万双网讯  6月21日，2020年最重要的天文奇观日环食天象隆重上演。为激发学生的科学兴趣，培养学生的科学素养，万科双语学校学生在科学老师的要求下，在家中或户外展开了观测活动，上了一堂生动自然的科学课。

VBS News Net: The annular eclipse of the decade took place on 21st June. Instructed by science teachers, VBS students conducted observational activities at home or outdoor space to develop their interests and attainments in science.

在观测开始前（6月16日下午），VBS在学校剧场举办了科学知识讲座“日食来了”。科学老师李音用生动的小视频和学生的现场表演向全体小学生讲解了日食发生的原因、日食的类型及观测日食的注意事项。李老师叮嘱同学们要佩戴专用的太阳观察镜进行观测，无论是环食还是偏食阶段，都不能用眼睛直接看太阳。

A science lecture about eclipse was held at the theatre on 16th June. Interactive videos prepared by Science teacher Ms. Li and mini-performance put up by students illustrated everything students needed to know about eclipse. Ms. Li emphasised that special goggles ought to be worn during the observation as eyes could be hurt if observed the Sun with naked eyes.

周末观测期间，孩子们购买了专业日食眼镜进行观测，并用白纸记录了日食的轨迹，写下了自己的心得体会，对日食发生的原因、观测方法、小孔成像原理等等有了更深层次更直观的了解。

During the weekend, students purchased the goggles to observe the eclipse and recorded it down with their reflections. Hence they had a better understanding on the occurence of eclipse and principles of image by pinholes.

有的同学让月牙在白纸上组成了“中国”二字；有的同学组成了“爱万双”的字样……

Some students wrote China and love VBS using crescents.

2C班罗邦穆同学认真画下了12个日食观察图，记录了日食的变化；

Gao Yuting from 3C presented the pictures he took during observation and comparing the Sun with an orange.

初中的同学们在天台上采用多种方法观测：他们用带滤镜片的望远镜观看；用蜡烛把玻璃片烤黑，再用黑玻璃片观看；在水盆里滴适量墨汁，搅拌成黑色水，通过倒影法观看日食；用小孔成像法看太阳的光斑……

Junior secondary students used multiple methods to observe the eclipse - binoculars with protective layers, dark glasses, image by pinholes and inverted image by mixing ink and water.

孩子们的眼里，闪烁着对知识的渴求的光芒。这堂别样的科学课充分激发了同学们的好奇心和学习的内驱力，培养了同学们的科学探索精神，同时也在同学们心底留下了难忘的美好印记。

Students were eager to acquire knowledge during this activity. This unique and memorable Science class motivated them to find out more about knowledge and studies while developing their attitude to explore science
