万双网讯  近日，第23届深圳读书月系列主题活动——深圳市第六届中小学生英语演讲与辩论大赛获奖名单出炉，万科双语学校176名学生分别荣获演讲、写作、朗读等各项大奖。其中，4C班严熹同学获得小高组演讲季军（深圳市第三名），148名同学荣获朗读一等奖，8名同学荣获演讲一等奖，5名同学荣获写作一等奖，12名教师荣获优秀辅导教师奖。

VBS Net News  Recently, the winners of the 23rd Shenzhen Reading Month Series theme event - the 6th Shenzhen English Speech and Debate Contest for Primary and Secondary School Students were released. 176 students from Vanke Bilingual School won awards in speech, writing and reading aloud. Among them, Yan Xi from class 4C won the Third Place in the speech of the primary school group (the Third Place in Shenzhen), 148 students won the Excellent Prize in reading aloud, 8 students won the First Prize in speech, 5 students won the First Prize in writing, and 12 teachers won the Excellent Tutoring Teacher Award.

本届深圳市中小学生英语演讲与辩论大赛于2022年11月17日举办，赛程长达两个多月。学生通过网上提交作品参与初赛、复赛，复赛获一等奖的同学于2023年2月11日参与现场总决赛。大赛主题为YOUNG VOICE，由深圳读书月EDS大赛组委会办公室和深圳特区报企业发展有限公司主办，旨在培养学生在日常学习生活中对英语的综合运用能力，提高英语阅读能力，激发对英语学习的兴趣，扩充英语词汇，拓宽知识领域，全面提升学生的综合素养及国际素养。

This year's Shenzhen English Speech and Debate Competition for Primary and Secondary School Students will be held on November 17, 2022, and the competition schedule will last for more than two months. Students submit their works online to participate in the preliminary and semi-finals, and the students who win the first prize in the semi-finals participate in the on-site finals. The theme of the contest is YOUNG VOICE, sponsored by the Shenzhen Reading Month EDS Contest Organizing Committee Office and Shenzhen Special Zone Newspaper Enterprise Development Co., Ltd. It aims to cultivate students' comprehensive ability to use English in their daily study and life, improve their English reading ability, and stimulate their interest in English learning，expand English vocabulary, broaden the field of knowledge, and comprehensively improve students' comprehensive and international literacy.

Among them, Math, Science, and Music are based on Chinese teaching materials, and bilingual integration courses are carried out. The English class taught by the Chinese English teacher is integrated with the ESL course. The Drama class provides students with a higher-level display platform for English language ability, and deeply explores the potential of students in various aspects such as English literature and stage performance. The PE class of foreign teachers provides football special courses for grades 1 to 3, and basketball special courses for students above grade 4. While improving students' physical literacy, it also enhances students' ability to apply sports English.

严熹：坚持不懈 不断挑战

我是4C班严熹，去年我获得了小低组亚军，今年获得了小高组季军。我演讲的题目是《My favourite book》。在比赛中，我认识了许多优秀的选手和专家评委，他们是我学习的榜样。同时，我学会了正确看待自己的优势和不足，不断发现新的自我。我知道只有不断地挑战自己和坚持学习，才有可能站上领奖台。

平时我会提醒自己在说话的时候字正腔圆，注意表达逻辑，养成良好的行为习惯，注意举止和表情管理，多听，多练，多看，多讲，训练自己的台风和心态。比赛前，我会和妈妈一起研究主题，写稿子背稿子，一起去了解演讲稿的故事背景，准备服装道具，通过观看录制的视频来改善自己的表现。

每一次比赛都是一次学习和成长的机会。我建议大家平时多读英文故事，可以背诵一点小文章或者看英文电影，积极参加英文比赛和英文分享活动，经过坚持不懈地积累和学习，相信大家的英文都会有很大进步！
