》改编于真实事件，以1937年淞沪会战为背景，向我们讲述了中国国民革命军第三战区88师524团的加强营——“八百壮士”拼死固守苏州河畔的四行仓库，阻击日军的故事。这是淞沪会战的最后一役。影片中，战士们以命护旗，前赴后继，视死如归，纵使战至一人一弹，也绝不放弃抵抗。这群仅仅只余420多人的军队，用钢铁般的行动告诉世界——中国的军人不会倒下。

During the early days of the Second Sino-Japanese War, and on a greater scale World War II, the Imperial Japanese Army invaded Shanghai, which became known as The Battle of Shanghai. The 524th Regiment of the under-equipped 88th Division of the National Revolutionary Army, led 453 young officers and soldiers to defend Sihang Warehouse against the 3rd Imperial Japanese Division consisting of around 20,000 troops on a heroic suicidal last stand against the Japanese. The decision was made to provide a morale boost to the Chinese people after the losses of Beijing and Shanghai, and help spur support from the Allies, who were in full view of the battle from the International Settlement in Shanghai just across from the Suzhou Creek.

'I shall give my blood to my country,' students were touched by the story.

返校的路上，孩子们讨论着影片中触人心弦的情节，心情久久不能平静。勿忘国耻，勿忘岁月。本次观影，对于培养万双学子的家国情怀，让孩子们学会承担使命，敢于担当，用坚定的步履走向未来舞台的中央具有重要作用。

Students were still discussing the plot on their way back to school. The national humiliation should not be forgotten. This session is key to nurture patriotism among VBS students so that they know the mission and take up responsibility for their future.

我看了三遍《八佰》，不管是哪一次，我都很感动。特别是在陈树生抱着炸药包跳下楼的那一段，使我心生敬畏。革命先烈那种视死如归的伟大精神让我无比敬佩，是他们唤醒了中国魂。我们现在幸福的生活是他们用生命共同创造的，我们要感谢他们。铭记历史，勿忘国耻！

I have watched it three times but I am still touched by the story, especially as the soldier jumped off with the explosive packs. They woke up the nation by sacrificing their lives. We have to acknowledge them and not forget the national humiliation.

最让我感动的镜头是：日军用钢板阵掩护工兵爆破墻体，手榴弹无法击破，壮士们就将炸药捆到自己身上，从楼上跳到日军的钢板阵中。一位赌场老板说:国人皆如此，倭寇何敢？一个女孩冒着生命危险，从河对面游了过来，送中华民国国旗。升旗必定会激怒日军，可在自己地盘上，为什么不升?民国国旗升起来了，日军战斗机扫射，人肉来挡，死一波，上一波，无论如何，国旗不能倒下！我想向英雄们深深致敬！

The most touching moment in the movie - the Japanese army use steel boards to cover bombing squads was countered by our heroes whom sacrificed themselves by carrying explosives and jumping off. A casino owner was impressed by such heroic actions. A lady delivered the flag from the opposite side of the river. Raising the flag would agitate the Japanese army but people had no fear against warplanes. I really want to salute our heroes.

在电影《八佰》中，一个小人物端午离开了他生活的农村。他不想被卷入战争，但是他的叔叔带着他和他的兄弟小湖北到了上海。他们去了四行仓库并成为了军人。日本军队在上海摧毁了所有人的住所，但唯独没有摧毁这个仓库和仓库后面的租界区。端午遇到了很多杰出的战士，对日军的行为感到愤怒。他为了保护旗帜献出了自己的生命。这部电影告诉了我们，爱国使人变得勇敢和伟大。

In the movie of "The Eight Hundred", a nobody named Duan Wu left his village to join the war. Duan Wu didn't want to go, but his uncle brought him and his little brother Xiaohubei to Shanghai. They went to Sihang Warehouse and became soldiers. The Japanese enemies destroyed all people's home in Shanghai except for this warehouse and the concession area behind.Duan Wu met many good fighters and was furious at the enemies. He protected their flag with his life. The movie reminds us that patriotism makes people brave and great.
