VBS net news: The 35th Teachers' Day for Chinese teachers eventually arrived. With greetings by parents and students, VBS teachers celebrated their second Teachers' Day since the establishment of VBS on 10th September 2019. On this day, VBS held teachers' day award ceremony at school theatre to reward excellent teachers and staff who have worked over the year. Over a hundred VBS staff participated in this ceremony.

Since the establishment of VBS, VBS staff had demonstrated fantastic teamwork and tenacity for education under Principal Ms Cara Yang's leadership. Together, they opened up students' possibilties with enriching lessons, much love and care. As a result, VBS received the recogition from the society.

The ceremony began with teachers' singing presentation and gave out awards to teachers and staff with outstanding performance. The awards consisted of Founding School Award, Excellent Teachers Award, Excellent Class Teachers Award, Most Favourite Teachers Award, Excellent Life Teachers Award, Outstanding Services Award, Special Contribution Award and Excellent Teachers in Longhua District Education System Award. 

Awardees were emotional upon acknowledgement and showed their love and appreication to VBS. 

In the closing statement, Principal Ms Cara Yang stated that holding this ceremony was to motivate teachers and staff to learn from those awardees. She encouraged all teachers and staff to work closely together as a team to create and foresee a better future.

Dear fellow teachers,

Happy Teachers’ Day! Today marks the 35^thTeachers’ Day and also the second one for our VBS. First of all, let us say to ourselves a “Happy Teachers’ Day !”. Many festivals come with public holidays, except for today. It is because if we give ourselves a break, the children are helpless. 

Yet for the teachers from VBS, this Teachers’ Day today means a lot. We need to be here to award excellence, search for role models and specify our directions. So today, at this moment, we ask our colleagues in charge of security and student volunteers from Grade 8 to take charge of activities of the entire cohort. This gives us the opportunity to sit together and hold this simple yet ceremonious Teachers’ Day recognition conference.

Since the founding of VBS over a year, excellent teaching staff such as Mr Ross and Ms Zheng Jiajia have emerged. They are courageous, loyal to school, devote themselves to students and education. They bring sunshine to the campus and enable VBS to go forward against all adversity. 

Excellent class teachers such as Ms Liu Lingling and Mr Huang Yuanming reach out to students and parents to send love and from VBS, to create a warm home at VBS for children to be nurtured without worries or anxieties. 

The most favourite teachers by the students such as Ms Niu Chuyuan and Ms Lara come forth to demonstrate VBS teaching staff’s professional attitude, outstanding teaching and extensive knowledge. They facilitate the kids to work hard towards academic excellence.

We have caring life teachers like Ms Zhang Yanyan and Ms Zhong Suting who treat every student as their own children and support class teachers without complaint, so that parents need not worry about their children and focus on their career. 

Ms Shi Shuang and Mr Wu Jian represent the service crew who handle all matters with no grumbles. They ensure the regular operations of VBS and they show up at the most difficult and tiring times. Teachers, don’t forget to say “Thank you” to them after getting their assistance.  

We also have many teachers with special contributions such as Ms Sun Xiaomeng and Mr Mark who devote themselves and make outstanding contributions within their own job scope, as well as the ones who contribute outside their own job scope. 

Ms Wu Ping has come to the fore as the excellent teacher within the Longhua District Educational system, they are ranked top in the overall assessment of morality, ability, attendance and results.

Congratulations again to the above-mentioned teachers receiving awards. They are role models to be followed by fellow teachers. We wish them to continue putting in effort. For teachers who have yet to receive awards, work hard to stand on stage next year. For those teachers who have just joined us, be laborious and emulate those role models. 

Teaching is the greatest and most selfless profession in the world. We are the important others over students’lives, we need lofty ideologies and outstanding teaching so that we guide our children to grow. 

Teachers, you all know this saying: we all are VBSers after looking ourselves in the eyes. We encounter difficulties and challenges over the future, we need to put in sheer hard work to get blessed by the Goddess and let VBS stay at the centre among the schools in the heart of teachers, students and parents.

Last but not the least, we hope all VBS staff to pull together and work hard as a team so that we can be creative and work together closely to foresee the better future.
