万双网讯   2020年9月14日，2020-2021第一学期第三周升旗仪式在学校操场举行。本周升旗仪式由8C班承担。

VBS News Net: The third week flag-raising assembly was held on 14th September and it was undertaken by 8C.

升旗仪式由8C班梁安雅、左文昊主持。陈泓屹、林雯迪做了演讲，他们演讲的题目是《铭记历史 勿忘国耻》。

Liang Anya and Zuo Wenhao hosted the assembly. Chen Hongyi and Lin Wendi made the speech - 'Remember the history and the national humiliation'.

Remember the history and national humiliation

东风轻拂，红旗飘扬，染尽多少先烈血。我们脚下这片热土啊，是经受了多少的千疮百孔，才有了今天的安宁。听不到枪林弹雨的响声，我们或许容易忘却那段厚重的屈辱；看不到战火连天的硝烟，我们或许很难想起那段“可怜河边无定骨”的岁月。

Our raising national flag reminds us of how much blood has shed by our martyrs. Our country has undergone a tough period before getting restored the peace we have today. Without hearing gun shots, we may easily forget our humiliation; if we can't visualise the war, it may be difficult for us to recall the period where corpses were all over the place.

滴答滴答的时针，现在倒退回到了89年前。那年9月18日的深夜，一声炮火轰鸣，沈阳北郊南满铁路被炸毁；19日，日军侵占沈阳。半年之后，东北三省全部沦陷。这，就是震惊中外的九一八事变！从此，中华民族的历史进入了最黑暗的一页，中国人民遭受着前所未有的磨难，中国这片土地承载了最难以启齿的屈辱。14年的艰苦抗战，让中华儿女用鲜血和生命铸就了一个大国的尊严，大写了“中华民族”四个顶天立地的大字。铭记这段历史，不是为了让民族的仇恨蒙蔽双眼，而是为了让历史照亮前行的道路。我们要记得“落后就要挨打”的历史教训，要记得“少年强则国强”的谆谆教诲，要记得战争给世界人民带来的痛苦和灾难。

Let's turn the clock back to 89 years ago. On midnight of September 18th 1931, the South Manchuria Railway in the north suburbs of Shenyang was bombed. On the day, the Japanese army took over Shenyang by invasion. Six months later, all three northeastern provinces fell in the Japanese hands. This was the September 18th Incident that shocked the entire country and overseas. It was the darkest period in the history of Chinese nation - people had unprecedented suffering and humiliation. During the 14 years of war, Chinese people defended their nation with blood and tears. Remembering this period of history is not to increase national hatred or animosity, but to let the history guide the future. We must remember the historical lesson of "Lagging behind leaves one vulnerable to attack", the basic national development on nurturing elite youth and the pain and disasters that the war has brought to the people of the world.

2001年9月7日，联合国大会通过决议，决定自2002年起，每年的9月21日为国际和平日。决议中提到：“国际和平日应成为全球停火和非暴力日，并邀请所有国家和人民在这一天停止敌对行动。”期盼那只衔着橄榄枝的和平鸽，把大家美好的愿望带向人间。然而，中东半岛矛盾、阿富汗动荡不安、美伊局势紧张……等一些不和平的因素，仍然存在。世界上很多国家和地区的人民都生活在水深火热之中，备受战争的煎熬。值此国际和平日来临之际，让我们唱响心中祈祷的歌，让这个世界铸剑为犁，让战争的硝烟随风而散。坚定理想信念、志存高远、脚踏实地，既读有字之书，也读无字之书，在追寻中国梦的实践中，放飞青春的梦想！

On September 7th, 2001, the United Nations General Assembly passed a resolution to name September 21st the International Day of Peace since 2002. The resolution mentioned, "The International Day of Peace should become a day of global ceasefire and non-violence, and all countries and people are invited to cease hostilities on this day,' do hope that the peace pigeons with the olive branch will bring everyone's good wishes to the world. However, conflicts in the Middle East Peninsula, the turmoil in Afghanistan, the tension between the United States and Iran still exist. People in many countries and regions in the world are living in dire situations and suffering from wars. On the occasion of the International Day of Peace, let us sing the song of prayer in our hearts to cast out the wars on Earth. Let us keep our faiths together and realise our Chinese dream!
