秋风乍起，

暑气已去。

50多支不加任何防腐剂的润唇膏，

在孩子们的手中变得格外靓丽。

它们将带着孩子们浓浓的爱，

飞到遥远的大西北，

为那里的孩子们滋润皮肤，

让爱的清泉润泽孩子们的心田。

Made manually by VBS students on 14th October, over 50 special lip balms with no preservatives added would be delivered to pupils in northwest China who were having a long period of winter.

这天下午，正值社团活动课时间，这可是孩子们最最期待的时光啊，踢足球、排话剧、画画、弹琴跳舞，孩子们可以尽情的释放自我，可是今天大家却纹丝不动，安静地坐在教室里，听老师讲那遥远的故事：

In order to make these lip balms, students took off their society activities period when they could have been doing their most enjoyable activities. But first, they sat still in the classroom and listened to their teachers telling them the story,

“孩子们，在我国西北地区，有个叫曲麻莱县河乡措池村的地方，那里属于高海拔地区，一年有7个月是冬天。那里的孩子没有我们这么宽敞的操场，明亮的教室，他们甚至连一件像样的棉衣、棉鞋都没有，但他们渴望知识，渴望美好的生活，翻山越岭去上学，不畏艰险勤努力，学校、老师和你们的爸爸妈妈们希望能尽大家的能力帮帮他们，好吗？”

'In northwest China, a village called Cuoshi was located in high altitude region He County, Qumalai, where winter lasts for seven months. Students there do not have a big playground or bright classrooms like we do, some of them do not even have proper clothes or shoes. But they have aspire to knowledge and a better life so they climb up mountains to school. Can we do our best trying to help them?'

“老师，我把我的棉衣给他们！”，“老师，我有棉鞋！”“老师，我给他们寄书，我会把我最喜爱的书分享给他们！”孩子们众志成城，几分钟内便已经形成小组，筹划义捐活动。

'I can donate my clothes to them,' one student answered. 'I have some shoes for them,' the other student said. 'I would like to give them my favourite books,' another student told the teacher. Students voluntarily formed groups to plan for donations quickly.

“孩子们想不想亲手为他们做点事情？”

'Do you guys also want to do something for them?' asked by teacher.

“想”。孩子们异口同声。

'Yes!' answered by students.

只见思瑞妈妈将精心准备的一大包物料打开对孩子们说：“同学们，措池村寄宿小学的同学们要迎接漫长的冬天，他们的脸可能被寒风吹的皲裂，他们的手有可能长冻疮，他们的爱笑的嘴唇也可能干到开裂，今天阿姨准备了这些纯天然植物精华，咱们为他们做唇膏好不好？”

Sirui's mother took out the materials which she had prepared and said, 'pupils from Cuochi Village Boarding School is having a long period of winter ahead. Students can be inflicted by frost bites and dry skins even chapped lips. Today I bring all the natural plant extracts, we can make lip balms for them. Shall we?'   

“好！”同学们热情高涨，跃跃欲试，认真听取思瑞妈妈讲解操作步骤，有序分组分发制作原料及器材。

Students were excited to make lip balms and listened closely to the instructions. They distributed ingredients and apparatus in an organised manner.

开始啦，孩子们在专业老师思瑞妈妈的指导下，量杯、滴管、电子秤、小电炉，样样齐全；按比例称重、混合搅拌，炙烤温度控制道道工序严格把关，瞬间大家 俨然变成了一个个小小化学家。一阵紧张有序的工作，终于，量杯里呈现出漂亮的金黄色液体，可以装焙啦。

Guided by Sirui's mother, students learned to use all the apparatus, measuring cups, weighing balance, mini heater and droppers. Everyone turned themselves into a chemist by following the manual for making lip balms - weighing, mixing, controlling the temperature. Contained by the measuring cups, the golden-colored liquid was ready to be loaded.

最后一道工序，要将量杯里的液体倒入一支支小小的唇膏盒里，这可是个细致活啊，成功与否在此一举，弄洒了可就前功尽弃啦。男孩子们纷纷推荐班里做事认真细致的女生来完成最后一个步骤，女孩子们不辱使命，一支支圆润饱满的唇膏竖立在书桌上，冷却封口贴上暖暖的玫瑰花便签。

The last step was to pour the liquid into the tubes. Recommended by all the boys in the class for their meticulousness, the girls poured the liquid into the tubes without missing a drop and sealed it with stickers.

就这样，一节课的时间4C班的全体师生和家长，纯手工做出了50多支不加任何防腐剂的润唇膏。有的孩子小手被量杯烫了也不吱声，看着自己的劳动成果异常开心，想着在遥远的地方有一群少年能用上我们的唇膏，滋润他们的嘴唇，让他们在寒冷干燥的冬天尽情的微笑，大家无比自豪。

50 handmade without preservatives were made by 4C and its communities using one period of class. It was burning to hold measuring cups, but some students withstood the heat to carry on and were proud of themselves to complete the task on making lip balms for the students in the northwest region.

万物可爱，生活明朗。人间值得，来日方长。万科双语学校4C班的全体师生会同家长们秉承万双办学理念，形成一道清泉，不断以微薄之力浇灌身边一切需要的地方，把爱传出去，让孩子们成长为敢于创造美好未来的中国好公民。

Life is beautiful. Together with 4C, teachers and parents has sticked to the VBS school philosophy and sent their love and care to the communities whom need it the most. It truly reflects the process to nurture Chinese citizens who dare to create a better future.
