万双网讯  日前，由深圳市龙华区教育科学研究院主办的龙华区首届青少年国际素养演讲大赛落下帷幕，近2000 名龙华学子参与了本次大赛。万科双语学校喜获1个特等奖，9个一等奖，13个二等奖，20个三等奖，展示了VBS未来少年卓越的国际素养。

VBS News Net: Organised by Shenzhen Longhua Education Science and Research Institute, the first Longhua District Youth International Literacy Speech Contest has concluded in recent days with nearly two thousand students from Longhua District took part in this speech contest. VBS students have received one Distinction prize, nine First prizes, 13 Second prizes, 20 Third prizes to demonstrate the international literacy from VBS youth of the future.

此次演讲大赛以“抗击疫情、全球合作”为主题。全区参与比赛的学生从美国、日本、韩国、意大利、西班牙、德国、英国、法国、伊朗、澳大利亚、印度、巴西、塞尔维亚、俄罗斯等国任选一国，扮演所选国的官员或国民，用英语或者所选国家的母语进行了 3 分钟左右的演讲。演讲内容涵盖所选国家目前疫情传播的基本情况、抗击疫情的措施和政策、面临的主要困难、需要怎样的国际支持、有何国际合作建议等。参赛选手需提交3分钟视频，由评委从演讲内容、演讲技巧与激情、发音措辞、思维深度等四个维度进行评价。

This contest had the theme on 'global collaboration against coronavirus outbreak'. Students could role-play any citizen or officials from the US, Japan, South Korea, Italy, Spain, Germany, the UK, France, Iran, Australia, India, Brazil, Serbia and Russia in English or their native language for a three-minute speech. The speech content ranged from the current situation of the outbreak in the country, the measures or policies taken against the virus and main difficulty which they need support from the international community as well as relevant suggestions for international cooperation. Participants had to submit their speech in video form, which judges evaluated based on content of speech, tone of speech, pronounciation, insights.

本次参赛提升了VBS学子的国际视野，提高了学生关注国际时事和国家大事的意识，展示了学生参与国际话题讨论和问题解决的能力，也是VBS加力课程取得的重要成果。

By participating in this contest, VBS students have broadened their international horizons and increased their awareness on current affairs as well as their ability to discuss international issues and solve problems, which is the important result of studying VBS The Extra Mile Curriculum.
